Description
The Cape Cod Map App®
Since 1996, VisitCapeCod.com has been a leading guide for information about The Cape’s tourism and Things to Do On Cape Cod, including Lodging, Dining, Beaches, Towns, Art Galleries, Golf Courses, Family Activities, Night Life, and Places to Visit In Cape Cod. Cape Cod is made up of 15 towns and two islands, including Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Hyannis, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, and Yarmouth.
I’ve vacationed, lived and worked on Cape Cod for most of my life, and I love it as much today as I did when I first explored the delights of childhood; making sand castles and netting hermit crabs. Even though I was introduced to Cape Cod at age 5, the one thing any “wash-a-shore” like myself cannot claim is being a “Cape Codder;” one has to be born on The Cape to lay claim to that exalted title. I love Cape Cod, and I consider myself very fortunate to have spent most of my life on these sandy shores. I enjoy sharing with you my favorite Places to Go in Cape Cod. My Goal with VisitCapeCod.com is to provide you with an honest assessment of our community. Although advertising revenue drives the success of websites of this nature, we make every attempt to provide to you reliable, up-to-the-minute information about the Cape. This website has one single premise – to enhance visits to Cape Cod by providing accurate, current information. Timely information can sometimes be a real challenge. In fact even information gathered from our town officials can be unreliable or obsolete by the time the season rolls around. This is why I have made the decision to simplify the listings in some of our categories. Chief among those is the Cape Cod Dining Category. I am transitioning the selections of where to dine to “Top Visit Cape Cod” favorites in each community. Favorites will be included either because I have personally eaten there and consider them worthy of inclusion, or they have been recommended by contributors whose input I trust.
I invite you to check Cape Cod Travel Guide often as we update information for the season. I’m hoping you make great memories that last a lifetime during your visit to The Cape.
