Description
The app is a structural compass which records the following in a file.
• Dip
• Dip Direction (Magnetic)
• Time and date of recording
• GPS coordinates
The file can be transferred through email, Bluetooth etc. Use Gmail if the email app on your device doesn’t pick up the project file.
A must have app for any Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer.
Latest version has the ability to log the discontinuities.
Import the data in Excel and separate selecting space character. Then import to Dips etc.
Important NOTE: As Android doesn't not have automatic calibration of the compass, you need to rotate the device a few times to ensure it is calibrated. This can be confirmed when dip direction number is not continuously changing when holding stationary.
