It works fine but only while the screen is on. I have ensured all setting around battery usage were not the issue and I can't set the screen to stay on forever. Please fix. I found a way to use another app to keep the screen on and use splitscreen to keep the headtracker running. At least it works and I have to say, after getting the filtering worked out, it tracks much better than face tracking.

Works great with OpenTrack. It's laggier than VR and head movements are more jittery, but it's also free. Don't know why that other person is complaining about the instructions; they're simple and straightforward. The rest is self-explanatory and you can easily figure out what each setting does simply by adjusting it while the game is running and seeing what happens. It couldn't be easier to use.

10/10 the best gyro head tracker I've had. props to the dev for making this app ad free. I've tried making head trackers with ir leds but kept failing as if the brightness of my room changes, the camera won't track it. this is actually a game changer, i strap my phone onto a hat and never had any issues until now. y'all getting mad out here clearly don't understand how to use it.The tutorial could've been better though

These instructions are something awful hun. Please fix them. I mean. You worked hard on this software right? So you should want people to use it... You say to get an ipv4 address and to input it into the application. Which application? Where? You then say to switch to UDP over Network and to hit the hammer and input the port into the application. Which port? Into that application or this one? Do you mean the game? This is very unclear and deserves a better effort I think.

works great for me... though maybe needs an update to adjust a few things like sometimes it doesn't work if connected to the internet, only works when in a local hotspot like a phone without the data on for me and also a few bugs when it bugs out at random.. but all in all, once you tweak a few settings, works relatively smooth

Well it works better than I expected it to. I used it with X Plane 11 on PC. However, it is quite shaky when trying to hold the veiw in one place to press switches and stuff in the cockpit. Idk whether this is an issue with the app or my phones accelerometer. It could also be a problem with the way I mounted it to my head. That being said, it is free and I'm not ready to pay loads for TrackIR lol. Great work devs! (Wish I could put my phone landscape though)

A basic but functional app, with useful features. I had no trouble running the app on my smartphone - the difficult bit was in configuring OpenTrack - and Windows Firewall - on the PC. You have to add a path to the OpenTrack executable, in Windows Firewall. The Android head tracker app is simple to use: type the IP address and port (usually 4242) of the PC that you are running OpenTrack on, and click the Start button on the PC OpenTrack, then the Start button on the phone's Head Tracker app.

This app is very bad. It doesn't actually use the gyroscope and gives a lot of noisy output which you need to filter out by sacrificing a lot of responsiveness (lag). Try instead FreePIE because works perfect with OpenTrack with very little noise and almost no latency. You can download it from internet because it's not on PlayStore, (there is an apk file inside the windows instalation of FreePIE just for Android. That apk and OpenTrack is all you need.)

Would benifit greatly from using gyroscopes when available. Rotations do not seem to be accurately tracked, which causes actual rotations along one axis to be sensed as multiple rotations. Some rotations not sensed at all. Great idea, need some finishing.

I dont really use it for opentrack but it is why i got it. I personally use it with matlab, and its very easy to read its udp data which is fantastic for my sanity. 4 stars because i wish it had more sensors to choose from and it usually stops after a few seconds when the screen is off the app looses focus
