Would be great if it were in English! Can't change the language. If it gets unplugged, the dash cam itself (my husband does this!) Grrrr then it won't reconnect! Had to buy a new one so this is useless really!!! :(

I have managed to connect to camera via WiFi. SD card must be inserted before connection to the camera. Before that, when you power plug the camera, check the operation mode (flashing blue and red light), if there is need click on power button on camera to change the mode (there are three modes), and cycle modes until you have camera recording and WiFi turned on / please check the manual for instructions (blue and red light's led flashing and switch). But, WiFi connection is very, very slow, so have on mind that video recorded in HD mode is 3 min in length by default and that is cca 420MB, so you will have to wait for almost 30 minutes to download video on phone. It is easier to pull out SD card and transfer videos manually to the PC.

Put your phone in aeroplane mode then turn wifi on to connect to the camera. Then the app finds the camera and appears to work fine. As soon as you reconnect the network (eg 4G) the app can't see the camera. It seemed a little jerky in animation but worked well enough. As another reviewer said, if you want the video files it might be best to connect the sd card to your computer and read the video files rather than mess around with the app.

I have just tried the app, and have found no faults, only to say, that the setup symble is missing from the top right of the app page. Once you have connected your camera, you can then continue with setting up your camera. If you have trouble connecting the camera, go to connections on your phone, look for the camera on wifi connections and type in your password, and click auto connect and off you go.

The app seems to have a bug with wifi connection. After the dash cam turned on, i have to reset the wifi on the phone by "forget" previously saved connection and reconnect with password each time to connect to the app. Also, you can not save the recorded footage directly using the app but it allows download of the locked/emergency footages. Playback video can be choppy when viewed on the phone at x1 speed. Sometime the app closes when go back and forward on the timeline. hopefully Dev will fix.

I like it but I have issues connecting to the Wi-Fi. I gave it three stars I was thinking two but it takes decent video even in the nighttime. The recent up date is still 2018? I thought about uninstalling it and reinstalling it but if it's still the same version... Oh and I also couldn't figure out how to keep sound on. Every video I took has no sound. Update 3/19/2020. When I try to download clip it jumps around and won't download. Back down to 1 star!!!😠

the app connect to the camcorder using wifi. it works. however, the most important part to use this camcorder is to be able to download videos. the app does not show any recorded videos, during the installation, it says this app is an older version for the android system. it does show photos. hope the new update address this problem.

This app barely deserves one star. I give it one star because it does connect with the camera and you can live view, thats worth something maybe. The timeline operation does not function correctly. There is no reliable way of getting the video's off the camera through the wifi. Convenience was not a goal in the development of this app. On my car android 7" radio the connection icon is hidden at the bottom of the screen behind the white strip that has the home and download buttons.

I started using this app and everything was ok. The footage was being recorded. A few days later, it wouldn't record automatically, and I had to log onto the app first for the day to be recorded. Then I updated this app and now it doesnt record all together. A waste of time.

finally got the app to work. the TF card must be formatted prior to using the DVR. very difficult to connect. eventually had to set the wifi to the dvr then try to connect. images are clear, with some delay. note if the wifi does not connect to the camera. the camera is useless as all the setup can only be performed using a connected mobile device with the 168dvr app.
