Finally a switcher that both works as well as let's you prefer 5g over 2.4g, can switch between ap's of the same name (experimental), and has a system notification. I was paying for a different app that worked ok, but lacked the ability to prefer 5g, as well as set thresholds for differences before switching. Thank you!

Finally! A wifi switcher that ACTUALLY WORKS and it's FREE! I'm on Android 11 LG V60 T-Mobile variant and this magical app switches to the better signal even on the same SSID SEAMLESSLY! Proven by watching Twitch streams while walking through the house. I have a TP-Link AX90 and Netgear Nighthawk RAX120 both configured as AP, Xfinity XB7 gateway with both wifi radios disabled. Having the gateway in Bridge mode reduced my speed of 945 to 877Mbps FYI. Hope this helps!

Even though it switches to the preferred WIfi but there is a big flaw. If the wifi option of the phone is on but somehow the phone has disconnected from an AP due to poor range, this app simply wont resume the connection whenever I get back to good range. I need to manually connect back to my AP.

Using with Android 12 on Pixel 4a, tuned the settings for my use (same ssid) and works great! Have set to 20s, and works like a charm! Also 0 battery usage issues. Great stuff!

Just installed a couple of hours ago but so far this works great for switching between ap's on the same network. Hint, go into settings and turn off 5G priority. If you don't, your phone or tablet will try to stick to your router running in 5G even if it's weaker than your access point. Many access points run at 2.4 gigahertz. As soon as I turned this off, my phone automatically switches to the strongest signal as I walk through the house.

Excellent and free!! Tried other apps (some on a free trial that worked but then you have to pay) and this is easily the best free one. I have changed the default settings but not much. Not sure if it would have worked as well with no changes. I have a router and five access points. All with same SSID and password. I can roam around the area (with a Wi-Fi scanner app displayed) and see this app switches to strongest signal within a few seconds of detecting that stronger signal. Delighted.
