c:geo is an open source, full-featured, always ready-to-go unofficial client for geocaching.com and offers basic support for other geocaching platforms (such as Opencaching). It does not require a web browser or exports - just install it and start right away.

Main features:
- View caches on a Live Map
- Use Google Maps or OpenStreetMaps
- Search for caches by various criteria
- Log your finds online or offline
- Store cache information on your device
- Create and manage waypoints
- Navigate using compass, map, or other apps
- Import/Export GPX files
- Full support for trackables
- Offline caching functions including offline maps

c:geo is a simple to use but powerful geocaching client with a lot of additional features. All you need to get started is an existing account on geocaching.com or another geocaching platform (like Opencaching).
Find caches using the live map or by using one of the many search functions.

Navigate to a cache or a waypoint of a cache with the built-in compass function, the map or hand over the coordinates to various external apps (e.g. Radar, Google Navigation, StreetView, Locus, Navigon, Sygic and many more).

Store cache information to your device directly from geocaching.com as well as via GPX file import to have it available whenever you want.
You can manage your stored caches in different lists and can sort and filter them according to your needs.
Stored caches together with offline map files or static maps can be used to find caches without an internet connection (e.g. when roaming).
Logs can be posted online or stored offline for later submission or exported via field notes.

Search and discover trackables, manage your trackable inventory and drop a Trackable while posting a cache log.

requires following permissions on your android device.

approximate location (network-based)
Allows the app to get your approximate location. This location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

control Near Field Communication
Allows the app to communicate with Near Field Communication (NFC) tags, cards, and readers.

modify or delete the contents of your SD card
Allows the app to write to the SD card.

I've used both the official geocaching app as well as c:geo for years and c:geo is definitely the more powerful of the two apps. The ability to do offline caching and to filter caches is amazing and the fact that you can log TBs in c:geo is just one more thing that puts it above the competition. There is a bit of a learning curve but the effort to learn the app is well worth it.

  2. guest-avatar

Much better than the official app. A little harder to use but it lets me find everything once you get used to it it's so much better than the other apps.

  3. guest-avatar

Great app!!! Use it a little more than the actual geocaching app. :)

  4. guest-avatar

Great App that I use all the time. I would like just one feature added...and that is it shows when a cache FTF is still up for grabs...(no logs) Similar to Cachly on iPhone. I have an Android. ( Samsung) 😊

  5. guest-avatar

I can log in to the app and see caches on the map now. Looking forward to finally being able to go hunting soon. Thank you for the response.

  6. guest-avatar

better then the Original app. I still search with a handheld for accuracy but use this app on every trip for cache info and offline logs. wish there was an option to mass upload offline logs as all of my logging is done offline and one by one submitted when I get internet.

Noy user friendly. The UI needs a rework to be more user friendly. The help page is endless confusing text. A clean interface guiding through the proccess to set up the app ia needed

  8. guest-avatar

I have been using c:geo for years on my android phones. There are so many useful features embedded in the menus. I particularly find the OSM map helpful when on the trails.

  9. guest-avatar

Great app but not allowing me to log visits despite being a premium member

  10. guest-avatar

This used to be the best geocache app. but now you cant even log into your account. I've tried for days and dont know why

  11. guest-avatar

Great app. Great with OS maps for off line use in countries with no mobile coverage.

  12. guest-avatar

  13. guest-avatar
