If you've already bought these lights save your time and take them back for a refund! I couldn't even get set up without some roundabout workarounds I found online. Even then I have to reset the lights every time I use them and reboot the app any time I want to even change the color or brightness. Now, after 2 weeks they've stopped responding to the app altogether and won't reconnect. Their support forums are hiding negative feedback and blaming customers for them not working. Total waste.

For a couple months now, my lights and groups have gone from partially present to completely unlinked and not present. I am also unable to add them back. As of now, my LiFx lights are completely worthless. I am reading that this is a known issue and cannot believe they are not communicating and rolling back to a prior stable version immediately. I have been a user since the initial Kickstarter. Very disappointed right now. The app has always been a bit finicky but I always put up with it.

For those that are having issues connecting bulbs. When adding a device; on the page that shows your 2.4GHz WiFi name, tap it and manually type in your password. You must enter your password for each light you're adding. If you hit next with your WiFi name selected but don't enter the password manually, the connection will fail, and you'll have to reser the bulb by turning the bulb on and off 5 times.

Been a loyal Lifx user for years, got my first one right after the crowdfunding models were released. The product, and this app are horrible now. Just experienced my 4th or 5th hardware failure this year, but thought it was at least refreshing that the app now had a built in support chat as of Oct. 5 2021. Trying to use the built in support chat has completely crashed my app and made it so the only way I can access my lights is through Google Home and Assistant. I'm done and moving over to Hue.

The lights actually are pretty great. The app on the other hand is not good. It often needs to be force closed and re-opened to work correctly. Has been buggy like this for years and years. Very poor and careless developers who totally ignore feedback.

This app's fine... If you have the latest gen bulbs. LIFX hasn't been great about firmware support for previous models, which experience intermittent connectivity issues to varying degrees. I have 1-2 bulbs from each gen - the oldest ("LIFX Original") drop connection so often now they're almost useless yet haven't been updated in years. My biggest fear with LIFX, and why I'm not buying more for a while, is this pattern will repeat turning all my perfectly functional hardware into paperweights.

The calendar is really weird, have to select AM to get it to PM sometimes, clearing cache seems to fix it temporarily. When you are in another time zone "sometimes" it uses your location time, otherwise the bulbs time zone. It is never consistent.

I own the bulbs that were two of the first off the assembly line. That was a long time ago and might be near 10 years ,and still have the boxes. I especially enjoy red at night, as it reminds me of the military and it's kind of become my trademark go to color. I have noticed though I hae real problems when the power goes out. Did I mention the employees? Well, they are very, very, special folks, and that is why LIFX works.

In my opinion this has one of the worst apps of its type. Bulbs appear to be ok but ruined by the app and if you want to delete it and start again you have to wait 15 days. Seriously??? I am about to throw the lot away and move completely to KASA, they are light years ahead. (No pun intended)

No more lost connection issues is great but adjusting the lights is still very glitchy. For example, changing the color will often change the brightness, and changing the brightness will change the color. Takes several tries to get the correct brightness and color to stick.
