1) App is buggy. The screen does not refresh well. You have to continually go to settings and toggle the background to force it to reset. 2) They may randomly flag your account as being used commercially for no reason and try to shake you down for large amounts of money. Definitely do not recommend any more. Takes 10+ days for them to "review" commercial use, during which they apparently do no review, just give you a sales pitch at the end. Very disappointing.


OCT 12 2019 - After using Teamviewer for years in the exact same way I am now getting a notification that I am using it commercially but I only have 2 desktops at home I run and remotely do updates (windows and driver updates). I have lost that ability so Teamviewer is now useless to me. I am not the only one with this issue as you can see on /Teamviewer subreddit


I got disconnected because the system is thinking i am using it commercial . . Cannot submit a ticket because i am private user. Support never answered in the past any of my tickets . In the meantime i've got disconnected in 30 sec . Have No complain options offerd by Teamviewer. Nice that you aswered here .. from the support i never got an aswer..Answer my emails and the we will see. Make a support hotline !!!


This app has been great, until recently, when something happened, idk what, but pressing block remote user input does nothing, and screen turns black if i switch between touchscreen and trackpad, and opening up keyboard or opening up a menu shows screen again, and this is only on my tablet. i have no issue like this on my phone. I can block remote user input just fine on my phone, and no black screens, only on my tab. Please fix this ;-; Edit: 14.6 update introduced this issue


App itself is laggy while the company has become a bunch of jerks. Connect to your own computer, in your own home, more often than a couple times a week and they'll flag you as a "commercial user". Then they restrict your access by "5" minutes. In reality it's 2 minutes, then TeamViewer will block your access for 10-15 minutes. You're better off with a different company.


Worked great until it started calling me accessing my dad's computer at his home from my home as "commercial use". Trying to get in touch with the company to get it sorted is such a pain that I just dropped the app for another free solution. Friends of mine have had similar problems too. Feel free to use TeamViewer but don't rely on it. Eventually it'll just stop working.


This used to be a great bit of software for personal use. Now it warns me that I am using it for commercial purposes and need a license but have 5 minutes of use. Within 2 minutes or less it has booted me off and won't allow reconnections. To top it off the contact support option takes you to an error page.


Very upset with latest release. I have a business licence for TV but am no longer able to connect to any of my clients machines using Android. The app will only connect to my laptop that is fully licensed. TV support says that is intentional. There is no way to licence the Android app so it will work.


This was a useful app at first. Now it tries to erroneously flag me as commercial (my cell IS NOT 'COMMERCIAL USE') and blocks my connection randomly. Highly flawed app, likely an attempt at shaking you down to pay them for a license you don't need. Think I'll just go back to Remote Desktop, at least THAT works and is always free so long as you know how to properly secure it. The commercial use detection algorithm is clearly flawed and highly inaccurate. FIX IT OR REMOVE IT.


Trying to connect to my home pc from my tablet. This was a recmmended solution. After a few tries, I gave up. it is pretty useless. App keeps telling me I'm using it for commercial use and locking the connection. tells you to contact support, but they hang up on you if you select option indicating you have free license. I've used the windows version in the past, but now it has completely locked out my home pc. Guess it's time for a different solution since this one just wants your money.


They claimed I used it commercially when it was only used on my home desktop and phone. After sending an email to dispute their claim I received no response after a week. I since I noticed that they monitor and block lan connections using none of their servers (only 192.168.x.x IPs, no 'IDs'), that's when I realized these butt clowns were monitoring my home network and phoning home any/all none external connections; this garbage isn't worth that level of intrusion. X2Go/VNC/RDP > this trash.


Teamviewer was pretty good in the beginning. I used it for years connecting to my home PCs while I was at work. the desktop versions gave me some issues with commercial use messages even though I was connecting to my house for personal use. but what has prompted me to write this review was now its stating that on my phone?!? it boots me out after 1 min. I have tried contacting them before to explain, but I get crickets.


Used to be a great app I used it for several years until recently like others have said they started flagging accounts for as they call it commercial use I've never used it as commercial use ever in my life I've only used it to help out other family members and control other computers in my house that do not currently have monitors on them I have actually filled out there form declaring that I don't use it for commercial use and I'm still locked out I can only connect for about thirty seconds


Loved the app back in the day, years of loyalty and recommendations.... flagged me for "commercial use" for connecting to my personal pc for now I get booted after 10 seconds. Tried contacting numerous times I get taken to a down page everytime hoping it will be up one day if it's not fixed within the week I'll be uninstalling and finding a new app.... Sad


I've been using this for years to control my home PC while I'm out. Suddenly, like so many, I'm locked out because they somehow detect commercial use. I've filled out the form to ask for my ID to be unlocked, but while I'm waiting, I cannot remote my computer. And just because I've filled out the form, and if they choose to unlock my ID, there is no guarantee that commercial use won't be detected again in a week. To get an idea of how much customer service cares, just look at all the identical cut-and-paste responses used as replies to these reviews. I'm guessing there is one below this review as well. I will be switching to AnyDesk, and I suggest you to do the same.


It's an amazing app overall, don't get me wrong. I use it for all my devices daily. I often remotly manage my home servers from work to get my stuff going around. This is why I can't recommend it anymore. This app can't be used in work areas, as your computer will be flagged for commercial use. I can't even copy a file I need anymore, as I only have about 10 seconds screentime every 10 minutes. Great app overall, but with it's current policy it is left unusable. Time for an cheaper alternative


I am a commercial user (purchased version 9). It works from my Windows machine with the license. The tablets were always nice since I could also connect from my tablets to support clients. But recently, I am unable to connect from my tablet. Simply says it cannot connect. I do not know if it's because of the commercial license thing or if TV is simply trying to force me to "upgrade" (purchase) a new version where the version I bought works perfectly fine. Going to look for another solution


Same issue like others "Commercial Use Detected". Been using teamviewer for years now without an issue. Recently I checked the option to remember my IP. As soon as I did it blocked me. I think they were waiting to get the IP so that they can purposely block it. I use it for family and friends and no commercial use. I even filled the form to remove the commercial use issue and reinstate my account but its been more than 3 weeks and no reply. Seriously Teamviewer!!!!


I was locked out of the app after being flagged as a "commercial user" without any given reason. This is obviously a systematic issue that deserves more than a copy-paste response from the company. When a majority of reviews cite the same major recently-developed problem, it's not us - it's the software. This used to be a 5-star app. Now I'm being asked to fill out detailed forms to get approval for each device I use. After several years of using TeamViewer, I will now be using AnyDesk.

I have been using teamviewr for years and the thing i loved was its great for controlling my pc out of home now suddenly become using it for commercial purpose after update .i was thinking it was something wrong but when i read the recent reviews no this is puplic issue every free user which was depend on your program now become using it for commercial no there is nothing wrong but seems the new policy of the developer after years of free now its time for money


Trashing it after over a decade. It's been useless to me for private use, constantly getting flagged for commercial for connecting to my living room PC from my phone. Useless support, slow replies. Im sure they don't care. I'm the network admin for a company with over 300 pcs though, and many commercial licenses because I used to enjoy it so I chose it for work. We're replacing our security software, im going to be adding remote software to the replacement list. You earned it.


Well at first I thought it had a lot of trouble with the cursor controls. But I figured that out and it is working pretty well from a chromebook to windows 10. Nicely done actually. Had to drop to three stars , as it can be unstable. Had dropped to 1 star, but that was not fair as IT problems can look like app issues and every company has IT issues at times. I suspect outage reporting is reserved for the business customers. Glad there is a public version.


Flags commercial constantly now. I'm a home user NOT a business but since the latest update it now gives a warning that my TeamViewer account has been flagged as a commercial user and it kicks me off about 2min after I connect. Update - it took a couple weeks but their review process resolved my issue. I had read that the review process was useless. Happy to say that it worked for me. I've used TeamViewer for a couple years primarily to access my own pc and my mom's, excellent remote tool.


At the beginning, it worked flawlessly, but after a few weeks, it detected that my account was being used for commercial use, which it's not true, I contacted support and they fixed it, but issue came back. Worst experience ever, I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. I just wanted to study using my home computer and at the end it didn't work.


100% absolute useless garbage now. Constantly boots you off the connection and puts you in a time-out, only to have the host password be changed afterwards. Some people didn't pay for a proper license, and their solution is to just punish anyone and everyone that doesn't pay. No thanks, your program has always been just a simplified easy use copy of an already existing feature in most computers, which has now become frustrating to use to try and squeeze money out of people.


I have been using TeamViewer for many years. It has been amazing but a recent update or change has been flagging many users as Commercial Use. The official forums are drowning with the same complaints. Review goes from 5 stars to 1 star quick. Not usable at all.


Any chance you could support a connected mouse? Android has APIs for those which the app doesn't seem to use. Right now to simulate a right mouse click I have to long click the left mouse button; also mouse hover isn't supported, making it difficult to read tooltips As a bonus, this would make support on Chromebooks really great.


Personal license no longer supported. They block your connections and say you're using commercially even though you are a single person using it to connect to personal computers. If you own more than 3 computers you will likely be blocked too.


Used free version for personal use for years, now it says I'm using commercially. Times out after 60 seconds. Filled out forms they requested and was told they can't verify personal use. Sent signed form they requested and they deleted email without being read. At the very least, it's false advertising. Will find another app. Uninstalling now.


I've only ever used TeamViewer at home with a residential IP (it's been the same for years), only ever log in once at a time, and they somehow "detected" that I'm using it commercially. There's no other conclusion than that they attempt these cash grabs once you've used the service for awhile. Just a very sleazy company.


Just issues. Worked great for months. Now its saying commercial use. Just 1 guy remoting to his desktop. Email them and nothing. Free/basic use should be 5min. They kill the connection in less then 1min. I could still use it if I had 5min. Login. Apt get update. Upgrade. Boom done. Maybe refresh a service if needed. I would buy a user license but they want $49 per month. It's just me myself and I. Email and been waiting. Looking at alternatives now. Hope I can login fast and install alt in time.


No startup and background running this is something new on Google Play 😂 because 80% apps have Startup + background running for no reasons even simple photo editor apps garbage security on Google Play! That's why I ONLY use apps I really need and for all others is PC ! photo editor with startup 😂 only for devs to spy on users! Games are even worse I never installed any game on phone, because 90+% they run in the background expecially if game is popular!


Get AnyDesk instead. Half the price, better/faster. Created by ex-TV staff. I'm currently trying to access my Mac Mini I have connected tv as a media center, but my account is now flagged as commercial for making too many short connections. I've used TV for years for this and now I'm blocked from it. Not about to pay $45 a month for this service especially when the competition has better quality service at half that price. Also, iOS TV app is superior for some reason, I expected same on Note 8.


Good in older version. Now it simply can't connect via LAN. PC to PC work fine in LAN. Phone to PC also works before not anymore after update. After ask password to connect, it just loading and loading lol. Edit: Thanks for fixing LAN connection problem. That 3 months for fix 1 thing really long time. Hope this not gonna happen again.


After years of private use, TeamViewer now states I use it for Comercial Use. I filled out the forms to unblock it, but somehow they are not convinced. Well, I'm not convinced either about Teamviewer anymore and switched to AnyDesk. We won't renew our company license either. You're digging your own grave.


This app was phenomenal however recently they implemented a new change which constantly blocks me for commercial use even though I am not using this commercially and I'm using this on my phone to connect to my personal PC. Will have to look at alternatives sad to go but it's very annoying to cause that we be restricted when I'm trying to do something on my machine at home. I contacted team viewer waited a week for them to review it then released the block only to be blocked again A-day later.


Used to be a great program. Has fallen by the wayside it would seem. Been trying to connect over LAN for 3 months now. Technical support seems to be non-existent. Many other reviewers are complaing about being locked out for "commercial use."


Ok, so to get this to work to help my mother with her new phone and get it setup, requires you download all sorts of separate apps. This is untenable. I had to keep sending her to the Play Store (that she barely understands as it is) to keep collecting things. Why isn't this a single package?


I have been using TeamViewer (TV) daily for about 5 years. Like others, I was flagged for commercial usage but was able to successfully work through the reinstatement process. For my needs this has been a great program for helping others administer their devices and for watching over a couple of laptop home servers.


A great app that is now garbage. Time outs and time limitations when it used to be free and unlimited. I'd pay for it if it wasn't so Buggy. I accepted it's flaws because it was free. Don't waste your time on this garbage app.


Worked great at first but 2 days later my phone cant access my computer. When I try to log in it says I need verification email which I already did and there's no option to resend the email so I can reverify. Will upgrade to 5 stars when this is fixed


Get Anydesk! Over two months ago I finally got tired of being told my use was commercial and getting timed out. I submitted a claim to be changed back to a free user because my use was personal and I could prove it. A month after submitting the claim, I was emailed and told my account was switched back to personal because I was in fact using it for that purpose. I used it for the first time today and it said commercial use detected. This is a useless app and I will be switching to a new service.


Not working anymore after most recent upgrade of Windows10 64 bit on a Toshiba Satelite always worked awesome before. After entering password it starts to connect to the dialog on a laptop that cuts out and goes back to sign in screen. The commanding device is my Samsung s7 edge Ps the update was The oct 2018 update which took hours so its a.New O.S. to me Working fine for months now after windows update

Would be good to add feature to unlock phone remotely. For people with more than one device, if they need to access the other one remotely..they cannot. Other than that, it works


I purchase and paid for a 1 year commercial membership and now after running well for 2 weeks it still says commercial activity detected and I can only use for 30 seconds before the app kicks me out. Try remote desktop. Dont get sacmmed.


Within the last 2-3 months the company has gone off the deep end about "commercial use". If it has two computers on the same network with it installed it will flip out. Forget about being someone with a home server. I've given up on them as a company. Half way decent for many years but finally a step too far.


App seems poorly designed and i jave issues with the app slowing down the longer i use. Images from like 5 mintes ago will reappear on the screen? Where are these being stored in memory that can even cause them to reappear? Think they have some work to do

TeamViewer just asked the money when I was in another country and needed to use my home computer. It wrote that I used TeamViewer for business and can't use it for free. They didn't want to help me when I called to support by phone, they told me to write an email and wait for 3 days. I wrote the email, but didn't have any answer. Now I use Chrome remote desktop, it's for free and there is no problem.


The app is AWESOME!!! My mom is not tech savy and this app allows me to control her phone and trouble shoot things a lot less painfully than having her navigate on her phone. Saves me a ton of time. I can be on wifi or cell data and control her phone from 1100 miles away. Works like a charm. The developers are genious!


Easy and intuitive to use, but it only allows for screen-sharing on my OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. I can only view my phone's screen on the controlling device, can't control it at all. Would've rated better if it could be controlled.


Had been using teamviewer on windows laptop and it was good. But very dissapointed to use it on my MI and Motorolla android mobiles. Even if internet is there teamviewer still complains no internet. Moreover only able to view other mobiles screen not able to remotely control them.


Working very nicely, easy to setup. Just make sure this app is excluded from battery save option, rest all fine. Never had any issues and able to connect remotely to my phone anytime.


Excellent remote control app but I pay thousands a year for it, I wish the android app wasn't so slow to do it's license check. It can sit for 30 seconds saying activate please wait and it doesn't seem like it matters how fast my service is.


It's detect my device as commercial and every connection it's just disconnecting after 1 minute the teamviewer supporter are just doing copy paste for same reply to everybody and the link they are sharing is not opening, Instead of solving the issue they are just kidding with innocent people strange!


I tried both TeamViewer host and QS to give access to another device. Everytime I would open the app, it shows pop-up to grant the "Special Permissions" in the settings window. When I click "open settings" it does not open any setting window and just returns back to the app. This, not able to create the session with other device.... I am using moto g6 andriod 9 version


Thanks, great app. Good and easy to use. But ask for pro license for using two computers at home.... it easy to find another solution.


Inline Copy from remote text editor is almost impossible. You can double click to copy a word but if has special characters like % then it wouldn't even copy the entire word. For Passwords can have special characters and I am unable to copy them.


Garbage program. Galaxy S7 to PC. Connected it once, was working great for a minute then it crashed my phone. Now it won't connect at all. Just says there's no internet connection. Don't bother.


Mobile app won't even give me a login screen in settings etc like it used to so I can't access my account or machines from my phone, only a pc. Worked fine last week, what changed?


Used to be a big fan of the software to remote in to computers I own (less than 5) to download stuff that I would need later on. Sad to see you guys lock down all of the features and benefits. I'd much rather use Windows remote desktop than your sad excuse for software.


I used the TeamViewer for years. Now i can't use it fully because it say i use it for commercial use. I use it to connect to my pc and server, also to help my friends and my grandparents. NOW I CAN'T.


Keeps assuming that I'm using it commercially and refuses to connect. I've contacted TV and got them to reset but it just happens again. Shame, it's a useful tool to support an elderly parent.

App no longer works. Can't find version number I have and cannot update it. All I get is 'Connection failed (no route)'. Utterly useless.


Great app, just a little bit problem. Every time I open the app (signed in) it shows activating TeamViewer. And it takes a lot time to launch. Please try to decrease the activating time, it would be much effortless this way. Thanks


Is not controlling my host device at odd times


Version 13 does not allow you to connect to remote pcs. It that not what TV is used for. What are they thinking. Goodbye dinosaurs, goodbye BlackBerry, good by TeamViewer


Even though you have secured internet connection it won't connect. It keep on asking check to internet connection. Every time i have to use laptop. Then why I need a mobile app. I'm gonna uninstall this.


Has been a great app but recently does not function as it ought. I can't switch between windows anymore. Please consider that in the next update.


Fails to connect to remote computer constantly and disconnects all the time. Emulator I'm running on my PC shows that it's frozen on TeamViewer when it actually isn't. Runs absolutely awful.

TeamViewer went downhill pretty fast. They constantly block people from using their app due to false positives of improper use in the hopes that more people will pay for their subscription.


App USED TO WORK. Now even assigned computers cannot be remote access. Says route is unavailable. Even though it should be. Fix.


Connection fails.. no immediate reconnection allowed.. must wait for a reconnection.. says I'm using it in a business environment when I'm not.. new update is very buggy


, Pretty much useless for trying to control an Android phone from a Windows PC. Very erratic half the time it will not connect. Then it says I'm using it for commercial use when they're in fact I'm not.


Was a good software while it lasted...TeamViewer is no longer free for personal use..They just incorrectly detect commerical use and kick you off. Better to look for free alternatives.


I can no longer login on my chromebook! After the newest update my computers & contacts tab just loads forever, leaving no option in the app to login. app is amazing otherwise


After severas tries to connect to my own home pc for personal use it stopped working. Says i am using it for commercial use. Moved to alternative - anydesk. It it works even better than teamviewer


Should have an option to not control the mouse pointer by dragging, but rather translate touch to clicks. This would allow use of a Bluetooth mouse, which is currently a pain


This app is buggy and constantly saying that there it detected commercial use and locks out, i am using this for home use nothing commercial. Also this is very slow. I switched to anydesk


Keeps accusing me of using it for commercial use and I've only used the app once last month for 30 min to connect to my home computer.

Backward incompatible changes break everything. I cannon connect to my other devices after update. This is the second time.

Update September 17, 2019: So interesting fact that I came across shortly after myself and others have been falsely flagged for commercial use. About two days later I read that Teamviewer is now an IPO. My theory is that they've become a money grubbing company now and instead of telling us they no longer wish to allow Free use of their software they are simply doing what restaurants do at the end of day and turn up the A/C to freeze us till we get so cold we just leave because they don't want to tell us to our faces that they don't want us there. We're never going to get Free use of this software again is what I'm theorizing. They just want BIG MONEY and are tired of pandering to us Free users. Also, I never got a reply from filling out the form to contest the Commercial Use BS and it's been over a month and a half.......Let that set in...... Previous Review: I used to love and recommend this product but recently I was unjustly flagged as a commercial user even though I'm a home user. I've jumped through hoops to fill out the online form because all other methods of requesting support is a dead end with this company while every other company supports users through multiple methods. On top of that I've noticed the app and the desktop software requires more time to load (actually shows a loading screen) even though in the past it was nearly instantaneous. I've waited 15 days so far for a reply after filling out your online form to get my hardware un-blacklisted and your site says I'll hear back in 7 days. Guess you don't care about your users or your once decent public reputation that you've built. I've played fair for many years, but you are not.


Commercial use issue makes Teamviewer unusable. Far better alternatives on the market. Chrome remote desktop, Anydesk etc.


Can you please provide an option to click directly on a point, rather than scrolling the whole screen? For the users with a pen (eg Galaxy Note users) it is far more convenient. Thank you

Quick support in android is ridiculous. Cant connect and then bans you for a while. Fails again. What a waste of my time. Rhanks for nothing


Same here, I filled out the "non commercial use" and they ignored it for 3 weeks now. I'll uninstall and move to a different app, will tell all my friends to do the same.


LAN connectivity to desktop has been broken for months despite many reports. Evidently this is being desupported - in a deceitful way.


When using this app on my personal phone to connect to my personal computer it throws constant 'COMMERCIAL USE DETECTED' errors. It's unusable. Find another app.


Wow, like i wasn't expecting a huge system for free that it support many platforms and easy interferance but my doupt that i give 4 star is that it takes time to load.


App is very good. I am very happy with like this services. But in Redmi mobiles this not working. I tried in 2/3 mobiles, it is connected but I can not do any thing in that mobiles.
