Description
This simpe App enables you to switch your TV on from standby of from on to standby without any remote.
Features:
- Discover if configured Unix System is available after entering the connect information.
- Identifies the actual status of the TV (as long as it is standby or on).
- Dynamic change of the TV status by the press of a button.
What you need:
- A HDMI-CEC compatible Unix System in the same network as your android phone (Yet only tested with Raspberry Pi and RaspBMC (XBMC 13.1).
- A CEC Tool on your Unix System (libCEC) (Only tested with CEC Software von RaspBMC (libCEC). [Command is processed through /.xbmc-current/xbmc-bin/bin/cec-client].
- A CEC compatible TV. (All producers use different brand names for their CEC communication) (Application was tested with Samsung Anynet+ TV.) Some other Brandnames can be found under: http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=CEC#Devices_Known_to_work
- Both systems Unix and Smartphone need to be in the same network.
- SSH must be enabled.
Not yet implemented:
- Unix System will not automatically set to active source for the TV. At the moment the Unix system need to be selected as aktiv source already.
Testet with
- Raspberry Pi
- RaspBMC with SSH enabled and XBMC 13.1
- Samsung TV with Anynet+
- Android Phone - Nexus 5
- Android Version 4.4.4
