I'm satisfied in general, but for years already the app won't allow to schedule a bunch of bulbs as a group, which is obviously something that is needed. You need to schedule every single one separately, from scratch (there is no saving schedules for quick reapply between bulbs, neither it's possible to copy-paste them). I forgot how irritating that was until I had to reset everything today.

Had my 2 LED II Color Bulbs set up for almost a year now and today they appeared as offline. I tried to readd them by resetting both but the setup is always stuck at 52%/53%. I tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. Also the app crashes or says "Network Error", everytime I try to start it, after I manually aborted the setup by closing the app. I am connected to my WiFi as well. EDIT: My problem got fixed with the 3.2.31 update, as Yeelight mentioned in the answer to this review.

The app says it have a "New user experience". Indeed. When I try to log in the app seems to restart. The next time I try, it crashes. Edit: It was actually fixed in an impressive short amount of time :-) Now if one could choose more than one room in the "Room" widget, it would make my day 👌

Great new update with new User Experience!!! Well, it signed me out and took me just 30 min to sign in again, but now I'm back and... everything is gone. So I try to set it all back and... server error. Yay, great new UX. Well done!!! At least I still can use switch on a wall.

Awful. I signed into my account and it wants me to verify my identity. I never gotten an email and when I go through the manual way, it makes you go through leaps and bounds just to get approval. That's not necessary, I already put in the verification code... Not only that, but it always drops connections and I have to constantly come back and re connect it

Please include installation/control for Yeelight Crystal Pendant Lamp. I can't use mine after the latest update for there is no option to add a crystal pendant lamp anymore. Thank you for your reply. Missing simple numeric setting of RGB color or the temperature of the light, like 1700K. Also I don't really need cloud connection. I need the bulb to remember offline a schedule and use wifi only for configuration, e.g. have wifi on 5minutes after I turn the bulb on and no wifi after that to save power. Also I don't like that it needs a password to my wifi, it could just connect to my phone.

I like the app design but could you improve the split screen support, I can't reach all menus and I can't put in a new color flow, and the Music flow mode. When I try turning it on it doesn't work and I only see half of the play button.

What an idiotic move...Update the user experience, but log me out of my account..on my Smartwatch! Try typing on one of them to log back on. This is SO STUPID considering my log in info hasn't change! Think before you do something!!! Updated today, and all my lights are off line!

Since the last update (07/11/19) the app shows my light offline and when I logged out and logged in again it keeps looping and force closing between server choice and "experience now" button. Too buggy pls fix. EDIT:after the last update everything works, tks!

Tasker integration poorly done.Will allow you to set up scenes and other stuff but doesn't work. Will only allow you to turn on and off. Getting rid of my two yeelight devices and going with Magic Home stuff. Much easier, direct alexa support, can control from my PC.

Music mode do not synchronise all the lights in light group. Update: I have 2 RBG light bulbs and 3 light strips. All of them flashing at different timing. Have tried different combination of bulbs and strip, same problem.

Refuses to let me sign in all of a sudden. Cant use any of my lights because the app is broken UPDATE: even worse now, none of my lights are usable and i cant even re-add them. This app is so broken its unbelievable i will never buy another one of these garbage lights ever again i cant even use it

App updates normally drop all connection to the lights, so they need to be reset and readded. This update causes the app to hang at 53% completed. Very frustrating. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Loving Yeelight Smart Lights! I hope they develop RGB spotlights. It's pretty easy to do for them since they just have to modify their existing designs. Just need a reflector inside and a different diffuser design.

Latest update 7/11/2019 broke the app completely, tried resetting the bulb and reinstalled the app. Now after selecting a server it just crashes the app. Update: developers were quick to fix the issue after another patch. Great service 4 out of 5 :) thank you!

My yeelight bulb color become unresponsive after update. When resetted it stuck at 52%, after that apps say my bulb not responding. Sad I can't control it now (edit) After uninstall and reinstalling the apps, it works perfectly now :)

Just received my colour bulb. Trying to use the product with the app , but each time a try and get passed the select your server page the app crashes . I am on a galaxy S9 living in canada , im not sure what the problem is ...

Stopped connecting with Google home. The lamps stopped being visible in the Google home app. The integration is not working anymore.

Fast fix after reporting bug below. Great! - App does not work anymore on Galaxy S9. First my connected light bulbs showed offline. On gf phone with same account everything is going be. After logging out the app crashes after selecting login button.

So, if you need to turn light, you need wait for the splash screen, and after that Yeelight welcome you with the ads. So after 10s you can turn the light on.

From time to time I have to log in eventhough I am logged in... sometimes it's super annoying when you want to turn on lights really quickly and you cant..

Can't even login after update. This is probably the 5th or 6th time the app has broken after an update. The actual light itself is fine, but this app is trash. Stop screwing it up.

Creating a schedule is not working, I created a sched and it doesn't appear after I save it, Even sending feedback through the app always says server error -Developer has fixed the problem 🙂

I would rate it 5 stars other than the fact that my lights have once dropped out and require complete reconnection, this being said it didn't take long at all

Thank you so much for your quick reply. Just this morning prior, we were able to fix the issue in the MiHome app. We had to readd the bulbs there and then it started working again. Your customer service is amazing.

Wow. Horrific. You need to open an account on their server, give access to location, say a spell, cross your fingers and maybe it will possibly connect to your bulb. All this to just perform the function of "light switch". Then, you finally have access to the most asinine user interface conceivable. Avoid.

Unable to share devices 1. we are in same region 2. id is correct 3. tried turning off, logging out, clearing cache doesnt work

Terrible. I can't sign in. It seems its reboots every time I try to sign in. And when I select my server, it just stops running and close.

Having just updated the app, it now crashes when trying to open it. Trying to add new bulbs which is proving impossible.

Great product. I had connection issues after a few months but customer service responding to these reviews sorted it out.

I have a yeelight color bulb which works excellent with this app. Before the latest update there was a problem in making schedule, every time I made a schedule, it was invisible to me and worked hiddenly. This problem has gone away after updating the app. Now this app works perfectly and I'm enjoying moments with this awesome light and app.

I can't control my Yeelight Meteorite Pendant Light so I did a check at the Yeelight Apps that I have it when I installed my pendant light to find out what's wrong and I could not find my device on the list anymore and tried to add device but there is no more option for this light, it is removed. Now I can't do anything about adjusting the light at all. Please add back this pendant light to the Add Device option. Please help to resolve my problem.

Haven't been able to use my bulb for months now. Connection timed out.

Other than logging out itself from my mi account once in a while it's a very good app to have as a companion of your Yeelight accessory.

Buggy app and it's the only way to set the schedule. Don't know what is the logic behind it but I try to set the light to start from 16:30 and it changed the hour to 17. Literally not possible to set the hour at 16 (4pm). It defeats the purpose of having smart bulb

Scanning takes forever. Connection sucks. Once connected, everything was fantastic though. Just give us the damn BLUETOOTH instead of this time-wasting wifi connection. The new update is even worse. I can't even press NEXT to connecy...

Yee light app always show my light offline while Google home can control my light and know the light status... Why does it like that?

I'm using Google Home to trigger actions on the Yeelight Smart LED bulbs. One of my bulb has stopped working now and I want to remove it from my account, but there is no such option to do so. Am I missing something here?

Widgets don't work on Galaxy S8 until after I open the app.

This app has found a way to do the simplest things in a most ‏complicated & dumb way

it could have a color picker with hex codes, but the app is very good. I ak only giving 3 stars because o really think a hex color picker would do wonders for me!

After the latest update widgets are no longer working. Very poor!

All device are offline in the yeelight app. I only can control the lights with mi home or Google assistant.

I sent bad review and after a few minutas they fixed the prloblem. I really thank you I like your products and now your service too.

We fixed the issue by removing the Home sharing from Mi Home and that was preventing to receive the sharing notifications to Yeelight.

Broken. Today's update broke functionality.

After last update my yeelight desk smart lamp is offline...also, widget doesn't work...and after last "update" both my yeelights are offline??!! Get your acts together!

I honestly love this app and my lights, I just have one thing holding me back from giving 5 stars. I wish the lights could go dimmer. When I set my lights to 1% (I have the yeelight color bulbs) it is still fairly bright. I know the lights can go dimmer because I have done this using a "glitch". I would rather not have to use a glitch to get my lights to truly 1% brightness...but other than that I love them! Could this ultra dim feature possibly be added? Thank you!

Love the product, however the app seems to stop working in the background, which is really frustrating! Suddenly i can't turn on my lights from the pull-down bar, or Google assistant. I have to physically open the app, andwait for everything to load.. Would give much higher review if this didn't happen 50% of the time!

I have already contacted the email provided on your website. But we will be looking for a full refund for all of our bulbs if this cannot be fixed quickly and if this happens again we too will be looking for a refund this is not something that should be problematic I understand it can be but it is highly inconvenient and counterproductive.

I bought led strip lights and came home excited to try it out. The product worked fine however the app will not allow the device to connect to the server and the connection always times out. I strategically bought the Led lights to give my room a lavender colour to release stress, however this app is stressing me out. Please fix this problem. Chur

App crashes constantly.

All you want to do with this app is manage a lightbulb(s). Often you have to relogin, mess about with the app etc. Its a bit annoying when all you want to do is turn off the light, yet you have to log in and accept the new terms and conditions first.

No activation email. I've tried to register an account but no activation email has come through to my email account. Update: However, I managed to register using my mobile number. The light works well, besides the registration issues it's a good product.

This app is super frustrating. I tried creating an account and I won't receive my confirmation email. Their customer support sent me the FAQs and it doesn't help at all. I tried creating an account through their website and the result is the same.

Beautiful colors. Works fast

It worked fine for a month but then it couldn't connect to the light. It's showing offline and I can't even reconnect after resetting the lights. It loads up to 100% and then connection times out.

The app used to be quite good but now somehow I can't add even a single schedule. Even when I press "save", the list of the schedules is empty. Guys, please fix this. Thanks!

Latest version as of writing. Google sign in for ifttt integration broken - 403 user disallowed error. This is a security issue, luckily google handles it. Not to mention the app regularly loses login info, and exhibits very high latency.

The newest version is crashed. It's stopped working on my Google Pixel 2 phone. I'm tried back up version 3.2.15 that is working good. Please fix it out. Thanks 11/07/2019.

Why after update, the app is worst than before .. The entire app and shortcuts only works 50% of the time.. Its just switching ON or Off for a light.. Can u just make it work.. Instead I have to stand in the dark and wait for your app to work..!

A bad app, I am currently looking for another one to replace it, if possible. Each time they release an update, it solves some issue but also bring some (huge) new ones! On their Forum, their are many people complaining and asking questions but their barely answer. The product seems good but this app makes it really tiring to use overall. Plus, there are some stuff which are weirdly made in the app: you can cannot make a personalised scenario for a group of bulb, you cannot have favourites which apply to several bulbs (doesn't make sense).

3 things: 1. Privacy concerns, what with all the things happening with data phishing from China 2. The response is somewhat slow from the lamp connected to this app, not bad though. 3. There are freaking updates every month or something, which make you reset every connected device and require authentication all over again. Also, each update seems to be worse than the previous, sometimes not recognizing your credentials (has happened to me more than 20 times in a row)

The connection time out error is so frustrating. I checked the forums and this issue is there since 2018 and still haven't fixed it. Clearly they don't take customers seriously.

This app used to be ok. The current version (august 2019) has ads (loads up way too long) and is pretty laggy when setting colors. Finally! A p.o.s. china lamp with an app to match! : D (Protip. Dont buy rgb lights, you'll never use the features and the color quality is the lowest and dimmest you can find) Then again the app is free and the lights are cheap, so...there's that!

Make it work on lan, use the serves for backup and settings sync. I'm tired of unresponsive toggles. There is an app on windows that works through lan and the response time is instant. It's shocking how bad the app is.

Facing issue with connection light strip

Mostly alright, but doesnt work when using wifi with a VPN, the UI is a little unintuitive and cumbersome. I would love the ability to type the colour temperature values, maybe add an advanced view? The ability to create widgets is great. App is slow to launch though, should be instant. Edit: Current version mostly works when using a VPN. Added a star.

There seems to be a big where adding a new device(led colour bulb) is always timing out, I have tried many times resetting the device with no success, very frustrating.

Doesnt link with my Google home. Keeps hanging

Frustrating... Improve your servers, because in my 1st try for about 2 to 3 hours i had the "connection time out" at 99% and 100% and you can see this in your forums and eventually days after i conncted only through 4G and it was so annoying using hotspot every time and had no hope this will work on Wi-Fi i tried again at last saturday and it worked finally... 😩

I have two Lightstrips, while the first one has been added and updated without any issues. The second simply can't be added nor updated: timed out, server error etc. Annoying!!! Thanks for the support link but the instruction didn't solve the problem as well!

My 4 meter extensions are not working. I only used them for about 5 days. I sent a message on the feedback page and got no response.

I have an issue when connecting the Yeelight to the Google home. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the second generation Yeelight. I can control the colors from the app but still cant connect it to the Google home. The model of the lights is YDP05YL/YLDP06YL.

When I'm using music flow. It is getting stopped after some time but music is playing.
