I can't seem to connect to it and I followed the steps it says on my pc. Did I miss something? When I open this app it just says check your network and when I go to it's settings where it shows devices it just keeps scanning forever and doesn't pick up anything lol. Love the app on the pc though pretty good. Just wish I could use my cell to change tracks when i'm not close by.

Does as advertised - obviously still in development. Would love to recommend a feature to share a "token" with friends so they can push requests to "add to queue/play next" songs when we are all gathered around/in a social setting. And maybe with elevated privlages to just "add to queue/play next without requesting" for those trusted friends that play songs that slap :)

It's a little difficult to get Windows to let you through the firewall, but once working it's great. For those who are having trouble it blame windows firewall not the app. I love that album art (after a couple restarts) shows up on my mobile in the app and in the notification bar

Excellent remote app for GPMDP! It has good basic functionality, and I would love to see updates to support more features. It works well with my Pixel 3 XL, and can even be used while docked on my Pixel Stand. Thank you!

This is more or less just a proof of concept. Because gmusic doesn't have an API to speak of, this app has very little utility. Same goes for GPMDP itself unfortunately. No disrespect to the author - Google just needs to pull their heads out and open up an API so we can create awesome alternatives to their mediocre official players.

minimal control but it works. no uopates in almost three years yikes! very happy to finally have a remote for GPM but the developer is virtually unresponsive. id rather pay and get updates and support.

This works great! When it says "scanning", just go to your network properties on your desktop and find your IPv4 address or, generally, your IP address. Enter that into the "custom IP" option and it should work great!

So far can't find any way to enable this on my Dell laptop computer. I got it on my cell phone (but still learning it) -- don't see my laptop coming up in the GPMDP at all - so no way to enable it ??? Without a desktop app it won't do what I need. Want to play from computer into the nice speakers I have here.

Works good as a remote control for desktop app. Also for this to work you need to enable API playing on the desktop app and enter the IP address on the mobile app. Restart and that's it.

I can't seem to get this to work. I've activated both API's, disabled the firewall, manually put in the IP. What am I missing? I didn't want to put less stars because someone is putting their free time into this and I just want some assistance.
