I originally gave this 1 star and the response was contact customer support. Reading through comments, it was clear that I wasn't the only person having this issue - push notifications were no longer working. No-one wants to be waiting in a queue for more than an hour when they clearly had set up things correctly and suddenly no-longer worked. Removed all devices, still didn't work, so removed the app and installed again. Currently the push notifications are working. Let's see for how long.

I used to rate this 5 stars, but since an app update several months ago, I can no longer see my camera feed unless my phone is on WIFI at home, which defeats the purpose of having the app. I googled how to solve it and it says I need to change the IP address, but I cannot do this in the app. I have also made sure my background data is on. Do you have a quick fix for this issue that you can list here in the comments please? Thanks.

I love this system. I have 8 4k cameras that work perfect. The app is literally in real time and is excellent when recording when movement occurs. One thing to keep in mind is that you will spend quite some time setting up the cameras and wires properly. I had wireless before from a different company and they were horrible. For the price totally worth it and do take the time to get wired cameras.

Update as of Sep 23 2021: If I change mode from home to night or away, the cameras won't transition to the new mode. They remain in the home mode unless I restart the cameras and Notifications have stopped working since 2 weeks atleast. It seems like there is an issue with the app. Please inform your developers to take a look. This is the biggest issue.

Swann is the most unreliable camera system I have ever owned. I get alerts at 3am someone is at my door and when I open the app to see, the app reports "failed to connect." I can be at home or away, the only solution to this is to reboot the entire system. And the only way to reboot it is to be at the NVR because you can't do it remotely. This is absolutely the worst security system ever and I advise to look for another product.

Finally got my 6 camera DVR working right, had to reset the whole DVR to factory just to fix some kind of automatic update that it had that made it not send notifications or video to the app. The app still doesn't work the best and is slow, very slow, and I rarely can see live video that isn't frozen or 1 frame per second every 8 or 10 seconds.

These cameras were good in the beginning, recently for some reason I no longer receive push notifications, this has happened on all devices so its no a setting, I contacted support who checked my setup yet could not resolve the issue, everything else works but I do not know when the camera has been triggered which is really pointless and frustrating.

never used a security device before so I can't compare to any others but this camera is easy to install and set up. the quality of the footage is clear and pings to my phone instantly when there is a detection. impressed that you can control the light, alarm and speaker through the phone and no subscription to save footage, the only negative is that there can be a slight delay if speaking to someone through the phone but overall very pleased. it's a good device to have.

Brought this camera system for the remote viewing option over the app. Becouse where allways away from home. Highly disappoint takes forever to load if at all, allways says cant connected to device, live feed is super glitchy and laggy on all resolution settings, try to playback events, it doesn't work half the time, then try to move the playback forward or back the hole thing just crashes. I hope this apps geting an overhaul, just want sumthing reliable, even if it had half the features.

Don't waste your time with a second-rate system, home or business security is not an area you want to be thrifty. One burglary will likely cost you far more than the Swann package and install. Buy the wireless version with 6 cameras on a double-storey or cable with 4 cameras on a single is sufficient for 360deg external vision. Budget on $300-$900 AU for an effective home solution (Bunnings).
