We were established in 1986 at the Free University of Berlin of academic staff of the then Department of Banking and Finance and are today with our approximately 430 members the largest non-political student organization Berlin. And what we do? We offer economically interested students a platform where they can exchange with each other, educate and socialize for companies to gain practical experience within the financial industry and even while studying. The purpose of our association is to promote the shareholder culture in Germany. Wir, der Berliner Börsenkreis e.V. (BBK) sind ein gemeinnütziger, von Studenten geführter Verein. Wir wurden 1986 an der Freien Universität zu Berlin von wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeitern des damaligen Lehrstuhls für Bank- und Finanzwissenschaft gegründet und sind heute mit unseren rund 430 Mitgliedern die größte nichtpolitischen Studenteninitiative Berlins.
 
Und was machen wir?
Wir bieten wirtschaftlich interessierten Studierenden eine Plattform, in der sie sich gegenseitig austauschen, weiterbilden und Kontakte zu Unternehmen knüpfen können, um auch praktische Erfahrungen innerhalb der Finanzbranche zu sammeln und das noch während des Studiums.
Zweck unseres Vereins ist die Förderung der Aktienkultur in Deutschland. Das heißt, wir haben es uns zur Aufgabe gemacht, das Finanzwissen in der Bevölkerung und gerade bei jungen Leuten zu verbessern und hierdurch einen aktiven Beitrag zur Stärkung des Vertrauens und der Akzeptanz in die Kapitalmärkte zu leisten.
