Therapiestandards KEM

This app contains the electronic version of the therapy standards and chemo standards in gynecological oncology and senology at the Essen-Mitte Clinics (KEM), which are now in their 14th edition - continued from their Wiesbaden and Karlsruhe predecessors and originally from the therapy manual of the UFK Freiburg 80s. The KEM standards contain diagnostic steps and therapeutic strategies that are used in patients with the most common malignancies that we treat. On the one hand, this app offers a reference work on diagnostics, pretherapeutic clarification and therapy indications and concepts. Using clear menu navigation and a search function, key points can be easily found and, if necessary, saved in a watch list. On the other hand, this app includes a complete list of the relevant chemotherapy regimens in gynecological oncology, including application regimens and accompanying medication. The app is completely loaded onto the mobile device and can therefore also be used in offline mode.

The KEM standards cannot and do not want to replace national or international recommendations, but were created in consultation with them as an adaptation for the KEM. Medicine is dynamic and new findings can give rise to new therapeutic strategies - sometimes deviating from the approval of a substance. Therefore, the treating doctor will always be responsible for choosing the best possible treatment for the patient entrusting him or her, especially if therapies are given as part of an individual attempt at healing. The KEM standards cannot be regarded as rigid regulations, but should be understood as orientation. For each patient it must be checked to what extent deviations are necessary due to individual circumstances.
