Smart Arabic Speaker

Arabic Speaker is an Intelligent Arabic speaker application as a language communication tool for people with speech difficulty. ASpeaker is developed by Dr. Amal Alsaif (Phd in AI for Arabic NLP) in cooperation with the non-profit organization, Anas Assistive Technology Center for disabled people for training and improvement. The application is suitable for adult, children ages 6-years+, and elderly people.

* Arabic Speaker has many advanced features:
- Word Predication using a huge daily communication corpus, conducted by Njoud Albadrani, Ashwag Alamro, Reham Alsaif at the Imam University, SA
- Using pre-generated phrases commonly used in daily communication categorized to Public, Travel, School, Hospital, Mosque, Shopping, and Greetings
- The Ability to customize new categories as needed with new phrases and represented pictures
- Pictures can be taken by a device camera, photos from the gallery, or PODD icons (AAC vocabularies) that are provided in the app
- The user/care-giver can use the automatic speaker (Arabic, English) male or female voice which looks like natural voice, or he can record his voice to generate personalized interfaces.
- All new customized icons and phrases are private and not shareable with public
- The application data is updated regularly with new words for new prediction
- App could be used with Autism, Down Syndrome, ALS, apraxia, stroke and any conditions that limit using the natural voice
- The user can store frequently used phrases in favorite folder easily while he is chatting
- The app works online with full functions, and works offline using Siri Synthesizer with stored phrases
- There is an alarm button when needed to grab people attention

This application is non-profit work and any fee will be used for improvement and operation expenses only.
We used FARASAH Arabic NLP tools for automatic vocalization, and Responsive Voice TTS for Arabic synthesis, the basic requirements were collected from AAT clinics at Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City. We appreciate their cooperation.
