Reviews From google play store

Same as many others - used to be perfect, especially with its seamless multi-device sync'ing. Unfortunately, as of Android 10, it's been useless. It won't turn the screen on, forcing the user to manually turn on the screen, unlock the device, find and open the app, and only then turn off/snooze the alarm. A very poor user experience! The lack of updates to correct this behavior is concerning. I'll change this rating if they ever decide to update the app to be worthwhile on Android 10, but until then...nope.

I loved this app. It was the only timer/alarm app I used for almost four years... but then I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S10+. The app doesn't work with Android 10 Oreo, and because it's not, my timers and alarms are relegated to 'unimportant' by my phone's operating system, and automatically classified as a silent notification. This is incredibly disappointing. Unless the app is open and the screen on, I won't receive notice that a timer or alarm is going off. Needless to say, this is useless when you're trying to set an alarm to wake you up in the morning or use a timer for anything productive. I don't want to have to sit next to my phone to keep checking the screen to be sure it's on and my app will work. It defeats the purpose. I sincerely hope Timely will update soon to correct these issues that I and others are experiencing. This really is a wonderful little app, and would love to be able to start using it again. I'll give it a few weeks before I uninstall and find an alternative. Fingers crossed I can go back to what I love and not have to find something new to replace it.

I have been using timely for years. Unfortunately, like so many others, the combination of the latest Android OS and a Note10+ has rendered this once great app almost useless. It can no longer be snoozed/turned off from the lock screen. You need to unlock the phone and scroll through your notifications, find the Timely alarm notification, open it, and then turn off the alarm. Way too many steps to be convenient. Worse yet, it has become unreliable and sometimes doesnt even trigger the alarm.

I've had this app for years. Back then, it came highly recommended. I was impressed with the quality of the product and the control. However, it no longer works as advertised. The alarm must be hunted down in notifications, making any of the wake up screen features useless. The timer no longer beeps if the screen is off (at least for me for timers about an hour or more). I'm very disappointed.

Like just about everyone else, I have had this app for a number of years, but the last year or so it's been having major issues - the big one being that the timer function will not beep if the phone screen is in sleep mode - it used to do this. Kind of negates the whole purpose. I'm hoping the devs update it for this version of Android as I do not want to get another clock app. If the devs had been updating the app it would be 5 starts, no issue - you can see from people who have changed their ratings how it's gone downhill.

It was a great app that I used for several years and then it just stopped working as intended. Like everyone else here I have problem since the last update of Android. It won't let you know when the timer is up unless you open the app, the alarm clock won't show up on the lock screen so you'll have to unlock the phone, find the alarm among the notifications and when you're finally in the app you can turn it off. It really is annoying more than anything and they haven't updated the app since august 2018 so I don't expect them to do anything now either. It's an abandoned app, so I will abandon it too and find something else to use.

Great app for years. Used it across multiple devices and loved it. But with Android 10 it stopped working right. Alarm still goes off but it doesn't turn on the screen or open the app. I have to manually go into the app drawer to open the app and shut off the alarm. Which isnt easy when you're half awake and doesnt leave an option for snooze. Please update it!

I love the look, user interface, and how the alarm sound is customizable but I've noticed it lagging more and more every time I use it. It still does what I need it to for the most part but I'm getting tired of having to wait 5- 10 seconds before it responds. I thought it was my phone at first and I do have quite a few alarms to scroll through but seeing how this app hasn't been updated in about 2 years i'd say it's likey the app. I'd be happy to up my rating if there are any improvements.

This App used to be awesome. Since my S10 updated to Android 10 it keeps failing. The alarm will not turn off until the my phone is unlocked. I used to be able to slide the alarm off from the lock screen. Now, I have to unlock my phone and turn the alarm off inside the app. Also, the alarm will not go off unless my phone is plugged in. I really hope they fix the alarm functionality.

used to be amazing, now since updating to android 9 (not 10!) the alarm doesn't sound. before the update it did, but from a previous update the app uses too much power and the phone suggests putting it to sleep. I've had this app for over 5 years and 3 phones. I suspect the failure of this app is not an accident.. a real shame. time to switch (to a non Google alarm)!
