Reviews From google play store

I really value The Guardian's independent and fearless news reporting and would give it 5 stars for that. However, the embedded content (Twitter, Youtube, etc) is always "unavailable" and that is extremely irritating. I have searched the settings to try to figure out how to fix this, but no dice. If you can help me sort this out, I would love to give the app a 5 star rating.

Good journalism, Horrible application. I created a profile. I signed in and marked several articles "Saved for Later". I could view these articles until I signed out and signed back in. All the saved articles disappeared when I logged in again. Also when I sign in with the same profile on multiple devices, none of the settings synchronize and neither do the saved articles. Aside from the horrible bugs, I find the design and navigation of the app very poor.

Great read that's not rubbish news- Regular updates, live updates, changing the lead story board, interesting range of story, sports great for football but cricket needs a push, more music text maybe... But really good. My "go to" along with the BBC. I live in New Zealand

For a news app, I can't think of many others I'd go to. The reporting from The Guardian appears unbiased and factual. The notifications are usually relevant or breaking news stories that I'm interested in reading. Great app!

Like this app a lot keeps me up to date with all the latest news. Easy to use regular updates and nice easy categories and search function make it simple to find even older stories.

App works well but most of all its news that a lot of the big papers and TV stations won't report. Or, brush over at best. I'm going to subscribe so they can keep up the good work

Good app and news source. The notifications for breaking stories seem to be pretty carefully selected and are useful, it's great that the app doesn't go over the top giving notifications for every 3rd story

Accessible, clear and essential. This newspaper is a vital source of 'live' world events but also publishes vast quantities of opinion and analysis from journalists and others that maintain integrity, even humour, in our current conflicted world.

Almost a perfect app, but with serious issues which are never addressed. Membership/subscriber/supporter status is ambiguous, with no explanation anywhere of what these terms mean in their various contexts. Sometimes signed out with no warning. Sometimes comments, sometimes not. And only the most recent dozen or so headlines? Why this restriction?? After which, search is like something from the '90s. Guardian - you could do so much better.

I love having the Guardian's latest stories at my fingertips! They are one of the few news publications who use real, unbiased reporting to present accurate facts, provide news from around the world and deliver timely information. The app works brilliantly and I have had no problems with it at all - I've been using it for a month now. The news story notifications aren't overwhelming in their frequency like other publication apps. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves The Guardian!
