Ever wanted to start your own cult? Or wished you could summon eldritch horror-terrors from the abyssal depths from whence we all came? Well here's your chance!

Underhand is a CCG (Cultist Card Game) that puts you into the role of a cult leader. Your job is to manage your cult's resources effectively as you respond to different event cards drawn from the deck. How you respond to these events will determine how far you'll go-- will you succeed in summoning one, or maybe even all of the Ancient Ones? Or will you be just another would-be upstart falling prey to the trials and tribulations of time? Only you can decide!

No ads, it's fairly spartan, but manages to create a compelling atmosphere with like two background songs and some radio commentary on the actions you've chose. There were a couple of minor, overlookable bugs. I only wish we had some new content on which we could try out the last god's blessings. But, all in all, it's a fun little game, even if the theme is questionable, heh. For an extended version of it, with more cards and interactions, I would gladly fork over a [currency] or two.

I LOVE ❤ this game! It's so dark, fun and relaxing, which is why it's so hard for me to give it only 2 stars. First Haruspicy glitches. If a shuffle is near it will freeze as the deck is shuffled. Also I've played multiple hands without end and had quit once I realized that there was no way to win. This doesn't happen every time but I just played 7 hands in a row where either Haruspicy glitched or I didn't get a chance to summon a god.

Enjoyed the first few rounds, but the true god you will want to summon is rngesus for the right cards. Been stuck on the same one after frustrating deck after frustrating deck. Not contributing to the rating, but a minor bug appears to occur when the last card in the deck has foresight. The red X to exit the foresight screen doesn't appear unless you open the menu and resume.

This game is phenomenal. I'm confused that there are no in app purchases or gems or ads and it's such a high quality game great art and sound, and the gameplay and theme are as awesome. Can't recommend it enough!

Great game with dark and interesting concepts. Wish there were more games like it or a sequel. It has no monetization in it as well which is surprising for how fun the game is.

Had a lot of fun with this game for a few months. After you figure it out though, it's easy to achieve the outcome you're looking for if you know what you're doing. Would like some more variety, but overall a really fun experience.

Resource management game with an amoral cultist theme. Worth playing, but very short and with random difficulty. Your event deck is loaded randomly with cards to gain or lose various resources, theoretically parallel and requiring skill to keep balanced. The truth is that some events are damning, and you may not have opportunities to gain certain resources. You will have a decent idea whether a run will be possible after one full round. Finishing the game is rewarding, if unceremonious.

I've replayed the game several times. I love it but there is one slight flaw. Your cards are randomized in such that some rounds are impossible to win. So you're forced to quit and play again. Still, Underhand is a phenomenal game by a one-off developer who I hope makes more games in the future.

I really want to like this game but I have a permanent blue overlay on it (Galaxy S9) and it seems to be a relatively common issue on Samsung devices. On top of that the game would only ever spawn the second god no matter how many games I won. Cool idea but the bugs are disappointing

  10. OvenCake-avatar

    OvenCake

like the cultist theme and its not a bad game at all found a bug where you can trigger cards without actually consuming the resources needed for them if you change Desks with a chromebook as the cards are being consumed with Search + [/] at the right moment the cards wont end up being consumed. Easy way to cheese the game If they ever update the game id like to see either more gods or more things to do after you summon all the gods... as of now once you summon all the gods there's nothing else
