requires following permissions on your android device.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

take pictures and videos
Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This permission allows the app to use the camera at any time without your confirmation.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

read calendar events plus confidential information
Allows the app to read all calendar events stored on your phone, including those of friends or co-workers. This may allow the app to share or save your calendar data, regardless of confidentiality or sensitivity.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.

add or modify calendar events and send email to guests without owners' knowledge

Allows the app to set an alarm in an installed alarm clock app. Some alarm clock apps may not implement this feature.

receive data from Internet
Allows apps to accept cloud to device messages sent by the app's service. Using this service will incur data usage. Malicious apps could cause excess data usage.

I love the USPS App, because I'm disabled, and some times it bother me to get around. It really helps a lot, that way, I don't have to unnecessarily check the mailbox. Especially being that I stay in some apartments. I love checking the app, or my email, and knowing that I have mail without even stepping out of my door. It's also really helpful in letting you know what's on the way.

Good app with some flaws... I love the app overall, it let's me do most everything I want to check with the post office. One of the things I would like to see change is with informed delivery. I'm signed in to the app, I don't want to have to be directed to a website and sign in again every time I want to check my informed delivery. That seems unnecessary. If I'm signed in and go to check informed delivery, it should be part of the app rather than redirecting to another website to sign in again.

I'm very happy to rate my United States Postal Service Mobile App 5 stars because that's what it is! I also wanted to mention that the Informed Delivery that is offered by the USPS is also 5 star! I love that you can see what's being delivered before you receive it. Track a package among other features. My USPS Carrier also 5 STAR! Thank you Bernie, all the neighbors feel the same way. 👍🏼👌🏼💯%

While this could be a worthwhile tool, its not very accurate. You do get images of "some" of the mail you are expecting for the day, but not everything. I was still going to be fine with that, until they started losing pieces of my mail! There's an option to report that the mail piece is lost but it doesn't do anything, you have to make a bigger deal out of it and who has time to help them do their job?

This is great! I love being able to get notifications of what mail is coming in each day. However, There was one letter, I did not receive and I marked it as such and no one ever got back to me. It has a glitch regarding post office locations, it has sent me to locations for personell only. So not helpful. It would be awesome if they put the closest drop boxes and the pick up times for each. For example if it was 3pm, they would only show pick up boxes that were not collected for that day.

I've had this app downloaded for awhile and it will not let me use a user name/and or password. I've always had the mail person putting my mail in others mailboxes, so thought if I do the informed mail I could know what I'm to get. The supervisor at the Post office suggested this and I can't get it started. Very disappointed

Great app with many options. I personally like it for the accurate tracking of my packages. The app offers tracking, informed delivery, buying stamps, click-N-ship, locations, zip codes, schedule pickup, hold mail and change my address. I have had no problems with the app and would recommend to anyone interested.

Complete hot garbage as is everything else with USPS. They can't deliver my package because they can't confirm my address (again!). And this app won't let me copy and paste the tracking number. Everytime I paste the tracking number and hit the magnifying glass to search, my keyboard pops up as if it wants me to enter data. USPS can't figure out my address for the second time in two months and this useless app won't let me search for my tracking number. Useless.

Haven't been getting informed delivery notifications for mail that is arriving. No notifications, but mail in the mailbox. Still not getting updates on ALL of the mail coming to my home address. Some days it says No Mail or Packages for Today and I go to the Mailbox and it's Full of Mail. Other days it says that I have 1 letter coming and I get 5 letters. Very Inconsistent !!!

This app has helped me in more ways than one. From having packages saying they've been delivered when they haven't to missing mail and just knowing exactly what I'm expecting every day. I see every morning what I'm going to have in the mailbox or at my door from United States Postal Service. Thank you for all your hard work.

This app used to be really convenient and useful for me, especially when tracking a package or while utilizing the mail hold feature. After using this option for several years, it all of a sudden requires that your account be "verified" which can be a very frustrating experience. So, I would have to give it only 3 stars when I probably would have given it 4 or even 5 stars if it wasn't for this issue.

This app does what it says. I can see what type of mail I will recieve if I am not home, track packages that I have sent or receiving, put a hold on mail delivery if I am not going to be home for while traveling instead of going to the post office. Great app.

If you have more than one device as I and most people under 80 do, then this app is useless. Tracking information I entered into the app in good faith, simply isn't there or is incomplete. If I happened to be near my Android phone when I added packages to my watch list, it won't show on my iPhone USPS app watchlist later. If I added packages on my iPhone, none of those packages will show on my Android phone. UPS and FedEx don't treat their customer like this and show information on all devices!

  14. guest-avatar

No settings AT ALL. Can't log into USPS account within the app. Shortcuts in app open the browser. Zero point in having it if I can't log in to my account and have everything displayed within the app. Might as well just open a browser and go to my account in the first place. Uninstalling.

Half the time it states a packages is out for delivery only for it to either be delivered to someone else or delivered 2 days later. Definitely not consistent! You post you want the package delivered to your door and instead they stuff the item inside the tiny mailbox which is a 3×3. The app never updates where the package is at until it's out for delivery.
