Google Play Reviews

  1. Chris Simmons-avatar

This is a really good app and I've used this for many years but the Subreddit filter won't let me remove preset items, they come back after restarting the app. I don't like it that someone else decides what I can see.

  2. Alan Frazier-avatar

gallery for reddit app This is almost great. It could be perfect, but, for some reason, it will not stay logged into my Reddit account, so it displays the regular front page and categories when loaded.

  3. Blake Dickey-avatar

The sorting feature of the app no longer works. If the sorting preference is changed. It will default and stay as hot

  4. Keith Maynard-avatar

A great app however it seems imgur has updated their api and as such the app is not reading galleries from imgur. Could the author kindly update the app to fix this issue. Other than the aforementioned issue, everything else is fine.

  5. NeoHiPPy1980-avatar

Best Reddit gallery app on the Play store (but it crashes on image saves)! I love this app (and have used it for years), but recent updates cause it to crash, when saving images. Is this only happening to me? With a little instruction, I'd be more than happy to pull and submit logs. Despite this glitch, I *STILL* love this app! Five stars if this gets fixed.

  6. Robert English-avatar

Latest update has introduced a large number of bugs. When on a YouTube preview, you cannot access any of the menus or even see what sub you're on. Going to a specific sub, then front-page, and scrolling down loads the specific sub when you tap on an image instead of the one you expected, you cannot long press to pull up a grey bar behind the post title, and still no Imgur gallery support.

  7. Chris Jones-avatar

Thank you sooo much for updates recently! Gallery for Reddit is my favourite and most used app on Android. It's consistently has the highest screen time out of any app I use. You have my eternal gratitude! I thought I'd give feedback - I'd love to see "hide" shortcut on the footer buttons + swipe up/down. Another awesome thing would be a larger cache option. I frequent various subs and the cache is often thrown out; images reload. Those two things would be awesome.

  8. Miss Linny Poo-avatar

The app crashes when you try to save an image. I sent an email to let them know & got a less than pleasant response. The update has kept on being moved to internal storage when I want it on my SD card instead.

  9. Andy T-avatar

Recent update turns music volume down each time you go into a new post, this is extremely annoying and will stop me from continuing to use this app. Was good until then.

  10. Ben Sacheri-avatar

Fast and reliable for browsing images. Definitely worth a try.

  11. Trevor Maskery-avatar

Having issues with volume controls. Every time I swipe it lowers my volume.

  12. Steve Val-avatar

Lowering my rating because you can no longer sort by new or by anything other then top

  13. caleb sullivan-avatar

Everytime I switch to an image it turns the volume of any music I'm listening to in the background down.

  14. Austin Corley-avatar

Love it, just wish I could pay for ads to be removed with my Google play balance.. if I could I would

  15. Haio De coster-avatar

No saved post limit in app, I can only vieuw x amount of posts, when I save a new post I lose the oldest I could view

  16. Patrick A-avatar

Pretty good but please fix the imgur albums so I can give 5 stars.

  17. Simon Llewellyn-avatar

Sorting and default sorting stuck on 'hot'

  18. Ahmed IBRAHIM-avatar

Very good app but with a major BUG :( in showing thumbnails :( if the reddit post has a comment the app fails to show the thumbnail of the post. It shows only the default broken thumbnail icon.

  19. Adam Klar-avatar

If I search for "gallery for Reddit" this app doesn't show up... If I search for "gallery for Reddit app" it shows up... What kind of sorcery is this?

  20. Kha Nguyen-avatar

I would like to give 5*, but there's a bug in the app: from home, open an image (for instance it's from /r/comics), then click menu and choose "open /r/comics", the weird list opened instead of the comic one. I saw this bug for awhile. Please fix it ASAP. Thanks.

  21. Mitchell Rowe-avatar

Great viewing app with 2 problems, the first is that the comments, upvote & diwnvote etc buttons are white, which means they are often invisible on many posts. The second is that sometimes it doesn't load enough posts causing you to run out of images really fast. if these were fixed 5 stars for sure.

  22. Amir N-avatar

Very functional. but I think you should add the ability to view user's pics too. and the ad banner is annoying...

  23. Sacha Indian-avatar

Everything Is Gud except one thing. Like please add an option for to by default load full resolution HD Images like i hate to go deep zoom mode every time for full quality original image loading.

  24. victory akeh-avatar

This app is very reliable. It gives you exactly what you are looking for in the shortest possible time.

  25. Brian B-avatar

5star best reddit content downloader app there is as far as am concerned.

  26. Luke Appel-avatar

The best Reddit image viewer by far. I paid for the ad free version. If you you mix this app with Joey, you have Reddit on Android covered.

  27. maalik peters-avatar

This app is great, i just wish that it was possible to download imaged in bulk other rlthat that this is a 10/10.

  28. Mark Taylor-avatar

Best way i have found to browse just pics on Reddit! No ads! Love it!

Tried them all, for me this is the fastest and best featured Reddit Image viewer.

  30. JOE B.-avatar

It's alright just a bunch of pictures of a bunch of different places, people, and things

  31. Ryan McMaster-avatar

Always come back to this app to browse Reddit images. Thank you for keeping the app up to date when ever there is a system update.

  32. Leondro Brady-avatar

Subreddits are back, but gifs still don't work

  33. d schlatter-avatar

only thing that would make it better would be letting us download pictures to specified folder

perfect app for reddit picture groups. fast and stable.

constant banner ad is new for me = UNINSTALL

  36. Leo-avatar

I like it but how do I remove the long list of subreddits so I can only have like 10 or 15 that I normally use?

  37. Mark Dunham-avatar

I use this app all the time. All the time.

  40. Rob Hutchinson-avatar

App now crashes whenever you click to download a video or picture. - and videos dont completely fill the screen in landscape mode. Definitely not as good as it used to be.

  41. David B-avatar

Lots of old bugs are fixed, and the latest updates made the app even faster and added more useful features.

  42. Grant Gillespie-avatar

    Grant Gillespie

    2020-01-20T07:55:38.327Z

Latest update broke video/gif playback. This suddenly became almost unusable.

  43. Warren Gibbs-avatar

If anything this app is too feature rich than what I need - a clean and simple reddit image viewer. Apart from some loading image/gif errors (which may not be the app's fault) my only problem is it's very hard to view images after zooming in - the whole image quickly shoots up or down even if I only slightly scroll in that direction. Fix that and you get my 5. Edit: I just re-read my review and I don't know when but the scrolling issue has been fixed, potentially years ago lol. 5 stars!

  44. Ready Dude-avatar

My favorite Reddit image viewer. It still has an issue displaying imgur albums. I hope this gets fixed.

  45. Bob Notagoon-avatar

Was working fine until the last update, note the sort doesn't work. "Top all time" shows nothing, and whatever I change it to it defaults back to Hot whenever I change categories.

  46. Joe E-avatar

If not for the share/save/etc buttons being placed where the ads appear right when a user is likely to try to use them, thus generating unintentional ad clicks, it would be a really great app. But that infuriating and dishonest way of generating click revenue effectively counters the usefulness of the app.

  47. A Google user-avatar

I'm not able to vote. Keep getting error that says "failed to vote comment" and when I vote in the app it doesn't transfer over to the site.

  48. Simon Goldie-avatar

Simple gallery, been using it for ages now

  49. L-avatar

    Needs updating

  50. Dakota N-avatar

Great app despite the occasional crash. Easily the best gallery experience for Reddit. The developer is responsive to questions and concerns through email.

  51. Jesus Figueroa-avatar

This is a legit unofficial reddit app. The only problem I've seen is that when you are in r/all and come across a subreddit you want to open like r/gifs, via the options button, it opens back up to r/all and not the desired subreddit r/gifs. This goes for any subreddit. Other than this minor bug this is a pretty decent app I would recommend.

  52. Sean McCathern-avatar

This is my favorite app for viewing pictures from Reddit in a slideshow form. I can't find anything else that does this nearly as well. If I had a complain, it would be that sometimes albums don't load. But you can click through to the website and look at them. I haven't found another app that works better, though, so this is a minor complaint.

  53. Fabian Ruoff-avatar

Love it. The only problem I have, is that (at least on my frontpage with sorting for "new") there seems to be a limit to how many pages the app can load. If this is fixed, I would give a five star rating.

  54. Mark Crawford-avatar

Love this app, no other does the same job as well. Pretty big bug though: lately sometimes while scrolling through posts, my phone will sometimes completely crash and suddenly reboot. Galaxy S8, Android 8.0.0

  55. Neil Hallowell-avatar

The app is awesome when it is working. Now it doesn't load pics right and always force closes when trying to share pics or load galleries. Please fix I'm on this app constantly! Lol galaxy s7 edge and galaxy s9+

  56. Roy Keene-avatar

Crashes when trying to share images. Unable to save subreddits that include the plus sign to favorites. Has no local memory of what images have been seen (compared to 99reddits).

  57. Jonathan Davis-avatar

It was working great a month ago. Now it crashes frequently.

  58. A Google user-avatar

Same as below.. Great app but opening a subreddit while viewing a pic just sends you back to r/all instead of the subreddit you're viewing.

  61. Adam-avatar

I'm not sure why you need access to my photos and media on my phone in order to let me log on with my Reddit account. I'll use BaconReader instead...

  62. Atanas Stoev-avatar

Doesn't load reddits since Monday. Great app.

  63. A Google user-avatar

Loved this. A few updates ago it stopped working on my tablet. Get it to work again and I would gladly give it 5 stars

  64. Zachary Knight-avatar

Huge fan of this app, I think it's the best gallery tile reddit app on the Play Store. Would it be possible to add support for virtual subreddits such as /r/random?

Since the server went down yesterday my comments will not load (circle just spins) I have to go to the top right menu and open "in browser" for them to work

  72. Brock Camper-avatar

The only problem is it doesn't pick up where you left off. update just got a new phone lg v20 and its not compatible for some odd reason.

  73. Bruno Lemos-avatar

Like many people mentioned, it was excellent, but currently lots of connection issues, images wont load anymore .. Please fix issues. Thanks

  74. Will Carter-avatar

Best reddit pic viewing app I've used but lots of images unable to load since last update.

  75. Chuck Coffin-avatar

Excelent app however, for the last couple of days it doesn't load galleries. They are there, as they can be accessed through the browser.

  81. slybilly a-avatar

Great app but since that last couple of updates galleries won't load at all

  82. john park-avatar

Love the app. Got a pixel xo however, and now when I boot the app it just has a permanent loading wheel and I can't use the app now. A bug fix for the pixel would be appreciated.

  83. Kishore Nare-avatar

This is the best reddit app for pictures but there are a couple of things you can add 1. After opening a subreddit from r/all from a picture, the back button should take us to r/all to the same picture but it instead asks whether we want to exit the app 2. If we browsed through multiple subreddits the back button should take us to those (app should remember the history for that session)

  84. vibin thomas-avatar

    This is so great

  85. Julian C-avatar

Another commenter complained about the cached images this app leaves. I actually like this feature. It allows me to browse later and delete at my own choosing

  86. George-avatar

I love this app and it's very useful, but I wish the background image texture was better or even solid color (would be great if we could choose). Also, I wish image sliding animation was better too. Now it has this 3D like transition, would prefer simpler transition or the way Android does it (slide out an image and the new image moves in from the background).

  87. A Google user-avatar

I used to be able to go to r/all and keep looking for as long as I want. Now it stops loading new images after a few minutes. I have to go back to the top to refresh and load more images. I tried clearing the cache. I even uninstalled and signed back in. It still does it. How can I get it to work like it used to?

This app was saving large portions of the files viewed in each session, and not removing them upon closure. I did just update, so this might be fixed, but it had taken 3.5 Gb, yes that's right folks 3.5 gigabytes, of device storage for image files. Lazy development to allow a critical bug like that to actually occur. I'm keeping one star because my phone running out of storage drove me crazy for months until I figured out what it was.

  89. Luka Badovinac-avatar

Well built and fast app for surfing pictures from Reddit.

  90. David Morotxo-avatar

  93. Rex Lin-avatar

paid to remove ads, ads still there

  94. Sean O'Dell-avatar

Minus one star for not being able to zoom into animated gifs, and one for the terrible favorites implementation, but it's otherwise very good at browsing images on Reddit. Don't see why the main menu lists every possible subreddit, though.

  95. 2lmes-avatar

cache gfycat cache youtube cache any media please

  96. Bud G-avatar

1 flaw. But is is game changing enough for 1 star rating. If fixed would give 5 AND get paid version. Flaw is that it Doesn't keep subreddits I add to list on left side and cannot remove subs from it either. Moving pic around when zoomed is quirky at best as it always wants to go all the way to one side or the other. But can somewhat live with that quirk. But the no save/remove part just makes no sense.
