Dimulai dengan mengudara pertama sekali tanggal 15 Agustus 2008 dengan hanya memutarkan lagu tanpa suara penyiar selama 4,5 bulan. Masa persiapan mengudara dilakukan selama 4,5 bulan dilakukan untuk mematangkan sumberdaya penyiar dan management. Tepatnya tanggal 1 Januari 2009 radio Three FM muncul mengudara penuh dengan rangkaian program yang telah dimatangkan sebelumnya.

Kombinasi dari beberapa program terbaik radio luar dan dalam negri maka radio Three FM tampil berbeda dengan radio yang pernah ada sebelumnya di Banda Aceh. Radio Three FM pada awalnya hanya bergerak didunia broadcast dan terus berkembang dengan memadukan 3 konsep 3.1 (Three Point O) On Air, Off Air dan Online.
