Breathe is an app designed to help you ‘watch your breath’. For centuries, deep breathing has been an integral part of meditation practices. It has more recently been adopted by everyone from world class athletes to the U.S. army. Studies have shown that with regular practice meditation can reduce anxiety, stress, and depression. Cognitive benefits include improved focus, memory and decision making. The phrase ‘watch your breath’ is common among meditation practitioners, and is actualised in Breathe: there are animations to signal your inhales and exhales, and you have tools to customize the length of each breath. Intentionally breathing in and out can be a powerful, calming, and joyful experience.

Breathe is offered free, with no ads and no hidden features.

Like the calm interface, the gentle oscillating graphic and particularly like the simple piano tones for breathing. I do wish it had a start button on entering the app. At the moment, as soon as the app opens, it starts. I would prefer to be able to initiate that myself. But still, my preferred app for general breathing exercises. Nice, thank you for the app development.

I like the simplicity of this app. It's only sliders to set your desired breathing patten. No classes, no woo, just breathing. I don't like the graph. It's very distracting. I appreciate that the dev is trying to do something different, but I would love an option to toggle the graph to the more standard circle that grows and shrinks with the pattern. As others have mentioned, a start/stop button would also be nice.

This looks like a good app. An additional feature worth adding in, is the option to keep the 4:7:8 ratio the same, but speed it up. Dr. Weil mentions online that starting out, some people wont be able to breathe that slowly, and will need to work up to it. So maybe you could add in a slider to allow users to speed it up?

The app is wonderful! I like the simplicity! What would be great is if I could make and store set cycles of breathing patterns. For patterns like pranayama, bhastrika, and Sudarshan Kriya. The tones are beautiful and peaceful which adds to the experience!

i liked the application. one thing i miss - i sometimes use it with sound before i go to sleep. It would be great to have a timer option so that after a while the sound stops and the phone goes in sleep mode too.

I love your apps. would be perfect if i could set up the period of breath by typing number instead of sliding it, one more, if I could set up the time end for the exercise, so I dont have to look the apps how long I have been doing my breathing exercise. keep up the good work and thank you for your awesome apps

Finally a simple breathing app that's simple to use and customizable. If it had a timer to set my session length it would make it 5 star.

Good app for timing breaths and simple to use. If one of the sound options was a slightly deeper toned chime pair then I would give it 5 stars. Also another suggestion it would be great if one could set the timer so you dont have to look at the screen. Otherwise a great little app...thanks

I like this app. One thing that would make it better is the ability to set a timer inside it. I don't look at the screen when I breathe with this app. I just listen to the sounds and close my eyes. If I want to breathe for, say, 8 minutes, it would be great if there was a timer I could set in the app that would notify me when I've completed the 8 minutes. Right now, I have to use a separate app for the timer, which is an inelegant solution.

I love how simple and straightforward it is. However, it'd be all the better if there was a was a way to set how long the session is ahead of time, and also a way to turn the app off in the app itself. Maybe they are there, but I'm not seeing them. Thanks, though, for your work.
