Another Bell Ringing app! Create and view compositions - useful for conductors, both established and learners, and anybody who partakes in change ringing. Features ======= Quick and easy system of looking up touches when in the tower See where calls should be made See where to call a method change when splicing Compose touches with the interactive editor Check for Trueness/Falseness Future enhancements in the works: =========================== Make more tablet friendly Export and import compositions Add variations as alternatives to standard methods Add more method info Provide useful feedback on why a composition is regarded as being False Known issues: =========== Kent/Oxford splicing does not follow the convention for where the splice is made - this will be fixed in a future release. Some methods have incorrect bobs and singles - these are generated through an automatic algorithm that makes some generalisations which are not appropriate in all circumstances - this also affects Methodology. An improved algorithm is in the works...
App ChangeLog
- Fixed bug: compositions reported incorrect number of changes in certain circumstances (if existing compositions suffer from this, open and save them again to rectify)
- Updated method library to latest (8th March 2015)

Great stuff for checking touches, and I find it useful for learning touches as well. However it would be improved if it admitted what the place notation of the calls is call it was using, and allowed you to alter or choose the p.ns of the calls (especially methods where there are multiple types of call in common usage, e.g. 4th or 6th place bobs in Glasgow, 34 or 56 singles in Bristol, etc.). I admit expecting it to deal with Scientific might be a bit too much... ;)

Great for checking touches. Would be nice if there was an option to show all numbers for a touch rather than all the line (to check the music). And also if for Stedman the 6 ends were displayed as is convention rather than the half 6 (or at least have this as an option). But great tool otherwise thanks for your time and effort creating it!

Seems to work well.

Brilliant for trying out random calls to see if you can make up a true touch - epecially useful if it's the only aid you have in the tower, and it's way quicker than flipping through books! I've also used it to check what which bell does what in calls in a touch and to check I have remembered a touch correctly. Easy, fun, useful and a good learning tool

Any plans to allow definition of new methods or use those defined in Methodology? how do you correct errors in method definitions, appears that a single in Zanussi is defined as 1456 instead of 1234.

Very handy app for all sorts of reasons. Good if it would allow variations too.

Love this, would be great if you could combine this and methodology so you could copy a composition to methodology and then practise it
