Good first impression, but waze won't work. Just updated to android 12 on Samsung s21, and looking for an "android auto for phone screens" replacement for my non android auto compatible car. Waze crashes every time, but Google maps works fine. Would prefer waze when possible ... thanks!

Looked at a lot of dashboards for my tablet to replace factory stuff. this one won. Worth it. But after using for a while I just use torque and maps. Let the replacement radio handle music. But if you need a single screen this is the app.

Used to be so good but now i can't get rid of the irritating speed limit beep. I know it's coming from this app and it's shut off in the settings. Pixel 4a5g.

I like the app. I have a Pixel 3 and my old car dock wasn't showing inbound and outbound calls in progress. Seems to be a bug with the Car Mode. This seems to be a good alternative. One thing though, I seem to be getting a force close message for the Pixel launcher when using this car dock. Not sure why.

Would love to love this app, but it fails at the one thing I want to keep from Android Auto, the use of Google maps. It says it should let me do that in the options, but it still defaults to the Automate maps, and when I click Google maps, it bring me to the default Google maps, not the car version like Android Auto. I wish there was a way to fix this, otherwise just gonna have to stick with Android Auto.

I have tried many "drive mode" type of applications and even after deleting this one, I have ultimately returned and will keep this one. It is a smooth and easy user interface and has all of the features I wanted on my car application. The only thing I wish could be added is the full Google maps be integrated into AutoMate but it is not a huge deal and still a fantastic app!

The app it's self is great with many awesome features, however there are some bugs that need addressing. When the charger "disconnects" or the power turns off the app doesn't seem to recognize it some times which causes the screen to remain on and the music to continue playing. The reverse is true for when the charger connects or power is present therefore settings like start or launch at charger connects do not function. Also, in the navigation the icon that represents the vehicle always moves to the middle of the screen when traveling at highway speeds. If that icon could stay in the bottom of the screen that would be most helpful

when i preferred an orientation, my phone got stuck in that orientation, even portrait only apps wouldn't switch. This is an excellent Android auto alternative for those of us who find android auto a bit boring. This is also a really cool app for cheap Android based aftermarket navigation systems. This app gets 4/5 stars for the little gripe I have but its awesome otherwise. I hope this app gets a US English option soon.
