    What is the point of the app if you can only watch clips? I downloaded it just to watch season 9 of AHS, since for some reason Netflix has 1-8, but not 9. I already pay for Netflix & Prime & don't want to pay $13+ to watch it in Google, Prime or Vudu. Movies won't play either. I have several TV/movie apps & this is by far the worse. Even CBS is better even though you have to pay monthly for that 1 in addition to your cable or satellite service.

    This is an OK at best app. I have to clear my cache before starting a movie and again halfway through as it says the movie is unavailable at this time. Takes 5 minutes to play 80 seconds of ads because of poor loading. Good movies you can't find anywhere else is the only upside. Samsung Note 10 + on verizon unlimited and I dont have these problems on other streaming aps.

    Can't watch anything other than clips, no access or visibility of actual episodes for TV series? Who wants clips...and I'm signed in with my cox account... so, there's no point to have the app. I don't have this issue with my ESPN+, HBO, Showtime or Starz apps....

    This app is so weak. I would tap a specific episode and it'll play another episode. Even weirder, it'll play another episode after an ad is done. And it keeps logging out of my tv provider. This app progressively gets worse and worse.

    Got the log in to work, which overcomes the uverse tendency to not have on demand. However, if you stop a show and close your phone, you lose connection and end up fighting to start the show up again. First world problem, I know.

    This is one of the worse apps I've ever seen. You can't watch ANYTHING on the actual app. You have to go out and buy the shows. And this is after paying for a monthly satellite service is supposed to cover this. Absolutely horrible. Download it only if you want to make you day full of disappointment.

    This app used to actually function with every season of every show (or most shows). Now its only for clips and you can't actually watch anything. Nobody wants clips they want the episode. Fx needs to get that into their heads.

    This app has nothing but clips. You might get a full episode if you are lucky. The latested episodes only have shelf life of two months before they are vaulted/pay walled for a year. So let say you put a series on the back burner in your DVR for a couple month, and then decide to binge watch said series, better hope your DVR recorded episode.

Put the movies back on here! On top of what I pay a month in the services plus movie services via Netflix Hulu etc. You can't possibly expect people to pay extra for movies they can watch on TV just to watch it portable off your phone

    Almost all of the movies are marked "fxm" and I can't watch them. I have Dish tv. Many, if not all, of these movies have been shown on my TV with the Dish subscription that I have, so I don't understand why I can't watch them with the FX app. Very disappointing & a waste of time.

    $250 a month cable bill doesn't buy me this? I get FOX and ABC on my antenna. I have a $250 a month cable bill that costs me more than most car payments. Somehow $250 a month isn't bleeding enough for FX and their owners Disney, even after they told me "Congratulations! You have successfully signed in.". We're not even talking about the sports network fee that I get fraudulently charged for.

    I went in circles logging in between this app, Hulu, & disney+(really?) just to be able to watch season 2 of Mayans. I even signed in with my cable provider. Just to not be able to watch it on any of these platforms that Im paying for. Ridiculous.

    Most recent update removed the show I was watching without warning. All it has now is *most recent clips" and no episodes. Now I can't finish the season. It's the only reason I have the app in the first place.

    You cannot stream American horror story or mayans on this app. I have directv as my service provider yet I am not able to stream either after entering in my credentials. I contacted customer support and was told that American horror story and Mayans is not streaming on this platform currently. Yet in the description of the app it says that American horror story is able to be streamed. Come on FX.

    I have FX on my DirectTV subscription, decided to try the FX now app for a second time after deleting it. Downloaded it, signed into my provider account and watched a few shows. There was an update not to long ago, tried to watch a movie and it asked me to sign back into my service provider and it keeps telling me there is an error. Nothing has changed on my end, password and email still the same. Not worth the headache and waste of space on my phone

    Everything's behind a pay wall, or you have to subscribe to cable service. The only reason I'd use this app is NOT to pay. Why can't one episode weekly of TV shows be available, with maybe a few movies thrown in? Anyway, subscription services are getting rediculouse.

    It's sad to have to pay a fee to a provider to watch a very poor line up of programs. I'll stick to my Roku and Hulu for all my TV watching. Roku is free and Hulu is $6.41 a month with great shows. Sorry FX you'll have to get a lot better. Thanks for your advice. Sorry you have a long way to go to get me back.

    This app has easily the longest load time of any app on my device—sometimes up to 20 seconds. I feel like this is a #firstworldproblem, but when other apps load so much faster, FX clearly has some problems under the hood they haven't resolved. I actually think the app update since the Disney takeover is aesthetically pleasing, but now there's less content than there used to be. I'm uninstalling this until I need it again.

    Picture HBO charging extra for movies or series. So why is it ok for you guys to? Everything seems to be locked. Wouldn't pay for it if it wasnt already with the cable package. Also way too many bugs to fix. Great movies just wished I didnt have to be in my livingroom 100% to watch.

    Updated to 3 stars after a decent support interaction. Still no joy on content side. I used app for movies. As of this review, only 3 out of 110 movies in current catalog are available to watch w/o FXM subscription. I've uninstalled app from my tablet and phone. Only keeping on Fire TV devices because they are shared with family members.

    Your app SUCKS! It always changes layouts. MY LIST does NOT keep any or most of the movies I add! If I'm watching a movie and I pause it, when I come back to it, either the movie is gone from my list, or I have to start watching all over because the "pause" didn't stay!

    Not worth the time. Doesn't let you watch all past episodes. If I wanted to watch a random awful selection of things that have already aired, I'd use on demand. I really don't get the point. Also you still have to watch commercials.

    It makes me log in every time i finish watching an episode of anything. And the actual app for your tv/ xbox/ whatever doesn't even let you pick the episodes you want to watch like the Simpson's. I clicked on the more episodes option, and the screen went grey and stayed there. Left for 25 minutes and came back to the same screen. Whoever decided to update both apps is about 5 cents short of a dollar. No need to contact support about this. Will no longer use it. Thank you for your time.

    Im extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the app, the website especially, and FX+. It over promises to their consumers and it's frustrating. The app is supposed to release the episodes for AHS at 12:01 am Wednesdays and it fails to do so every.single.week. There's no use in speaking to tech support because they'll tell you to restart your device and then end the chat. I just want to pay for a service that actually DELIVERS, it's a waste of money at this point. You're better off just recording episodes on your DVR.

    Full episodes were available on the app a couple weeks ago. Now when I open any series page, there are no episodes available at all, only clips. I've gone through everything on their support page and nothing has worked. It's not an issue with my phone, account, it settings. There is a obviously a problem with the app, especially given all the other similar complaints in recent reviews here.

    The FX+ app is a Beta version but they don't have any problem taking down your CC info. You have to log in to your cable provider, then log into the app, and from there everything is buggy and slow. I am literally unable to cancel my membership right now because nothing happens when I click the link. I initiated a live chat session, and the program crashed.

    The design for this app is awful, I constantly have to sign in and verify my cable provider. If your using your computer at home it works fine but for an on-the-go quick episode this app is too much of a hassle. Customer support couldn't help me resolve the issues. I would rather pay a higher monthly subscription fee if they would deduct the network provider requirement.

    The worst streaming app I have ever used. It will randomly stop while viewing and take you back to the menu and won't always take you back to the right spot when you resume it. Issues with fast forward, rewind, and pause. Don't waste your time, the frustration isn't worth it. Issues with trying to download the app on Xbox. Their troubleshooting articles have not helped with any of the problems.

    I logged in with my cable info, and they kept requesting my location data. Most of the content has been removed. I can no longer watch Legion, Atlanta, or any of the seasons of Archer other than season 5. There's no reason to use this anymore. It's not worth the trouble. Edit: AND THE CONSTANT CRASHING! This app has a death wish with the amount of times it crashes. Even when it had worthwhile content, it was extremely aggravating dealing with the habitually crashes.

    This app is complete garbage. I logged in through the cable provider but the only way I could watch anything is if it was live (which didn't even load) or I had to buy FX+. Are you kidding me?! On top of that the app itself was constantly crashing and saying the servers were down, yet on PS Vue it worked fine (I also decided to watch the show during the free trial on there instead). Please don't tell me to look into the Troubleshooting section because I already did and that doesn't matter. I force closed, cleared the cache and the data, and I restarted my phone but nothing worked. Everyone wonders why people prefer Netflix over cable. Guess I'll just watch the show on Netflix in a year.

    Really like FX and some of its shows, this app has had a lot of change since its first release. The app works great, but the one thing I don't understand and why I give it 2 stars is because of its interactive ads. Why do I need to interact with a ad?? just show the dang ad and move on, this is most annoying when trying to play a season with it stopping after every episode so that I interact with a ad. Please remove the interactive ads!

It would only give me an error message saying I had to sign in to my service provider, but doesn't give me any place to do so. So now it's entirely unusable other than to browse through all the things I can't watch

    Was working fine until I got the basic Disney+ app. FXNow no longer works. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall but it won't even install now. It appears you cant have both Disney products installed on your device.

    Downloaded app. Attempted to sign in with my satellite provider, Direct TV. Received an error message saying "You'll now manage your service with an AT&T Access ID. Click here to finish setting up your new Access ID, then come back and log in with that ID and Password." Clicked link and was sent to some random AT&T page that refused to load. Waited on it for 20 minutes. Started over. Same result. Yes, our internet connection is working. Yes, I restarted my phone and re-installed the app. No, the troubleshooting page had no useful information. Uninstalled app.

    AWFUL! No support or even the slightest help via email or online. Couldn't get the app to load or even the upgrade for FX+. Everytime I sign on I am greeted with "upgrade now" and "processing your credentials" that seems to load for very long periods of time. I have no issues with Hulu, Netflix, Shudder, ABC, NBC, CNN, Fox etc.... Your app needs a major improvement! And don't sell lies when enticing people to "upgrade" AD free is AD FREE. "Limited Ads" is not AD FREE! And "traditionally before TV" means before the AIR DATE, heck even a minute before air date would be before TV. HOWEVER, that is not even happening!!!!

    was on preview mode(unpaid) you get about an hour, but the ads burn up the time. Being on pause, also burns up the time. good content but idk, 4 ads in a row is a bit of junk for a first time experiance. 7 ads total, you dont get 1 hour preview with that. It would be inconsequential if the ads were only 15 or 30 seconds. But they are often not.

    It used to be possible to watch the older, pre-HD Simpsons seasons in their original 4:3 aspect ratio in this app, and to enable the commentary track. Ever since the Simpsons World branding was removed from this app, however, both options seem to have been removed as well, so the only way to access either is via the Simpsons World website on a PC. Since watching The Simpsons is pretty much the only thing I use the FXNOW app for, this is just plain unacceptable.

    Tried the app because the website is garbage for playing videos and guess what? So is the app! Don't expect to be able to catch up on your favorite shows if you have an emergency that makes you miss an episode because FX hates their customers I guess. Glad I never bothered with FX+. Would have been a waste of money and I still would have spent 3 hours trying to finish the first half of one episode of American Horror Story.

    Signing up is a joke. When asked for a birth date, which is mandatory, you can't direct input your date. Must scroll through a calender, month by month, to get to your birth date. Who wants to scroll through over 500 months to get a date. If the first issue you find with an app is ad stupid and idiotic as this, what else are you going to find. Come on FX, get your app designer teams head out of there *#%!&@, and fix it!!!!!!

I tried using the trouble shooting help and it's worthless super vague doesn't explain anything and sounds like you have to download a second app to use this one, ridiculously stupid.

    There's only clips available even though I'm signed in with my cable provider. I wish FX would just make their content available on a better streaming service than trying to gain money by having people pay TWICE to watch their content. I am not paying for cable and an app. It's ridiculous that they want to keep their "newer" content on the app. Take a lesson from HBO's app and have all of your content available instead of being too cheap to stream everything "older".

    This app has given me nothing but problems since I first started trying to use it. Each week, for American Horror Story, I must uninstall and redownload the app just for it to grant me access to the series. This week it told me that the parental controls would not let me watch and to contact my TV provider. After logging in to my TV provider and checking that all of my parental controls were disabled, it is still saying that I can't watch due to parental controls. I am a 30 year old woman who pays for her cable every month, who does not have any parental controls set for her TV. Yet, this app seems to think differently. This has been a horrible experience and it is a laughable concept every time they ask if I want FX Plus.

    I have just about every TV/video app that there is and this is the ONLY one that I have constant issues with. It's forever frozen or won't cast. It literally freezes my entire phone (brand new Note 9). And it's also the only app that makes me sign into my provider every time I use it, even when I'm at home. It's complete trash and the Simpsons is the only reason I ever mess with it.

    I'm having the same problem as others have been reporting. My provider is Spectrum, and I have parental controls turned off. I have confirmed this with Spectrum support as well. However, almost all content is showing as restricted due to my parental control settings with my provider. I have sent two support tickets as this has been happening for months. The response from FXNOW support has been "We're aware of the problem and are working on it." So how long does it take to solve this issue??

    Every time I try to watch a show the day after it plays live on TV, the app tells me I can't because I have limited cable rights or something. Then when I try to sign in to my provider, that section doesn't appear like it should. I pay $164 a month for cable, I'm not planning on upgrading to the + version. The fact this app crashes literally every week is unacceptable!!

    It used to be okay when I first used it, now I can't even watch anything without the stupid "app unavailable" popup. I also see a lot of people have had terrible expieriences with this app. If you're going to make a streaming service, treat it as such and try to update often and not once every like 2 months. Not to mention that poor excuse of a troubleshooting page, nothing there even tries to address the problems people are having. Would not recommend downloading, stick with Netflix, Hulu, ect.

    keeps automatically signing me in with the wrong TV provider account, no matter what I do. I guess that's better than Chrome for Windows and Chrome for Android, where the fx site on both doesn't even allow you to ATTEMPT to sign in. so happy I pay hundreds of dollars a month to not be about to watch the content I pay for. update: you also can't even attempt to sign in through Firefox on Android. no, not even on desktop mode.

    I love FX shows, but the video quality is so poor, I couldn't stand watching my shows on it. Even while using Wi-Fi!! Tried watching The Americans on it, but the picture was so blurred & pixelated that I couldn't even make out the sub-titles for the english translations when characters spoke Russian. It was just completely unwatchable. If/when they improve their streaming quality, I'll be happy to subscribe again.

    UPDATE: Installed on a new phone, and got it to work for a few hours, but when I re-opened the app later, suddenly my "TV SERVICE PROVIDER" was no longer signed in. When I go to do that, I get nothing but a blank screen. What a disappointing experience. This would be a great app if the service were reliable. As I write this, I'm watching a spinning circle on a black screen, which has been there for a while. Also, the app is very buggy when casting. I'm on a Galaxy Casting to a Chromecast Ultra

    This app is trash. Whenever I want to skip ahead (or go back) even if it's 15 seconds, I am forced to watch a 30 second commercial. Every. Single. Time. And it's usually the same commercial. AND sometimes it won't go to the time that you selected, instead it'll go to a different time in the show. And if you try and fix it, you guessed it, you're forced to watch another commercial. Absolute trash.

    I will never use this app or FX+ again. I had it for about a month and then cancelled it bc I didn't need it anymore, since I had gotten cable. So I cancelled and I was charged again two weeks later. So I contacted them for a refund and to let them know I cancelled. Essentially they said it was my fault bc I used my phone to access their website to cancel instead of another device (although I only used my phone to watch). THEN they refuse to refund my money. Absolutely terrible customer service and tbh the streaming service wasn't that great. If you want you save money and avoid terrible customer service, avoid this...

    i only use streaming services like hulu etc. this is the worst one ive ever seen. so slow. app crashed before i even logged in for the first time. i don't have a tv provider so it tells me to look for shows without "a lock icon," (which is fine i know i cant get free tv) but not a single episode of anything has a lock icon. not in the description, not on the video, not anywhere. you have to click each video and wait for it to say you can't watch it. not user friendly at all.

    This app ran fine on my phone. It had great movies but poor quality video, but I kept it. I tried downloading it on my tablet but I can't enter the app! It says I need to update but I dont see anywhere to update in Google play. This hasn't happened with any other of my apps. I cant watch anything until I update.

    No episodes of "It's Always Sunny!" That and "Archer" are the only shows worth watching. CC and Adult Swim have much better apps. TruTV isn't bad either, I use that to watch that new "Tacoma FD." I just don't understand how there's no episodes of, arguably, their best show. It's a major disappointment. And then they want you to pay a subscription. Why? I'm already paying for it through my cable subscription. Seems like a rip-off. I expect better from Fox. Their sports apps are pretty decent.
