    Signed up cuz the kids liked it at first. Then they got bored of it so I tried to cancel the account. I couldn't cancel on the app or their website. When you try to cancel they say "Sorry. Something went wrong. Try again." There's no contact number to call or email to contact them. Shady!!!

    New update is still terrible. I'll probably uninstall it after our free 1 year subscription is over. New update is terrible! It is not user friendly anymore. It takes too long to load, it is difficult to close out of video to find another one, and the video time no longer shows. Please fix!!! We loved it before the update.

    Downloaded the app and tried to do the 30 day free trial. Couldn't even get past 2nd step as it wouldn't even accept my password. The red box keeps showing for typing in a password even if I did specifically what it asked. I can't continue onto the last step which is sad cause I was looking forward to reading some books to my daughter before bedtime.

    Having issues canceling the subscription. I don't want to keep on paying for something my child no longer wants to use. Also encountered bugs when I needed to use the Forgot password feature.

    Edit: While the original bug is fixed, the app now takes literal minutes to load, which is not ideal for a 4 year old. If this doesn't resolve within the month, we will be cancelling our subscription.

    Was great, but after the recent update, won't let me log in and keeps on asking to subscribe, although I've subscribed. Looking forward to have this issue resolved, otherwise I'll need to end subscription. **Edit** It's now working flawlessly, however I would like to suggest that the developers allow playlist management, and should also generate a few playlist by themselves, e.g bedtime playlist, Numerical playlist and etc. Secondly also allow the auto-play option of the next video in line.

    Love love LOVEEE! It's so amazing how these books come to life. My kids enjoy reading physical books, but they also enjoy watching the pictures move with each of these stories. An added bonus is that Vooks also gives you the lesson plans to be able to dive deeper into these stories! We were lucky to be given a free year long trail, but will definitely be paying for a subscription afterwards. I cannot recommend this app enough!

    So I just downloaded the app because it said 30 day free trial...I have 3 kids who I would've loved to get them into more reading. But I downloaded the app, made the account and was in the process of accepting the free trial then boom it never loads. I decided to reload it on my desktop but the free trial offer no longer applies to me because now I have an existing account and when I try to watch any books it keeps saying error, so I have to pay $49.99. When I try to pay its saying error. 🙄

    Update: I changed my 3 stars to 5 stars because they have been frequently adding new books!! We love Vooks! It's a great idea, but the fact that there's not that many books and that they took a lot off makes me wonder how much longer I'll keep a subscription. If they had a bigger selection and didn't take books away after however long I'd keep a subscription no problem.

    Concern from a subscription father Even though my children loves this app, this previous update did not improve the app. The problems that I have encountered were: -painfully slow to start and stream -not able to cast to tv anymore -the new interface is not tablet friendly. (From browsing to displaying) -when enlarging screen, the stream restarts and delays...previous version did not have this issue -not able to view selections outside of vertical view Not to complain, but not an improvement

    *Update* 2 - 4 stars: The company reached out to me & I feel better about their plan. We are still customers & we look forward to a variety of books. I wish this app had more books. All the stories have the same "type of character". The world is full of people from all backgrounds. It would be nice if those people were reflected in the images of the books selected. Our girls need to see little Brown, Asian, & Hispanic boys & girls in these stories too. I welcome your feedback. Thank you!

    It's a great app for engendering the love for reading in children. Often, I mute the video and read to my 2 younger ones while the video plays. The recent update seems to require more processing speed than before. It is very slow on the lower power devices which means some frustration when the kids are using the app alone on their own devices. Also while the video is playing, if the screen is accidently touched the entire screen gets dark with the options to II, X etc. It is very distracting.

    Latest update is really painful. For a few days we couldn't even log in due to technical issues, but even when that was fixed the new app version is much, much slower than the old one. I can no longer zoom in on books to remove black bars. I can no longer see time remaining on the progress bar to tell how long a story is. Did I mention it's really slow to navigate around in the app? We can no longer view the book list in landscape mode, instead switching between portrait and landscape.

    This app before the last update was amazing, visually and practically!!! Now, it's so slow, it's really difficult to manage, it takes ages to upload a video, even to cast it to a TV! It's a real shame, my daughter loves it, I hope you will fix it soon!!

    Thanks for your replied. I have submitted the issue to your support team and hope to get the reply soon. I paid for annual package which started from 26 November 2020 and now still ask me to subscribe and I cannot proceed if not sign up!!!! Not many books compare to App Storytel. Most of the books is for kindergarten level instead of 7 year old and above. Only English books available and limited. Will cancel the subscription once it due as it is not that good as per what have advertised.

    The latest update is completely unacceptable. You have to press on the screen 4 or 5 times to get it to do anything. Its is not responsive at all. My grandson's favorites list disappeared and auto play no longer works for the lists on the home page. I won't continue to pay for something that doesn't work. :( please fix this app!

    I love this app. Books range from the alphabet to subjects such as philosophy of life. If you have children, this app is for them. Everything runs smoothly and it allows different profiles for each of them to save a list of their favorite books to enjoy with you.

    Horrible update! My password works to log in, but doesn't work when I'm trying to change my password. Navigation is confusing, and it won't rotate to navigate horizontal. If I hadn't already paid for the year, I would delete this app. So disappointed, considering we loved it so much before.

    Recent update very frustrating! It is very slow to respond to commands. When I try to use the cast feature, it goes through the beginning of several recently played, before actually playing the one selected.

    Extremely limited. Can only watch on my phone. Fire Tablet and Roku both don't work and websites they send you to for help don't exist. Love what I see on the phone but it's not helpful to have to give my kid my phone any time I want them to listen to/read a book




    Monthly bill price on advert is far different when you wish to give it a try . I see $4 plus on ads, after registering they are requesting i will be paying over $1800 monthly. I need clarification please 😩

    Concept is good but execution is bad, resulting in frustrating customer experience. App overall annoyingly slow, full of bugs (content errors trying to download books), etc. Pity this great idea is brought to life so poorly.

    I paid for monthly subscription and I can not access the app. I already sent email but no feedback. Totally disappointed since it is for kids and it is hard to explain to a 3years old kid that I can not access the histories.

    I am updating my review. There was a technical issue with the app before but it's all fixed. The support team responded to my email so quickly and explained the situation. My child loves the app and hopefully no more issues in future.

    I would have gave it a better because I do love the app and what my son is learning but on the app it says you have 30 days to try it free but when I hit to subscribe it says I only have 7 days free please fix that I feel like it's false advertisement.

    Do not download this app because it's impossible to cancel your subscription should you decide to do so. My 2 year old does better with actual books and YouTube then from this app. I have emailed customer service 4 times and still no response. The website and app will not allow me to cancel on my own and I was charged the monthly fee immediately even though it was suppose to be a free trial. Please don't waste your time.

    Hi, Pros: Beautifully designed books and animations- I loved it. Cons: In the young age children are learning to read. And honestly I expected to have an option where I can switch off video mode and my child could read a book by herself and see the same animations in the background. Other wise this becomes lazy "reading" rather than motivating my child to read better (when she is in the mood or as school homework activity). That said, another idea would be (a bit farfetched and a lot of development :)) I would use voice recognition when a child reads a book to highlight the words (as in read correctly) while reading mode. Which would cover amazingly both worlds (listening and actually reading opportunities).

    Vooks is a wonderful app. It's like having a professional read to your toddler and teach your child how to read. Vooks makes reading entertaining by making the picture in children's books to become alive in a way that enhances the child's imagination. My two year old daughter hardly sit for about five minutes to focus on a book. Then, she will start tearing the paper. The first day I introduced her to Vooks, she sat for an hour enjoying the book. Vooks is a library of many books and it's cheap.

    My daughter adores this app. She is a big fan. I wish if there were more books. Because she has read all the books now and she keep asking more. However, each month they publish new books. And she desperately waits for them, as if she's getting a new present. The best app I have ever downloaded.

    Your subscription doesn't appear on Google Play and you can't cancel it yourself. You have to send them an email and hope they're gone cancel it before your credit card is charged. So if you find that your kid doesn't use it cancel it with plenty of time before you're due to be charged.

    I emailed asking to cancel my subscription before the free trial ends and they emailed back saying it was cancelled. But yesterday payment was taken. Worst experience ever!! I want a refund.

    I couldn't cancel my subscription. It still active. My letter to support mai isn't answered. I haven't got such option as canceling subscription or stopping it. Update: subscription got cancelled through emailing support team. Everything is fine.

    Followed all the instructions and the app wouldn't open. Reinstalled it twice. Can't get further than the subscription page, took my card info for my 30 day trial, but can't go any further.     Worst app ever can't even log onto it keeps saying email nit recognised. You go to forgot password says already registered how stupid. Contacted customer service they were useless as anything "try to login later". Well that was a lot of help. Took all my card details and then can't even get in. If I could give -10* I would. Would not recommend at all

    Cancelation of subscription is not there .iam trying since three months every month the amount gets debited and I keep mailing to unsubscribe but no answer from these frauds.on subscription page " ERROR OCCURRED" is the message iam getting and iam not able to unsubscribe. These people are cheaters ,for my kid I subscribed but now wish to unsubscribe no HELP from these fraud team. Iam in search of lodging complain with all evidences of mail done to them and screenshot I have with me.

    I downloaded this app for my daughter and from day 1 it wasn't working I then cancelled the subscription right there and then. However a month later I was still charged. The moment I realized the app wasn't working both on my phone and TV I cancelled the subscription, during my "free trial" but I was still charged for it. Why is that? I don't want to subscribe to this app any further. And I don't want to be charged for this subscription, especially when I can't and am not making use of it.

    It has now worked well and my toddler and I are back to enjoying Vooks again after the latest update. Thank you to your team for resolving the issues of the app and for the great customer support. Just one concern is left, the billing section is still showing that I used yearly subscription instead of monthly (Not a biggie at the moment since I checked my statement and the app only billed me monthly so I am guessing it is a display issue?). Still thank you, great work on the new UI 💕

    Very good stories, and updated. Don't always agree that titles are age appropriate according to how they are graded due to difficult vocabulary and subjects. I would like the option to have the story tellers voice switched off optionally. To read a book it would be great to have only the background music/sound on but no narrator. The narrator will be the parent or child. Awaiting your feedback.

    I absolutely LOVE this app! I love that my children are learning the words as the book is being read. I love the beautiful music, colorful artistic illustrations and cleaver animations. This app was such a wonderful idea. Between me reading books to them and the Vooks Books they watch/ learn from, I'm sure my children will be excellent readers and soon too! I will be sure to tell all my friends about this wonderful Vooks app!

    I've been fortunate enough to have access to the VOOKS App for free, since the pandemic forced ALL students (in FL) to switch to online learning, My 4th grade daughter's (now she's a 5th grader )teacher sent al her students/parents a online link for a FREE one year subscription. I really truly am only dissatisfied with the fact that there are not enough "new" books added often enough to keep my daughter's and my nephew entertained entertained for long any more

    I've been wanting to cancel my subscription after my free trial is over. However, there is no option to cancel it in my account. I have been charged already in my card for this month. It is quite disappointing not being able to cancel my subscription at anytime I want which is what you advertised when I signed up in the first place. Please cancel my subscription as soon as possible and revert back to me with a confirmation once the subscription has been cancelled. Thank you!

    The stories are ok but it's difficult to cancel my subscription. Am currently still unable to cancel my subscription am I have sent several emails. There is no cancel button on the manage subscription setting as was written when I subscribed. They wrote I could cancel anytime and yet I can't cancel on my own. They keep referring me back to email the support center, yet there is no helpful response.

    An amazing app with really quality content. I love that they didn't simply the books into movies, but read the books with words highlighted adding a vital layer of learning to an entirely entertaining, beautifully executed process. My 4 year old gets so much out of listening, watching and beginning to read along. It's been fantastic!

    This app is absolutely one of my favorite! Everything in it is made with such quality! The rhythm, clarity, and tone of the voices that read the stoeies are delight ; The music and soundscape are sublime! Extremely well done, and appropriate! The pictures are fair to the illustrations in the book, they are beautifully paced and move smoothly! It's nothing like the cartoons or shows for kids that are offered nowadays, where everything is so fast paced, loud, and dizzying busy!! Excellent job!

    This is a good app. My son and I enjoy the books. Visuals and sounds are good, as a voice over reads the words become bold. The variety and options are growing. However, unfortunately a few of my sons' favourites have disappeared without a trace. It would be great to get a notification or a warning. Or even an option as to where those books will be able to be bought or downloaded. Vooks, please assist me in this regard. Where can "Duck on a bike and Duck on a tractor" be found online or bought?

    PROS: First of all, we have enjoyed this app immensely as a homeschool family. I bought the actual books of my son's favorite books and he learned to read with these along with Vooks. Excellent video graphics and enjoyable soundtracks with books. It has been his favorite app of all time. CONS: for children that love routine or are autistic this is not recommended. My son found his favorite books and they became part of his daily routine as reward for device time. We had a list made and everything. Suddenly last week POOF almost every single one of them are gone. I had even bought books in advance for his birthday next week that went along with some of those books. He has cried and searched and searched for those books. We looked all over online to find equivalents to those books and their readings and did not find anything. He does not understand why they are gone nor was there any warning. I have never been more disappointed in an app and don't intend to purchase a future annual subscription due to this.

    Really loved this app and highly recommended it. But, I opened it today to find over half of the books I had saved in my library - most of my daughter's favorites are gone. Maybe I missed it in the description or should have known, but I didn't realize that books would be removed and definitely did not enjoy trying to explain it to my 3 yr old. I feel duped and wish I hadn't paid for the full year subscription. Definitely won't recommend the annual subscription to anyone.

    This app is so wonderful! My daughter loves the stories. They are very engaging and as a parent I like the quality of the content provided. Slumberkins has lots of stories with messages to teach little ones about different emotions and virtues. To my daughter (4), it's just fun to watch but the text on the screen helps her to recognize words more easily We always discuss the lesson and it's astonishing just how deeply she gets it. Thank you for this app and I look forward to the new content.

    When we get the videos to play it's great. But I added videos to my library and when I go to play them, I cannot play them from the library. There's also no option to select to play them versus just clicking on the video. When I search for a video and then click on it it also does not start playing. This is very frustrating because it takes several minutes to actually play a new book. The videos/books themselves are great and my toddler loves them.

    Loving this app! Our 4 year old has autism...he LOVES books and he LOVES his technology, but he has a difficult time sitting still. The animation added to the stories give that something extra he needs to make it through a little bit longer story. We like to add it in to our reading time! It's fun to see his eyes light up when he sees the same book at the library or in our own library at home. We can't wait to have more stories available and for the app to be accessible on his kindle.

    Great app overall. I am a bit of a book buying addict so this is a great way to try new books and the animations are so fun. I would love an even bigger selection, hopefully in time that will be the case. My daughter is deaf and uses cochlear implants so any books on disabilities and hearing loss would be amazing! As well as books about sign language.

    So far my kids (6 and under) really enjoy it. I homeschool and this is great for the younger kids when I'm trying to work one on one. I would love being able to make my own playlist that automatically plays. It would also be nice to have an option for them to be able to read the stories themselves and then push to the next page for the older kids.

    For the price, the book collecton is too small. More importantly, there is no way to select books by reading level. If you want to let your 3-year-old to read a book, you probably need to spend 30 minutes beforehand to go through all potentially viable options to finally find one that's appropriate, content- and reading level-wise.

    Great app! Only wished that there were versions of the videos with music and NO voice so that I could read the books for my kids. Otherwise, it feels like we are just WATCHING and not actually READING. We also love the worksheets and "pause and ponder" sheets and hope that you add more of them with time!

    We love all the work and time that they have put into every one of these stories. Some are classics and some are new. My son loves them and I don't feel as bad letting him watch educational books as opposed to Mickey mouse roadster racers on Disney plus.... My only issue is the app sometimes crashes. Otherwise, 10 out of 10

    Pretty annoyed this is a monthly paid service. My Kid loved this at first, then slowly all his favorite books disappeared. Three Scaredy Squirrel books, Chrysanthemum, Click Clack Moo, Goodnight Construction Site, I'm Brave, I'm Fast, Supertruck, and How do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight have all since disappeared from this site, plus more. Anything added to our favorites seems destined to be deleted... they don't add new books very often either, and the new ones are kind of, meh...
