In my opinion Hulu needs to do some major changing and updating. They need to get their act together. I pay monthly for an app that hardly works. I try to stream on my TV and constantly have issues. Most of the time it will load an ad, but not the TV show. It shuts down, starts over, or doesn't open. I'm to the point where it isn't worth the money. Im giving it a few more weeks to see if any changes are made. If not, I'm canceling...oh. and I can stream all of my other apps just fine.

apk The content is great; however, the app lags pretty consistently while trying to watch a show or movie. It isn't the wifi, and I never have any problems like this with other competing streaming apps. It gets pretty annoying to constantly have to rewind the show just so it will stop lagging. Also, the formatting of the app is lacking. When clicking on content to resume watching, it doesn't take you directly to the show page with all the episodes, only to the one episode you left off on. Annoying.

i absolutely love Hulu. I had Netflix for a long time but found myslf paying for something I wasn't watching. Then a friens told me about Hulu. i signed up for the free trial and I absolutely am extremely happy I decided to switch to Hulu. The price is better than Netflix charges and there are more of my favorite shows on Hulu and the movie selection is good as well. You won't make a mistake going with Hulu instead of Netflix.

I have the Disney plus Hulu bundle. I'm fine with having adds, but I wish that Hulu would put all of them at the beginning and end/just the beginning or end of the show like some other apps. Its very annoying to have a 30 second add right from the start of my show, then again 1 minute 50 seconds in, then again during the middle of the show, then AGAIN right before the credits. Hulu, I understand you are running a business, but please try to be more customer friendly with you add placements.

POS app if you have a Samsung Galaxy brand anything. The app can't differentiate when it is being turned to have a larger screen or when it is in full size mode so it automatically flips through all of your saved programs without giving you control of what you are watching. Also, HULU, thanks for screwing people out of the 'no commercial' option that you pay for. You pay to have commercials removed yet you still get them (make sure to read the disclaimer they provide).

Subscribed live tv plus no ads. Heck I'm getting more and longer ads with my "no ads" subscription . And Ads commercials VOLUME are all REALLY LOUD. WHY..???? Then after ads are done the volume goes back to normal settings. Watched a movie recently, didn't even finished the movie because of 90 seconds ads pop up..and another movie started playing right after the ads. Come on hulu get it corrected

I very much plan to unsubscribe from this and get youtube tv. When i record a whole series i feel like it should record the whole series not 2 or 3 games whenever it feels like it. The dvr service on hulu is TERRIBlE. It will only eecord about half if the things you tell it to.. What is the point? Now i have to pull up game highlights on youtue. And i keep asking myself why i dont just have youtube tv instead.. Terrible services.

Often doesn't remember where I left off on a show or movie. Or even when I would like to rewind or fast forward a bit, I have to watch a second round of 80 seconds of commercials. Before I've actually watched any amount of content. Second, I have to select my profile each time. It's only me, but it's just a second useless step. Then it randomly signs me out, so I have to painfully input my credentials via TV remote. And I pay for this!

I subscribe to multiple streaming sites, this is literally the only one that doesnt have the option to skip recaps/intros. I recently got HBO a much newer app and it already has this feature. I pay for the highest end hulu and have for many years, I would have expected them to put this in as a feature by now.

If you were to have international captions on the majority of your content like Netflix does I just know that would make more people subscribe. I feel that is one reason Netflix has more people subscribed than Hulu. I'm bilingual my husband is not, he tried the 30 day trial and never renewed cause there's barely captions on a lot of your content.

I updated my Hulu app and it ran great for 2 weeks. For the last 3 weeks it hasn't worked at all. I can cast all of my other stuff, but when I put my email and password in, it's slow and says "server timed out." I'm wasting $58.39 a month for an app that doesn't work. And we've tried it from 3 different devices thinking maybe it was my cell phone but I've never had issues before like this. Sometimes I would have to uninstall and reinstall the app and it worked fine. I'm disappointed!

Can't change my regular Hulu to bundle and save through the app without having to cancel the month I currently have that I paid for. Can't download and watch movies and shows offline anymore and no shows have a start over option (kids rewatch shows Hulu!) Plus nothing exciting on Hulu anymore, same reason why I left Netflix. No good movies or shows lately. I can't just sit here and rewatch 90s and sucky 2020 movies over and over again. Thinking about just buying cable again.

The base service plan is just plain garbage, and the ad less plan is astronomical in price(not for what it is but most of the more is useless to me). Got this with my Disney + because I figured I'd try the services bundle, and with less than five minutes of use I'm certain the Hulu base plan is most certainly not worth it.

The app is okay. It's worth the free trial because the limited programing isn't for everyone. I only have it because it comes with a phone plan and as a free add on, it's still okay at best. It doesn't become truly good entertainment until $60+ a month at which point you might as well get cable. Seems the price jumps quite frequently too.

I originally liked this app but now it tells me I need to "open my app when I get home". Well I've done it multiple times but still can't watch anything live. I'm paying for this and you all have put restrictions on my account. You give no details on fixing it or her than "open the app". If this doesn't fix it I will drop the app and cancel my subscription! 😡 Fed up!!

I used to love it but they changed the volume. The shows are low and the commercials are SUPER loud. I used to watch all the time but the commercials are ridiculous. I guess this is a ploy to upgrade. But I mostly watch other streaming. Oh and to many ads. You still pay if it's as free or not but to many. And if I far forward to the party I haven't seen I still have to watch a bunch of ads. You can't skip intro of shows.

No option to get rid of all the commercials when you purchase thru Disney? Would have been nice to know Hulu would drown me in 90s ads every 10-15min. As well as at the end of the show, right before the credits? Id pay X amount of extra $ to do away with the ads. Good shows and movies, besides that. Would be 5 stars.

Horrible 1st Time, Worse as a Returning Customer! The App on Phone is fine, but Hulu for TV is Unwatchable. The commercials volume are so loud I have to have the remote in hand to turn it down. Same reason I left the first time over a year ago, and the problem is way worse, now I'm leaving Hulu for good. Hulu's response is the same as the first time, "Our team is working on it...here's a 1 month credit" No real action to fix the problem, and the same standard reply to all who complain of this.

Was hoping to make a suggestion. What would make this even more great than it already is, is if the app still played in the background while using our phones for other things. I'm one of those people that multitasks on my phone and like to still watch my shows while doing other things :)

The subtitles of the translation of foreign language is blocked by [speaking foreign language] on the screen. I got the Disney +, ESPN. And Hulu bundle, is there a way to upgrade to the commercial free Hulu? When I click a notification during a show, It takes me back to the beginning of the show and I have to rewatch a 30 sec commercial. It doesn't remember where I left off at.

I have some problems with Hulu: 1. There are way too many ads. I am already paying for this service so at least show less ads, or none at all. This isn't like YouTube, which is free, this is a monthly payment with ads. 2. If you are going to show ads, at least give us a little variety. In the past week, I have seen the same 3 ads over and over again. The only reason I use Hulu is to watch shows I can't find anywhere else. Other than that, this streaming service is garbage. Great when it connects to the internet. The app says weak connection everything on all my devices will connect to the internet. Go back to Hulu and no connection. Okay my router modem is 7 years old; so I buy a new bad ass nighthawk thing and internet gaming speeds waaaay up! Cool. So I go watch Hulu... Again no connection. I check the updates; all up to date! Check all my new new 2020 devices; LG tv, S20plus phone, 2020 Samsung tab, iPad, iphone nothing. More like Bulu, am I right?

Currently one star until the app is fixed. Wouldn't play on 2 of my devices, including Roku and my mobile. Finally got it to play on one Roku, still won't play on my mobile, error after error. Has been going on a month, started with no sound playing in episodes, then the videos wouldn't load, and now, nothing will play. If this isn't fixed by next week, they'll lose a long time customer as I've repeatedly told Hulu of the problems and I'm not going to pay $13 a month, for no service.

not sure why I have to restart the entire app every two episodes at most or the video quality is so bad that it's unwatchable. I have Prime, HBOMAX, Netflix, Disney+, Showtime, Shudder and more, and no other app does this. it already at BEST plays in terrible quality... this is a lot of money for extremely blurry content. and I haven't even gotten to how my progress is almost never saved, so I'll go back to continue watching and it starts from where I left off weeks ago. which is helpful. 🙄

The people who run this app are obiviously not reading the reviews..most are negative! Fix your streaming service, Hulu! I am sick of having to manually restart ever single episode I have watched before..ALL IT DOES is play a commercial or two, the last 30 seconds of the episode, commercials, half the credits, commercial, and the loop over and over again each episode! ..and I never end episodes early so it makes no sense, and if I try to let it fix them and try it again, the same thing happens!!

tried watching a show played the opening credits, then proceeded to play 47 minutes of consecutive advertisement\commercials, afterward it played not even 1 whole minute of the show that I was trying to watch, proceeded to play 2 minutes of advertisement / commercials played less than a minute of the show that I was attempting to watch and started playing more advertisements and commercials again... so glad I added this to my plan just so I could watch ads thanks Hulu for the insult

LOVE IT, BETTER THAN NETFLIX OR PRIME. Now it won't cast at all. I've even had Best Buy out to check the TV, reset it many times, reset the modem and router to no avail. It was my favorite. Now I can only watch it on my tablet. Also cleared the cache. Bye Bye HULU. DEV: I don't know what you did but now its really bad. It was great before and now it wont let me cast at all. I have a 55" Toshiba. Even had Best Buy out to check TV. They say its YOU because I have no trouble with Pluto, Netflix,

I just got the app and I'm still exploring all the features, and I'm loving it so far but I'm seeing alot of things that should just be basic and are missing like the skip intro, some graphic settings. I'm really liking the update, being able to see more movies on screen at a time is the best but i prefer being able to slide between genres or topics instead of tabs at the top of my oversized screen

Can you PLEASE fix the glitch where if you watch an entire season, then watch it again, the next episode doesn't start at the credits? I literally went through all 8 season of LetterKenny before i woke up the next day. I had to erase it from my history to watch it normally again. I'm doing a one star to get your attention. I love your app except for this glitch. I'll gladly change it.

I'm starting to get more commercials than normal and it's not loading as fast as it used to. But other than that it's great. I wish there were more shows and movies unlocked but I cantcomplain. I dont pay for it every mo th it comes with a subscription with my phone.

My issue with hulu is the lagging and cutting up. It gets aggravating because when I watch the shows I cant always see all the scenes because it stays in certain areas. They dont save where you stop at sometimes and so you have to find the spot you were at. Sometimes the screen goes black from all the lagging and cutting up, sometimes audio gets cut off or chopped. The pro of this app is that at least I get to watch some stuff.

One of the greatest streaming apps on the market. The variety is stupendous with a huge variety of entertaining shows spanning from comedy, to horror, to documentaries. The ads while monotonous like they naturally are, are bearable. But with the premium Hulu subscription, you can watch T.V. uninterrupted. Either way, Hulu is worth your purchase.

When watching shows you have to select an interactive screen that is too time consuming or regular commercials, then after selecting regular commercials you are prompted a few minutes later. They are trying to force you to pay for commercial free. If you select regular commercials, it should not prompt you again. Do yourself a favor, find a different streaming service.

While Hulu has a better selection than Netflix, the app interface is TERRIBLE! Finding new content or going back to desired content that you haven't deliberately earmarked is laborious at best. If you watch a series, unless you start the next episode, it'll take you back to the prev episode when you continue. (BUT, if you're choosing between Hulu and Netflix, Netflix's offerings have diminished so substantially that they're the next Blockbusters. Hulu is flawed yet better nonetheless.)

The ads are so heavily peppered on the content you make it unbearable to watch the shows. I paused my show during an ad break because I'm so pissed off and tired of seeing all these ads. I never swear to God but I do swear to God I will delete this app forever when I'm done with this show. You will never see a single cent from me and you don't care how annoyed you make your viewers with this nonsense. This is an update to a review it seems I left a few months back asking you to go lighter on ads

I have used Hulu for a few years now but recently downgraded to with commercials so that i pay less. I mostly did this because there have been SO many problems with Hulu for several months now and it isnt worth paying that much for now. Even only paying $6-7 might not be worth it to me. It has to be the Hulu site itself with problems bc it doesnt matter where i watch. It has been glitching like crazy. It freezes in the middle of shows for no reason, and i have to shut down and restart it, for ex

The number And length of ads has gotten ridiculous. The shows have been good, but I am strongly considering getting rid of Hulu as it seems there are more ads than regular cable. It used to be less. A shame really that I'm watching more ads than a regular cable program

Totally useless. I get an error no matter what I try to play: Can't Play on This Display. Your device is connected to an unsupported display. Please make sure that you are connected to a display that supports HDCP and are not mirroring using Chromecast. This happens on my Samsung Note 10+, Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and Galaxy S8+ and I am only trying to play on the device itself. Hulu support is polite but clueless as to how to resolve. A 1 star rating is far too generous under the circumstances.

Ok so I just recently paid more money for live tv on hulu but every time I try to watch something I'm told that you "HULU" have encountered a problem and I should try to start the program over or choose something else. If there wasn't a problem collecting my money then there should not be a problem with me obtaining the services I've paid for. Either get it together or refund my money.

Love HULU! When I can't catch my shows on live TV, I can always watch them later on HULU. They have great offerings, tons of TV shows and the no add plan is perfect. You can watch all your shows w/o commercials. The price point is perfect. I highly recommend them!

Everything is great but I really dont like how when I start an episode from a show that i'm watching and it starts it at about 5 minutes before from where I left off. Its not a big deal but i'd give a 5 star if it were different, Id love to start exactly where I left off.

I LOVE Hulu's library, and they have an offline viewing option (which isn't included with our subscription) like everyone else so we can watch our shows on the go! And now that I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, I've been able to catch up on a LOT of my shows and movies with all of my streaming apps - NONE of which I've ever been able to use on my LG Stylo 2v, but hopefully the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be compatible! Also, streaming services reign supreme over cable AND satellite nowadays! 5🌟!

Not worth $7 a month when all they show are ads. There are so many ads and they increase them with every update. A 21 minute show has a 35 second ad before it starts and 3x 90 sec ads. So 5mins 5 sec in ads for 21 mins of programming. There is nothing limited about these ads. - the newly added movie and tv show section never updates so you can't find anything new. - no way to find movies or tv shows just added - no pinch to zoom function Shows are no longer added next day.

For whatever reason, I cannot stream live TV without the picture freezing. Audio comes through but the picture is gone no matter what frozen on a still. I have Uninstalled and re installed the app numerous times to no avail. The stream able options work fine within the app however live TV streaming is broken on my Oneplus 8 phone...

Terrible. No NFL network. You can't use Hulu on another smart tv if you are out of your home unless you cast from a portable device. So if you're on vacation in another state and the place you are staying at has hulu access you can't watch from you're own account. This is ridiculous. With YouTube TV you can still watch/listen to what you are watching as you scroll for something else to watch or switch to a different game to watch. Worst of all you can't skip commercials on recorded shows!

It was okay up until I learned you can't restart episodes on shows which is really stupid. They'll end with still 5 min left and just go to the next one and when you come back to that one it's stuck at the end of those 5 min causing me to have to skip a lot of episodes of shows I love. Please please PLEASE fix this!

I had to close my account because of false advertising. They say a free 30day trial of live tv. So I went with it but was charged $13 to try and even tho the 30 day trial wasn't up they shut off my service completely and want more money to turn it back on. Shouldnt advertise that something is free for 30days then shut it off 10 days later.

You guys have a lot to fix, and it seems like you process an update to fix one issue just for you to add 10 more issues lol no reason why my episodes are 10 min in and you're already trying to skip to the next episode.it happens on my phone as well as my roku. I use to have the cable, stars, and hbo thru you guys but now i just have the basic. I feel their is no reason to pay so much for nothing in return 🤷🏼♂️

Two big problems with Hulu. 1. The app seems to have way more connectivity issues with my Chromecast than Netflix does. 2. They recently updated how it displays what will autoplay next, which leaves a big block if text over the top of the screen for the last ~6 minutes of the show you are watching. It's really frustrating when the faces of show characters are 95% obscured by text!

Lots of content, but hulu is terrible at organizing it all. - They try to show you featured content over preferences. In tired of thumbs downing stuff. - When a show is playing in portrait instead of showing the order of episodes or info about what your watching, it shows the next episode only and then completly different shows. - Tv shows don't show when the next episode is coming. - No way to see watch history in app. They should look at VRV, or Netflix, who do all of these much better.

Its good but theirs way to many commercials. Especially when I pay an extra $6 a month for ad-free / commercial free hulu lol yeah right I havent watched a show yet on demand that didn't have a ridiculous amount of commercials in it you pay for no commercials but yet every single show you watch has way too many commercials so it's kind of a joke

I enjoy the various shows that are available on Hulu i gave a general 4 stars - mainly for 2reasons #1 navigation isnt very good, or the way i personally like #2 the cost is high, particularly since it isnt the only service that i pay for on a monthly basis**There's no way that i can tolerate commercials, even though i could take a few, no prob, but,too many minutes wasted on them, 1 or 2 at beginning & 1 or 2 at end is ok, so the cost is isnt commensurate

Bogusapp. After signing up and giving them mycard info for monthly usage N. Hulu continuesto try to get me to sign up everytime I sign in and recharge me for the subscription I am already paying for. Keeps offering the free trial when I am already pay full price monthly subscription.. Buyer beware. Google is in othis scam . Google The won't help you resolve it's a ploy to try to pay the duplicate subscription chGoogle isin on the scam . They won't let you cancel or refund duplicate subscriptions

Don't know what you did with this last update but i can't get anything to play. It says i need to set up a home location but it won't let me set it up now. So i can't watch hulu on anything now. I had no problems with hulu before. I will cancel my subscription if it is not fixed soon.

Created an account today .. Hulu said my password is wrong (even though you have two verifications).. So I thought I put the wrong password, so I reset it and then it said that it emailed me to reset.. Except.. It never emailed me a confirmation of the hulu account or a reset password.. So I went back to the screen and it said put in your CC information if you don't know your email .. and it is my correct email and I haven't received anything yet. So now Hulu has my CC Info and I can't cancel

Live TV verification is terrible. I'm at home and the app is telling me I'm not home. These apps data mine enough info as it is, so if I'm paying for a service I shouldn't have to deal with their inability to verify that my subscription is valid. Get your house in order Hulu.

I wouldn't waste your time or money with hulu. They act like they are better than Netflix when infact, Netflix is 100x better! With Netflix there is no: buffer every 2 effing seconds, and taking 30 mins to watch 10 mins of a show!! With hulu there is: buffering every 2 seconds, and taking 30 mins to watch 10mins of a show. GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTTS AND FIX THE EFFING ISSUE!!!

It just isnt want it should be... it has ads that overlap the commercials you skip and ruin the flow of the show. I constantly have to rewind after they force 120 second ads after I fast forward my DVR recording.. stream has consistent buffering issues...you guys wanna charge $65/mo for this experience!? If you're reading this, just go with another service, this ain't it.

It's a ok app but I just wish the dvr part of this app would work. When you push record you don't know if your recording is going to work or not. It shows up on the guide as recording on all devices but it isnt in your recordings. I no its this app because I tryed it on other devices and it worked fine. YOU CAN NOT USE THIS APP TO SETUP YOUR RECORDINGS IT DOES NOT WORK.

Too many commercials. Even when I have paid for no commercials, commercials are 3 minutes long. We use to love this app, but now we are constantly asking ourselves why we pay for this? We are getting rid of it. It was our main way of watching tv for years. Hate it now!

They keep charging more and adding more commercials. Add local news to favorites and you get news from two days ago. Says "upcoming" and never records it! Menu a pain. Finding local news huge pain. Especially local FOX news. Tells you something about thier leanings doesnt it? NBC and CNN are right there aren't they! Now try tracking down local FOX. Good luck! NOW I just paid extra $5 for fewer commercials, got more commercials! Yup. Then cancelled the $5 and got MORE commercials! Wow! Bad!

I struggle to get the app to open. I go into the Play Store and find the list of my apps and OPEN this app to get it to work. But I really like HULU ! Well... going into the Play Store to open the App isn't working. It takes about 20 minutes before the App opens. Not sure if the problem is being caused by a slow connection.

Hulu used to be great. They just lost South Park to HBO MAX, not a lot of reason to keep it, theres nothing new. Make sure you purchase their add ons though, if you already have both theres no way to link/combine. Have to cancel one or the other and buy an "add-on". I started with Hulu but Netflix has outperformed and out classed.

I pay for the full package $69.99 for no ads. I swear there are more ads and longer ads since I have upgraded my package. I have to restart my phone every time i want to watch HULU and half the time on my AppleTV. It's getting to the point I'm about to cancel it. No TV is better than irritating TV.

Doesn't work right with Android 11.. constantly crashes when locking my device while attempting to cast to a TV..........keep an eye on package prices...they will screw you over EVERY time they add a new one..started out paying less than $55/month for the Live with "no commercials" and now pay almost $95 because they remove content and charge extra to get it back through YET ANOTHER $15 add-on... cheaper than cable, but customer service sucks in EVERY WAY

Good experience so far with this app. Needs improvement on our ability to start a program from the beginning. Right now we have to resume and rewind within the show or movie. Adding this function would make this app great on all platforms.

You know it's frustrating? Having commercials cause the feed to pause during the playoffs. You have to fast forward to get the stream working again. Hulu of course blames you but there's a lot of evidence that a lot of people are having this problem. The DVR seems broken as well. Shows added to the record are not recording.

Since about a month or so ago the app fails to get passed the splash screen 75% of the time and when it does it will rarely play the videos. It either just loads forever or gives you an error code. No other apps have lost functionality other than hulu. I have done multiple speed tests, among other things, to make sure the problem is not on my end. The ads are also ridiculous, they themselves make me not want to use the app.

I can say I love Hulu better than Netflixs, but the only problem that I have with Hulu is that almost everything is lock. They want you to get a plan like live TV or HBO max to watch movies and that is really expensive. The only reason why I got with hulu was because it offer more than, and they have up to date movie than Netflix now I see Netflix is way cheaper. The overall i give this app 50/50.

Won't cast: through the app we reached the first step where the TV screen shows the words, "ready to cast," but then won't complete the task of streaming whatever show we pick. The app just continues with the loading screen and then eventually disconnects. Extremely dissatisfied.

I've had Hulu for several years & never had many problems. However, the past month the settings gear for closed captions has disappeared, so they're either always ON or always OFF. To get the gear to reappear I have to Stop Casting or logon & off. What a pain, Hulu....how 'bout fixing this?

I don't know what y'all did in the last couple of updates, but it's started draining my battery faster, even on battery saving mode with the screen turned off. I had 75% battery last night, on battery save mode, turned the screen off, woke up 6 hours later to leave and the battery was completely dead. I've been having to keep this phone on the charger while streaming to chromecast, because this app drains battery so badly the last couple of updates, I haven't had to do that before.

Can we go back to the way Hulu use to be?! I'm not sure why they've changed things but it stinks! I'm not always home to use my wifi because I like to watch shows while I'm at work or traveling. But now they are saying that I have to connect to my HOME wifi in order to watch live TV. Are you kidding me?! Lately, I've tried to watch live TV over my wifi network and it is giving me an error message saying that I have to connect to my home wifi. I was and my location was turned on. Get it together!

Would have given a 5 star but I won't until they fix the problem with keeping track of my shows. I'm 8 minutes away from finishing a show when then I have to leave so I close the app and i come back later and they restart the entire show over and i have to find where I left off. And they only have old movies on here from the 90's

This app is garbage. Half the time when the episode is over, the next episode button doesn't appear, and no matter what I've tried, the cast button that lets you control your console app using the phone app is nowhere to be found. Good work hulu....... Very impressive

Much improved but please add option to disable surround sound like Amazon Prime does in the caption setting. On Chromecast Dolby (I assume) has not allowed Google to control the volume so you have to use your remote which defeats a huge purpose of having the Chromecast. MUCH rather control the volume than have Dolby surround sound on my soundbar anyways👎

Look I get the ads. I also know I can pay for ad free and if you start offering that with Disney+ I probably will get that. What I dont understand is the need for a 90 sec ad 60 sec of show and then another 90 sec ad?? I mean come on lets get a better algorithm the technology is out there. I will tell you also every ad I see I refuse to buy their product. I have and will continue to switch products simply because I am tired of being bombarded with bs commercials.

I used to love this app but over the last month or so most of the time it either won't load at all or when it does the movie/show you're trying to watch doesn't load and times out. I've restarted my phone, closed and restarted the app, all to no avail.

I think the asthetics could be a bit better and make a drop-down for films with English dubs and subs, place a skip button for intros, make sure next is only within the series you're watching and not some random show. Just a few things that would make Hulu a bit better in my opinion.

UI never keeps up with restarted shows. If you rewatch an episode it starts in the last two minutes of an episode each time. Requiring manual rewind each episode. Only service that has ads while being the same price as other services. Also the only app that wants you to interact with adds and find your add preference. The only acceptable add preference is none since the competitors charge the same price. So glad I am not the one paying for this membership. Garbage compared to competitors

Great app love the content that the app has. There is one issue that I despise is that I'm literally paying for ads. Ads are a way for a company to generate more income. Why should I pay a monthly fee to get ads. There are too many ads when I try watching my shows. I get an ad every 4-5 that are 90 seconds. If I accidentally fast forward I'm forced to watch an ad. Then when I go back to the point where it was fast forwarded, I'm required to watch the same 90 second ad. It's very frustrating.

Seriously about to completely cancel. The framing issue is out of control. Watch maybe 2 episodes of a show and the framing goes crazy. Makes it so you can only see one corner of the picture. This means I have to back out to the home screen and watch the commercials again. I already watch enough damn commercials, if this is some bs way to convince people to pay for the full version, you are dreaming. Going to cancel. FIX IT

I tried it free first. Just to see the movies are what I like. An so far this is all I have been looking at. Waking up to it n going to bed. Great movies plus when one goes off another one comes on. An I dont mind by the commercial breaks gives me time to go get a snack n come back in 80 sec. I love it. Thank kids for turning me on to them n cutting cable n just keep my internet. I love it

Everything works well, would like to be able to rewind/have more control over the commercials, it's hard to wrap your brain around a political campaign ad that lasts five seconds and disappears before you have a chance to even observe.

I love Hulu, but hate the app. I'm constantly skipping forward and backwards on accident while watching a show because if you touch anywhere on the screen it scrolls. The swipe to scroll thing is a nice idea, but it doesn't have to be the entire screen. Just make it on the bottom by the progress bar. Every time I have to move my phone or accidently make the slightest touch it screws up the episode. It is SUPER annoying.

I used to enjoy the app... But now I'm unable to watch anything while I'm working due to the fact that it no longer allows you to use picture in picture mode. So basically when you get a message... Whatever you're watching needs to stop entirely while you reply then you have to watch the commercials all over again if you're too close to a period when one just happened. I used to watch hulu regularly... Now I might use the app once or twice a month. Fix the app, maybe you'll retain customers.

I'm seriously thinking about canceling my subscription!! I've had it SO long and I love the shows they provide but, the streaming is horrible. When watching a show (on my phone), it lags. If I go out and come back to it, it has to "think about it" and most times, not work!! 😡 So frustrating. Usually, I'm exiting long enough to answer a text. I end up restarting my phone and half the time THAT doesn't even work. PLEASE fix these issues so that I don't have to cancel.

I hate this app..much too difficult to find anything I want tk watch. I purchased the live TV with no ads. No surprise, I get tons of ads anyway because apparently it doesn't apply to certain things I watch. I get so many ads that I forget I paid extra to NOT have ads. On top of that, the interface is ridiculously difficult to navigate and makes no sense. I cant ever find anything. Cancelling after only one month. And what do you know? I cant find where the option is to cancel.

Love the app, but 2 thing's I wish it had. 1. That I could have window mode where I can do other stuff while listening. I would absolutely love that. 2. I would also love for more back seasons of shows, like my favorite Hollyoaks. I do not think you can go all the way back but it would be awesome to be able to see past episodes and not have them "expire". I do love the app and I love that it is not expensive either.

Constantly freezing, error codes, shows cut off, buffering more than 3 times per movie, many, many shows offered, only half will actually play, so many commercials, you don't get the full version of the episode, but the edited television version. But, they sure don't hesitate to get their money. No error codes or glitches when they take their payment from my bank.

I have used the Netflix application, on Android, in the past, but Hulu has allot more of my favorites to watch. If I had to order the same shows and movies that I watch, on Hulu, from a cable provider, then I'd end up paying around $150, or more, than I am right now, for just Hulu and high-speed internet. I used to be a die-hard Netflix fan, but now that I've discovered Hulu, I can't go back to Netflix. I love to download movies & shows to watch offline, using the download feature in-app.

Mobile App will not log in. I have it logged in on my two TVs with password written down so I know it's correct. The error message keeps saying the error isn't on my end, but it's not being fixed either. I only got it mostly for my phon while at work so What's the point of paying this if I can't use it on my phone at work on wifi?. Jus keeps sending same grey message that the error is not on my end. Three months I been not able to use my mobile hulu app. I'm about to cancel all 4 of my accounts

Ok just signed up for "live tv" plus add skip. The thing I don't get is the DVR. what's the point, I can find all the shows in back catalogs without dvr'n them. i can't skip adds on the DVR or the stream. Sure shows that where on the hulu app w/o live stream have no adds, just don't understand the point of the DVR.

All in all a decent platform with which to watch television although the ads tend to be a little on the excessive side. It would be nice to have a picture in picture type function like Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube.

I would say that the apps interface is very frustrating. It should be easy. Every interfaces goal should be to be as intuitive as possible. Theres is no queue or watch later kinda thing, the my stuff tab (on the tv app anyway) just isnt there, playback is bad, and the option for browsing is not tailored to ,y taste like Netflix's. Theres like two shows on hulu I watch a lot, which is the only reason whatsoever i still keep it.

I've been watching Hulu for years, and I enjoy the service and ease of use, so that I got their Ad free plan. However I find it hard to watch most of the shows I like on the platform because the system crashes everytime I click a video, sometimes it'll be generous enough to allow me to watch an episode of a show I like, but if I even click on an episode and it doesn't crash, automatically the next episode will always crash, forcing me to skip an episode if I want to continue.

It's a good app, but does 1 unexcusable thing: the user can advance (or "rewind") the video from touching anywhere on the screen while watching. This is problematic because grabbing one's phone can result in losing one's place in the video by accidental touch. Other similar apps don't have this issue because they require two taps to change position in the video.

I love hulu but I dont love the setup/functions of the app or desktop. my biggest issue is when I press play to continue watching a show, the episode it plays is wrong half the time. I also wish there was an option to go to different episodes while watching an episode like on netflix. when the episode is wrong, I have to close out of the episode, go to details, find the episode, and start it over but in netflix, I can just do it in the same screen. i just wish it was more user-friendly.

I like the app but I keep having problems. One is when it goes to the next episode sometimes there is no sound. Doesnt do that on any other streaming app so its definetly something on your end. Also if you go to reset a show it always makes the next episode start at the end. I even tried resetting the show but it didn't do anything. I love the shows probably the best line up out of any streaming app.

The who enter faces are absolutely terrible. They're so hard to navigate. Finding things are terrible much less fast forwarding absolutely terrible. Hate hate hate this app. Especially the apps on the TVs and on the fire stick. it never restarts on an episode where you finished. It always starts an episode before or in the wrong place. Terrible. Plus the interface the way that guy is it's just not very intuitive.

I'm just curious to know why after all this time you STILL DON'T have a restart button. why do you only have the option to resume a movie or show but not restart if you want to watch it from the beginning so you have to sit there and Rewind it all the way back to the beginning smh

The service is good, but boy does the app interface fall FAR behind YouTube TV. There are just so many things that make it difficult to use. To list a few... - live TV opens with "recent" channels filter everytime and you have to manually select the "all" channels to see the complete grid - can't define default channels to open up to. It has some algorithm to display specific channels that are supposed to match your profile, but boy is it terrible. - no idea how to get to my recordings - skippi

"Location Services" errors. This app won't even load on some of my devices. On chromebook and some android devices, all it does is ask for location services over and over, and then crashes. It has all location services, GPS is on, the app has been reinstalled, Hulu support (worthless as always) has been contacted...this app just plain doesn't work sometimes. I upgraded Hulu recently, I guess that was my mistake. I will not pay them again.

Horrible. It takes 55mins to watch a 30min show with 15 80second adverts. It takes 90mins to watch an hour show with 30 80second adverts. And if you make one mistake in fast forwarding or rewinding, even if it was a mistake, you are rewarded by an 80second add. Word of advice. Stay away and spend time with your family. Theres not an 80second ad wait for you to hear "I love you Daddy."

Hulu has alot of flaws like they'll say I watched episodes that I haven't watched before then when it auto plays it starts on the next episode on some random part, also some episodes, and seasons seem to get removed but if I wait a while and restart the app it comes back.

I had no issues before. In fact I used the app almost daily but the new interface is just annoying to use. I can't find new shows because they completely got rid of the simulcast. The new interface severely handicapped itself. It got rid of many options of searching through genres. They had a good thing going and they ruined it.

I've had notching but issues for 3 months. Both on my mobile devices and at home on the roku tv. All the time, "we're having trouble playing the content". Now the volume isn't working. Only on hulu. Netflix and other apps are running without any issues. $25 a month is too much to pay for a sub-par viewing experience.

I will update my review when things are fixed. I love the shows on Hulu. However, I have been having difficulty with the app even opening (on my LG G8 phone running Android 10), let alone playing anything. The black screen with HULU in the middle of it is all I get. Usually, once it loads, I can watch & cast with very few issues. Please fix!!

After nearly a year or more, Hulu recently moved the most popular season of a show and only made it available for live TV subscribers. Now I would have to pay $50 more to watch a season of a show that had previously been available under the basic subscription. It's a cheap move on their part and I'm seriously considering ending my subscription.

I have a subscription through Spotify premium. And there's a movie I wanted to watch. Oop! Sorry. You can't watch it because your "subscription" is the lowest level. And you need 25$+ in add-ons to get everything you want to watch. Wouldn't really have been worth it anyway seeing as the amount of ads with an actual subscription is more than YouTube without a subscription. (At least we can skip the ads on YouTube) would rather pay a flat rate for everything say 10-15 a month than 25$+ a month.

I can not restart any tv show, or movie, from the beginning, on my TV or app. This is absurd. The ONLY options available are deleting from my watch history, rewinding like a vhs tape, or sliding back to the beginning on the app then watch on TV. This is way too much to go through when a simple restart button can be added. There used to be one a few years back. Please, put it back.

I do not know what has been happening but the last two months, this app has been terrible. Freezing when I open, freezing when I am on to the next show, never loading to begin with... this was my favorite app, now im having to use Netflix and I hate it. Please fix whatever is going on?!?!

It is a great app, but I wish they would do more of it. Theres some original content, but it just doesn't happen all that often. Lot of times to start or finish a series you have to go to another streaming site since shows expire on here due to contracts an what not. Awesome service unless its the only streaming service you have. Then its pretty bad.

I loved Hulu until last month, when Live TV stopped working on my phone. I just downgraded from $60.99 to $11.99 monthly because I also couldn't reach the Help Dept. Only paying for what they can provide. I have up to date Samsung S10 and Tab 6. Getting the "Log in at home to use Live TV" message on both. I AM home. I updated Hulu after the problem started.

The UI that made the world cry. I'm not sure how they do it. But with each UI "update" they somehow remove the ability to find anything you wanted to watch and the way you would find things to watch. Their most recent stroke of brilliance was to remove the what's new tab and have no way of sorting by new either. Save your money.

What the heck? I pay $66 a month and I am blocked from Live TV.The app keeps saying open when you are home. I am at home!!!! I tried fixing the problem through the "help center" which keeps redirecting me. I can not even find a telephone number to call to try to resolve this issue and my email has not been answered. So basically this app sucks.

So I tried to sign up and start my free trial but everytime I try to enter my billing info it says that there was a problem with the connection. I turned off my phone and turned it back on, checked my wifi, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the same issue happened each and every time

I've been using Hulu for a few years now with minimal problems, but the last few weeks everything has been incredibly glitchy. Plus the picture quality has been hit or miss, especially when watching live programing.

The change to checking in every month to get Live Tv is RIDICULOUS!! Anyone living in a "dead zone" is now banned from Live Tv even if youve been a long time customer! You'd think with all the problems Disney is having (Disney owns hulu) they would try their darndest to keep customers but... For anyone who travels alot, or set up phones or tablets used by kids at college its worthless to get Live Tv bcuz of stupid check in. WHY SHOULD HULU CARE WHO OR WHERE ANYONE WATCHES AS LONG AS YOU PAY?

Love the selection available. Volume is very eratic going from really low on the actual show, then very loud for ads. Also, while watching it will go from one episode to the next before the episode is done (usually after the last ad)

The newest version of this add is horrible, the navigation of the app gets worse every time they make major changes. I can't find newly added/recent episodes anymore and thats how I would find new shows to pick up watching. And when you do find newly added/recent none of it is current, the list is short and is fludded with shows that have been on hulu and ended 2 or 3 years ago.

I HATE how you have changed the setup... small boxes, big boxes with the movie titles in them. It was supposed to be more convenient, easier. Now it's harder because with the big boxes you can only see one movie title at a time on your phone and two on a 55in tv. I'd really like to see it brought back to the original. It's just harder to find stuff now 🤔🤬 Having issues with app on tv and phone not keeping track of where leaving off on episodes never had this prob until these changes, pls fix

The app does not let you stream anymore I've been streaming for years and now I can't stream. it act like it's going to do it but then it just blinks right back out as soon as u try to play so I don't know maybe it's a bug on the app or something but it's not working and it has been! All my other apps stream just fine! Just not hulu! Please fix this ! I need to cast to my tv

Update. The Hulu programmers need to stop screwing around with things. Constant changes to make it have a Amazon feel. Or at least that is the impression it gives. And my last review. I really hate this app on this device. I will be watching something and it will just stop and TRY to buffer have to stop and close app and restart to have it start playing again This needs to be fixed, it is not the device it is the app. No problem with other similar apps. Does Hulu read these??????

Was one of my go to apps. Was 5 star before they messed with the lay out. That is what it unique. Wasn't just a copy of other apps. Since the update it isn't worth using. Not a good layout. Just a bad copy of Amazon style. Can't find anything now. If it's going to look just like Amazon I'll just watch Amazon.

Worst experience overall of any of the streaming platform apps. Constantly crashing and it always seems to happen right AFTER an ad break so it makes you spend an additional 80 seconds after you close the program you are watching and reopen it. It's also not very intuitive. Doesn't allow you to enable it to have the smaller window and use other apps, although it does have this feature on my iPad and the ios app does have less issues. For a paid streaming service that also has ads, I expect more.

Being forced to watch multiple ads because I accidently hit the end of the video progress bar is incredibly annoying. Automatically starting the next episode is even more annoying. Making it impossible to easily navigate back to the episode list so I can reopen the episode I was watching makes it even MORE annoying. Preventing me from skipping back to where I actually left off, AND forcing me to go through yet ANOTHER ad, makes me want to cancel my Hulu subscription and throw my phone.

I LOVED HULU for a long time, however; now its service is unacceptable. Haven't been able to even open it for weeks now. What's going on? This is why only gave 2 stars. Please fix because we look forward to being able to watch our favorite shows in the middle of a pandemic. Thanks for listening.

Hulu is garbage. The people who made it? Worse. They are money hungry. You have to pay to watch stuff, but guess what? YOU HAVE TO WATCH 300 SECONDS OF ADS IN ONE EPISODE. Now imagine that times 12. The average amount of epsodes in a season of anime. Thats 3600 SECONDS OF ADS. ITS INSANE. It has so many good animes too! Its a waste of money. Watch the stuff on netflix. Or pay the same amount on crunchyrole or funimation. And when you pay with those, you get 0 ads. Hulu is a waste of money.

After you cancel your Subscription your suppose to be able to watch movies and tv shows until it gets cancelled on the date you would have been charged. Not true. The app stopped working instantly. I get it!

Depending on what shows and movies you want to see depends on which streaming service to have. I went with Hulu because it had a more financial friendly option of like $6 a month WITH ads. However depending on the show depends on how many ads it seems and how long. I started Fear the Walking Dead and don't even want to continue watching it due to the amount of ads! It seem like every 7 min there is 1.5 min of commercial ads and it's the same nonsense over and over. Just saying.

Deleting the app as soon as I write this review. I've been waiting for updates and I have tried everything support has said, and no matter what I try this app can't even play a video. I can't even get to the first minute or even first second of a selection because it won't stop buffering. Only option is my laptop, and when I watch on there, the framing is always awful. There seems to be no solution to either issue, so I have finally given up.

I don't know what others are complaining about when it comes to this app... We've been a part of Hulu for a long time now and hardly ever have any issues with it!! And if we do, the problem is on our end, not theirs. Hulu is absolutely amazing and I love it! My daughter and I are constantly watching Horrible Histories!! Such a great show that we both love and enjoy, that is educational and fun! We sincerely hope it never goes away!!!

Doesn't play video after ads. Using a roku tv. When I use hulu once a pops up for the commerical portion of a show . Once the ad ends the video of the ad stays frozen on the screen and the audio of the show plays after about 5 minutes the app crashes. I sent in over 10 feedback messages from my tv so might as well write a bad review now. Waste of money .

Plz fix. I can no longer stream fluently on my phone which is how I watch most of the time. Every since this new update, the app won't load, or if it does it won't allow me to play or if it does it takes forever to play and if I need to rewind or fast forward it the video takes forever to load back up and then it will play from the beginning of the episode and not where I left off or attempted to rewind to or fast forward to. The last thing also happens on my tv with my roku. Plz plz plz fix.

If I could give a rating of zero I would. I haven't been able to get Live TV or movies to play since 8/8/2020. This is ridiculous but a payment is expected every billing cycle. I pay and I expected 100% service uninterrupted or a free month of service when over half of the month I can't stream. No worries HULU has lost one more customer with me. Netflix her I come and will stay loyal to a fault.

Have had Hulu since it first started. It is really good for watching TV shows. It doesn't have as many new movies as some of the other streaming services but it is getting better. You can add on HBO and other stations to get more shows. The nice part is you can drop the add ons anytime if you decide you don't want them anymore.

About one good movie to every ten. Netflix sucks the same. All these app channels need some competition to up the quality of shows. Too many forgiven, dubbed and old movies. Overload of B style horror that is ridiculous! If there were something better I'd cancel Hulu and run. Sadly there isn't much to choose from. Sundance is a tad better then Hulu and NF. But again, Eastman 20 minutes searching for a good.

They have to do better.. I cancel my subscription. I find that Netflix and Amazon is munch more convenient more user-friendly. You can't even change your payment through the television, or the name of users profile when they are no longer using the account. ( ex boyfriend.) You can't make any changes through your television. And it really should recognize the shows that you like. Even when I hit like it got rid of a lot of shows that I really really liked. Anyway. Not for me.

It's a good app I really like the shows but the way you can fast forward and reverse is difficult because I might have accidentally skipped forward and waste time going back and the ads on hulu they should just make it were you only have to watch at the end and beginning of the show because I've accidentally pressed right on the ad I already watched do I wasted more time just dealing with ads

The app works well BUT what's the point of paying extra for the NO AD service and recording to the DVR if you have to watch 5 minutes of commercials for every 10 minutes of the show/movies you record??? Not real happy with Hulu right now.

Honestly i can't understand why it doesn't let me pinch to fill in my screen like Netflix and Disney+ do. Having gigantic black bars all around my screen while watching a movie is so distracting and it looks bad. I will cancel my subscription and I suggest that you do too if this is not fixed because there is not point on watching movies here with giant black bars around the movie.

The app has been recently updated. Finding anything to watch is like pulling teeth. I got it for anime and they took away some categories for them. For you, popular, and a-z is all you get now. To much scrolling to find something you want to watch. I am thinking about canceling they are going backwards in app design.

Have loved Hulu+ for years. Recently l added Hulu live and I'm so disappointed! Many more shows are available to stream, but there are so many commercials- about a third of the streaming time! You can't skip them and if you back up, you have to watch the commercials all over again! I may try a different streaming service.

HULU APP HAS GONE DOWNHILL FAST! I just read 50 reviews, not skipping any reviews, huge % of subscribers agree that Hulu is flawed now. First, when the controversial commercials come on they are much louder than the content I was watching, very annoying. Second, the commercials hulu forces on us makes me feel I'm living in a militarized zone, very one-sided. It's seems since the new ceo took over, Hulu is in the CRAPPER. I put the Hulu app on hold for 8 weeks.

Got a premium subscription because there's a ton of anime available but, though the app technically "works" on my tablet, I'm unable to stream anything at all. Only way I can watch videos is with download feature. Even with download quality set to "high," the videos look awful. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, updated, restarted device, restarted internet connection, followed every step in trouble shooting. Videos won't stream. Just buffer. Newest Android version. Cancelling subscription.

Why does it have commercials when I pay a monthly fee? Not only that but most of them are in other languages! If it wasn't for the 2 or 3 shows I can't find anywhere else I would've ended it the day I got the subscription. Lots of shows and movies but it's got a lot of the same content as its competitors.
