Ditch the macro math with MacrosFirst and start designing your meals around your macronutrient goals today. Whether you're a flexible dieter or meal prepper, we built MacrosFirst to make macro tracking easy, to give you certainty about the macros you’re eating, and to give you the confidence to try new foods knowing that you’re still hitting your macronutrient goals.

No other app is as easy to use and gives you the flexibility to set your own custom macro goals, to build your own custom meals, composed of your foods measured the way you like to measure them.

WHY WE’RE BETTER THAN OTHER APPS

• Daily macro tracking: Set a macro goal per day and then track what you ate against your goal while preserving your macro per meal breakouts.
• Custom daily meals: Whether you eat 3 meals a day or 6, we've got you covered. Create your own custom recurring meals even with their own macro targets.
• Start with the Macros: Specify your protein, carb, or fat goal in grams per food and MacrosFirst will calculate each food’s required serving in order to achieve your meal’s goals. No more macro math!
• Create & Save your Meals: Save and name your favorite meals for easy retrieval whether you’re in the kitchen or on the go.
• Measure your Foods your way: Almond butter in tablespoons, rice in grams, pancake mix in cups, eggs in… well, eggs; You choose the metric of measurement that’s most convenient for you per food.
• 4,000,000+ food database of global items and cuisines. Virtually every food you eat is in our database already and if it's not, you can create a custom food.
• Barcode scanner - Add a food just by scanning it's barcode. Over 3 million barcodes recognized!
• Customize your Food’s Macros: If your diet doesn’t count the fats in a lean protein then you don’t have to either. You can edit any of the macros in your foods and customize them per your diet.
• Sync your account and access MacrosFirst on your phone, tablet, and computer.

Overall I love the app. It needs a few things but it's far better than the other apps. 1) Need a feature to average the macros for the week. 2) Need a bigger library of foods with more accurate macros. 3) After entering the initial weight (g, oz, ml), if I go back to adjust due to eating changes or errors, I can't adjust the weight method. I have to delete the whole thing and start over. Huge issue, most frustrating. 4) Need quick share snapshot feature of daily totals.

I have been using MacrosFirst for a month now and LOVE it. The simplicity of the app has kept me consistent with my tracking. Features I personally love include: ability to scan barcode, create your own food if it's not listed and the percentages make it easy to track your progress. Great app. I've referred it to many people!

There is no "net carb", the recipe doesn't calculate total weight itself.

This app is awesome! I've been using others like MyMacros and MyFitnessPal for a while now but never liked either of them. I decided to look for something better and discovered Macros First. Wow, what a night and day difference in terms of user-friendly features! I love being able to add things to my "kitchen" in the app and find *my* items easily and clearly when I search. I love how the app converts anything to grams for you if you choose. So much better than the other apps!

Absolutely in love with this app! I've tried many before but this is the only one I've stuck with. You can adjust macros to better fit you or stick with their calculations. Their food library is small, but the in app barcode scanner works well. Building & adjusting recipes is relatively easy, but could be easier with a larger library. My favorite thing is that it encourages you to "close the rings" so that rather than aiming to restrict I feel encouraged to eat well rounded meals.

I like the app. It makes it super easy to keep track of everything. My only complaint is that there's no way to share the data with other apps like Google fit.

Day one down loaded app put in my information but not sure of whats next. Maybe the app could have some tutorials to help navigate.

I'm looking for an alternative to MyFitnessPal because I can't stand it anymore, so I've been trying several app. I've tried this one but it didn't convince me much. It has some pros and cons. Pros: Nice clean interface, it responds quickly, it is easy to add a new product, the "basic" foods are correct and you can chose between several measure units, although, you can see that most of the products are converted from cups or other "weird" standard unit, it has also a nice function "Share the meal" where you share a picture of your meal with the macros (as suggestion it would be nice if you could store the picture of your meal for the future to recheck what you have eaten) Cons: It doesn't have a web interface, the database is empty, I mean, I've scanned a lot of food and I've found only 1 product (I live in UK), the yogurt Fage 0% (and the values weren't really correct, you can see that probably they have been converted from cups to grams), but overall I don't mind to insert new food in the db, I prefer to insert a new food instead of finding often a wrong one. The product insert doesn't follow the standard nutrition label, the order is not the same, it is not a big deal but it is uncomfortable when you are trying do add a new food, most of the time the label are smalls and if you also need to search the value instead of following the product label it takes the double of the time. The layout is nice but if you have a lot of food on your list and you scroll up and down the main graph can cover your food limiting the visibility of the food, plus there is a lot of white space (reduce the padding please), so if you have 20 records on your list, it becomes uncomfortable to scroll down to add the dinner for instance. The app doesn't support the saturated fat. You can't add it. I understand that is not a macro per se, but for the same principle neither the fibers that are instead supported, and last but not the least: It is expensive: 11 pounds per month or 74 per year, for what? To add most of my food manually? To track water intake? Other apps do it for free (or at least for less money), same for other functionalities. It is a pity because it has potential but it is too expensive for what it offers.

Very cool app, but would be great to see daily sugar intake, the same way fiber and sodium is shown, or at least if I could configure what's displayed there. So currently you cannot track your daily sugar intake - although there is a "Sugar Alcohols" field you can fill in for every food, this data seems useless for the app.

Best Free Macro Tracker ive used hands down. Simple layout(especially after the updated interface) easy to add and save foods. I just track fat, protien, and carbs. So i dont use the extra features, making the free version a complete solution for me.
