Professional altimeter. Very accurate position and altitude detection. Through this Altimeter application you will be able to know the real height of where you are. Very accurate from a graphic point of view, it reproposes an analogue altimeter with digital measurement. It also stores the maximum height reached, very useful for hiking in the mountains. You can also view the quality and accuracy at any time. It uses both the GPS and the barometric sensor (for devices equipped) that can be activated by the options.
You can see the altitude in meters or feet and calibrate the altitude from the settings panel.
You will be able to record the altitude trend over time and view the relative graph, also monitoring the trend of the weather forecast based on the barometric pressure with the histogram graph.
With the function take photos, you can take personalized photographs (with the altitude and the place where you are), share them with facebook, whatsapp, email etc.
Possibility to send an SMS in case of need to a contact you have chosen with GPS coordinates and your position on the map.
Very interesting is also the use of the widget to be installed in the screen to keep the altitude under control.

Some features:
- Professional algorithm for precise altitude detection in real time
- Trend in altitude time for excursions and walks
- SMS Alert system in case of need by sending the position to a chosen contact
- Accurate and real-time weather forecasts
- Function takes photos with superimposed data
- Widget

Google Play Reviews

  1. guest-avatar

Good experience. It seems best to use when a power source is available, since it can become taxing on the battery if used for an extended period of time.

  2. guest-avatar

Mediocre app. Nice amalgamation of the data. The layout leaves much to be desired as some of the display is obscured by Google Ads plus the screen will not rotate, as with other apps on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.

  3. guest-avatar

Not accurate at all. Even manually setting does not work for elevation. It give temp based on internet declaring temp for area. I uninstalled.

  4. guest-avatar

    Guy Fleury KAYONDE

The app is some how smart but it would be better if it is able to calculate distances and areas

  5. guest-avatar

works like it said it would. Very cool and accurate altemeter. Very handy.

  6. guest-avatar

Once I calibrated this app at a known altitude, it worked just fine! With the new update, altitude is within 20 ft above msl. No calibration required!

  7. guest-avatar

this is useful and tbh for someone like me who just has to know the elevation while lying on my couch. also when out climbing ;)

  8. guest-avatar

Good clear screen and precise and free.Because it's an App and not the real thing ie. not a hands on Altimeter that can be set to QFE or QNH is the reason I could mot give more stars.

  9. guest-avatar

I use this apt for entertainment. I have also noted that given points do not have constant altitude recording(variations)sometimes variations are substantial.

  10. guest-avatar

    Dale LaRue Bailey

Ads are quietly displayed at bottom of screen. Discreet! ✔️ Great display. Easy to use. I plan on checking the accuracy soon.

  11. guest-avatar

App works well, but automatically loafs, always loaded using phone memory

  12. guest-avatar

It works quite well, I am happy thus far with the no-pay option

  13. guest-avatar

It dose what is says on the can and is quick and easy to read

  14. guest-avatar

    Mark Martindale

This app is pretty cool. I like the graphs that it produces. It's fun to use on road trips.

  15. guest-avatar

Good app. Easy to read numbers and is as accurate as I think it can be.

  16. guest-avatar

Doesn't do anything. Just sits there like it's a picture of an altimeter. Uninstalling.

  17. guest-avatar

Does not stay on. Goes off every few minutes

  18. guest-avatar

This app is consistantly accurate & I live in mountainous country. More accurate than my hand held GPS.

  19. guest-avatar

Good, accurate & easy to use.

  20. guest-avatar

App says 2m & 1023hpa. I am at 15m and 1021.7 hpa (calibrated barometer). So not very good. Won't let me set barometric pressure as a base line.

  21. guest-avatar

    Simple, great design and free!

  22. guest-avatar

Nice app , showing altitude very precisely.

  23. guest-avatar

    Werner Maertens

Very good app and high precision!

  24. guest-avatar

    Fairly accurate and updates quickly

  25. guest-avatar

Installed the app prior to a road trip to British Columbia. We found that it was very inaccurate . Driving through the mountain passes it was out by as much as 500 ft as compared to the road side altitude signs. Very disapointed.

  26. guest-avatar

Must say that the new update really impressed me! Good job!

  27. guest-avatar

    Roderick Sparnicht

My first experience with an altimeter. It proves to be accurate. It also includes functions that could be life saving. Thank you.

  28. guest-avatar

    Thomas Thorndike

It seems to be quite accurate any time I have used it. And I have traveled a lot in the past especially through mountainous areas

  29. guest-avatar

I like this one, it's more accurate than the others I've tried

  30. guest-avatar

    Trevor Jennings

My partner suffers from high sensitivity syndrome so we have to be careful about rapid changes in altitude when we're travelling. This app allows us to monitor the altitude as we're driving so that we can alter our route if the altitude changes rapidly. A life saver, literally.

  31. guest-avatar

just got app. may rate higher after using. After using it's ok not to accurate.

  32. guest-avatar

In the mountains of BC used it a lot very happy with app

  33. guest-avatar

    Samuel Crothers IV

    Great dependable altimeter.

  34. guest-avatar

A fun app when driving through the Alps. I like the camera feature that adds altitude to a picture taken through the app, but would like it to be one step, with the picture going immediately into the gallery, and the app ready to take another.

  35. guest-avatar

The elevations shown are different every time I open it. One time it's 14 feet, then 37 feet, then -140 feet, then back to 15 feet, all from the exact same location. Very unreliable and frustrating.

  36. guest-avatar

Calibration didn't seem to work. I went to a water body of known elevation, turned off the pressure sensor (increasingly overcast day), set the elevation, then walk UP a little slope. Elevation now reads lower than the water body.

  37. guest-avatar

Not really bad, but it's not nearly as accurate as an altimeter. Also, it doesn't not work in Korea or Japan. I consider this a handy gaget to have fun with, but don't rely on it with your may not be here long.

  38. guest-avatar

    Like options. Easy to understand.

  39. guest-avatar

    Very useful and fairly accurate

  40. guest-avatar

This altimeter assumes you are an altimeter savant. It tells you things in meters with no choice of options. It asks questions without a place to answer. It jumps right into sharing photos as if the mastery is already there, and I couldn't even get a reading. It launches without the participant. I couldn't spend time on it because it's for experts. It even told me that I could put in my altitude so I could calibrate... I do not know my altitude! That's why I wanted the app!

  41. guest-avatar

A work in progress, would have purchased pro but free version is so poorly functioning it calls in to question the credibility of the application.

  42. guest-avatar

Can't change temp to Celsius as keeps going back to Fahrenheit

  43. guest-avatar

Great app. Very useful. We should always have the challenge to do better.

  44. guest-avatar

Works as advertised. To those complaining of differing elevations at each viewing, of course the elevation changes, especially since it gets data from the satellites move, the preciseness changes. As far as coupling the app with barometric smart phones, unless you can adjust the altimeter reading on the device as the pressure changes, it'll always be inaccurate. That's why before every flight and during flight the pilot has to adjust his altimeter for changes in barometric pressure or the altimeter won't be accurate. I know this after being a military pilot for 18 years. This app can never be exact but then you won't find another one that is, either.

  45. guest-avatar

Not accurate, calibration lasts until close app and manually set the altimeter. Pretty lousy app, don't waste your time.

  46. guest-avatar

IT SUCKS!!! Don't even waste your time downloading it. The elevation where I live in Florida is 85 feet above sea level, but this app will show anywhere between 170 feet and 245 feet. And when you try to reset it, or calibrate it it when you tap on it it will drop to - 20 feet below sea level and anywhere in between until it gets up to 245 feet above sea level. Very unreliable, plus I keep getting a dropdown that tells me this app is using battery when I not even using it.

  47. guest-avatar

Altitude measures are mostly wrong, at least based on my S8 barometer sensor. More than that calibration menu does not allow a full correction of the altitude.

  48. guest-avatar

I do alot of hiking anywhere from 3000 ft to 14000 ft mountains. I used this app for all and it's very inconsistent and incorrect. I would not recommend using this app.

  49. guest-avatar

Very work involves different elevation locations and knowing the elevations would be intetesting

  50. guest-avatar

Just needed a simple altimeter for camping. So far its great.

  51. guest-avatar

Handy fast and good to know

  52. guest-avatar

Once it gives the altitude, it won't update unless you close it, and re-open the app, even when set to update every 60 sec. A no go when im driving in the mountains and want to see my elevations at regular intervals. The ads have no trouble popping up regularly, however.

  53. guest-avatar

A very nice presentation but the accuracy needs some serious work. We flew out of Tucson, AZ, and returned to Santa Ana, CA. When leaving at 2600 ft it was reasonably accurate but it showed we were several hundred feet below sea level when we landed.

  54. guest-avatar

Couldn't get it to work and the adds were deceptive. Example: Dangerous Storm in your area. Click on that and it tries to sell you a weather checking app. I'm a weather spotter. I don't need false info staring at me all the time.

  55. guest-avatar

Is not reliable. Over states elevations... at times exceeding the highest point in Florida, which would be okay if it weren't for the fact that I am in Tampa near the Bay.

  56. guest-avatar

Love the app and accuracy. Took a reading at golf Shores and came up with less than 1 foot. B...

  57. guest-avatar

There are ads, but most apps have ads and they don't bother me. I've tested this app against an actual physical altimeter and the app is very accurate. If you need an altimeter for business or play, this is a good choice.

  58. guest-avatar

Seems accurate. I have noticed that it more accurate when you have wifi or cell service.

  59. guest-avatar

Generally good. Occasionally the numbers don't seem right.

  60. guest-avatar

Just opened it and seems to work ok.

  61. guest-avatar

Generally I like it But it's the kind of feature that should have been Built-in . I think the developer did a good job it is pleasant in presentation and has enough settings to correct for my specific location so I think the developer did a good job!

  62. guest-avatar

l tested accuracy 10 times and got the same reading 10 times. very accurate. use map location setting and disable sensor pressure. you need this app. phone Moto z2 force using android 8. less accurate on sensor pressure by nearly 200 to 300 fewer feet at same location.

  63. guest-avatar

seems to work well. trying to figure out how to get the elevation numbers to stay on my home screen without having app open and controlling my screen, I need to have a map app up and running more than the altimeter on.

  64. guest-avatar

    Everybody's Got One

Takes a bit of guesswork to figure out whether or not it's working, especially if you didn't know your altitude beforehand. It assumes you've used it before, and know where the invisible buttons are.

  65. guest-avatar

took a while to get calibrated. still is slow on the draw. when i look at my altitude i don't want wait 2 to 4 minutes for it to get accurate. i have already changed my position by then.

  66. guest-avatar

    Walter McCauley

Not sure about how accurate this app is, but it works good enough for me. Plus it's just plain fun. It's sensitive enough to register a difference in height raising and lowering it while you sit still.....

  67. guest-avatar

Originally thought this app was ok then I became skeptical so i checked it against 3 other altimeter apps and a good quality handheld GPS unit. All the other apps and the handheld were all within 2 to 3 feet. this one was systematically 126 feet lower. garbage app

  68. guest-avatar

When app remains at same location it will very the elevation by hundreds of feet. When driving it will not reflect the change in elevation that has been driven through. The app is free to download but provides no value.

  69. guest-avatar

I really like this I always wondered how high above sea level I was when traveling. like towns in the mountains. I have no way of verifying but just guessing I would say its accurate.

  70. guest-avatar

Great app! One suggestion would be to clarify the source of the elevation reading, and allow the user to more easily select GPS, air pressure etc, as the source

  71. guest-avatar

Today is my first day of experience of using this app, so can't wait to see if it is accurate in most other places as well, however it is a great asset/tool which I had always wanted to have. Hope it gives me as high satisfaction as high hopes I have from this app.

  72. guest-avatar

I like the app very much. It is accurate. Easy to use. I use pressure reading for my altitude. Works great the reading is within a few feet of my photo app.

  73. guest-avatar

To be fair, I have not upgraded to the pro version, but this app works great for seeing how high you are, and the barometer is accurate for seeing inclement weather as it approaches.

  74. guest-avatar

Where I live evidently varies from 86 ft above sea level to 476 ft above sea level. And various levels in between. I sure wouldn't want to make any important decisions from using this tool. It doesn't work. I purchased the professional app so I wouldn't have a problem.

  75. guest-avatar

    Richard Carnahan

used the app today as backup when altimeter in my brother's Citabria went u/s (apparently from his girlfriend having walked into the pitot tube earlier). App was off by 30 feet from true airport altitude but was a great reassurance to have onboard.

  76. guest-avatar

very nice, fast working, is precise for now in the city and has lots of info. very precise even when it uses only the barometer sensor on my Samsung Galaxy A8, as advertised, calibrates itself and works beautifully! thanks, grazie!

  77. guest-avatar

    Steven Garrison

I just loaded this app but it seems to have the features that I need. I'll update this review when I have more interactions with it's features.

  78. guest-avatar

The altimeter app does not always work the same. Some days (or some places) it seems to respond very well; other times it doesnt respond very well at all.

  79. guest-avatar

cool graphics but the altimeter. isnt accurate.i get the same reading at the bottom of the hill as the top of the hill. there is more than 100' difference.

  80. guest-avatar

I haven't used this app much, so I can't be either hard hitting or instructive. I check my altitude occasionally, and living near Salt Lake City, I can tell that it is at least reasonably accurate. The real test will be some excursions into the mountains that I will take this summer.

  81. guest-avatar

    Bill Groombridge

Very good but a pity that the range is so limited.

  82. guest-avatar

I live in Arizona, a State of which 66% is above 3,3,500 foot elevation.. Having a reliable altimeter is very helpful, especially when my city (Prescott) is over a mile high (higher than Denver) and snow levels often are lower!

  83. guest-avatar

Altitude reading did not change after 5 minutes when it was set to acquire a reading every minute and altitude had changed at least 25 ft. Using altitude from map.

  84. guest-avatar

Ads require the program to be shut down to clear them, so you end up having to restart it every couple of minutes.

  85. guest-avatar

Not very accurate. Sitting in the same chair in the same house I get height between 35m to 65m. Still experimenting with it - different settings etc. Not hopeful!!

  86. guest-avatar

Nice App, though I haven't had chance to give it a good workout yet. From what I've seen of it so far it seems like a very useful bit of kit.

  87. guest-avatar

I tried this thing. it changed once during my twenty minutes of driving up and down hills. yes, my GPS was turned on too.

  88. guest-avatar

    Alexander James

This altimeter seems to work well in open spaces but not so well in buildings or inside the car. It does howver give a fairly acurate reading and does mostly, what I wanted.

  89. guest-avatar

    Beaver Lake Bonner

Works well and is accurate if you have an internet connection. As best I can tell it is still "Close" if no internet connection is available.

  90. guest-avatar

Works as advertised, I enjoy using it.

  91. guest-avatar

    Richard Bellflower

We live in the mountains and I am really enjoying checking the altitudes at different locations. very accurate in comparison to know altitudes.

  92. guest-avatar

seems to work well, though I haven't really gone to any drastically different elevations since I got it. I'll check it out when I cross the continental divide!

  93. guest-avatar

This app I had to give a 5. It does what it says its gonna do. It offers differant screens and set ups are easy. You can change from ft. to meters very quickly and easily. Its also me anyways.

  94. guest-avatar

There is an accuracy difference, between this app and another. I am a builder/plumber and am very enthused, but accuracy is important to me.

  95. guest-avatar

Swings wildly. My home is somewhere around 850 ft. This app has shown anywhere from 550 to 1080 ft. Good thing I don't fly with it! I can't read your response (I speak English), but today's readings vary between 769 and 1020 ft.

  96. guest-avatar

    Michael Gilmore

Love having this app as we travel the country. It's fun to know your altitude as you go into and out of the hills and mountains.

  97. guest-avatar

Would like a place where the altitude was shown in plain large print to see at a glance.I If its there already I didnt find it. I liked it over all. Better than most. Hard to read at 100+mph. pp

  98. guest-avatar

readings never in the ballpark. anywhere from 500 to 1000 feet low even after correcting to a marked altitude reading. can't adjust up when reading is low by 2000 ft.

  99. guest-avatar

I am finding this to be a good app. Have checked a number of times various places and the results are consistent.

  100. guest-avatar

sometimes it works and sometimes not. Need button to recalibrate for new location.
