There are a select few puzzles that make sense in this game. I found myself having to guess a lot because all of these user made levels, made almost no sense. You get very little pointers, which is why it's a guessing game, and will never be like hex cells, and you get little to no information on what to do next. I'm uninstalling after I'm finished with this review.

Like Hexcells? This'll scratch that itch for you The vanilla levels are OK, but do rely more on sheer working-memory load than clever or elegant tricks. Overall there isn't the same feel as in HXL that the designer is a human being playing with you. The real stars here are the custom rules levels, introducing various tweaks like all the cells make a loop, or they only cluster in groups of 5 etc. Those levels are an utter delight, challenging but fair. Exactly what I've wanted after HXL!

Forced Errors One of the tutorial puzzles (so far) had incorrect clues. The gray hexes all showed zeroes instead of the correct number of adjecent blue hexes. Since only two mistakes are allowed, this made this puzzle more difficult than intended. Also, the diagonals are very difficult to make out and the line highlight buttons are much too close to the hexes.

It is really fun, can confirm all levels are solvable without guessing, although I may have waived that right a few times. The only negative is that there aren't that many levels. Definately worth a try.

Missing the ability to gray out column markers and large blue number cells, but other than that, works like Hex Cells. Good fun!

Good, but needs improvement. I was super happy to see a mobile rendition of this game, but there was a major lag spike that I would constantly recieve in a regular interval where the game was virtually unresponsive. It would lag (even in the menus) for 4 to 5 seconds, and normal play would resume. It didn't seem to be triggered by any action on my end, which makes me suspect that there's a perodic process in the game that causes this. I would love to see this fixed.

It's a good game, like hexcells, but there are several puzzles that can't be solved without guessing. The format of this is ok, but could be better. Some of the updates have improved functionality. Edit: I have hundreds of hours into the hexcells franchise on Steam. I legitimately know when there are puzzles that require guesswork.

So far, so good. I've completed the tutorial and all of the Easy stages. I made a couple mistakes, but was able to go back and figure things out. I was able to figure all these stages out WITHOUT GUESSWORK! There is no guesswork required, despite the many reviews to the contrary. I admit the controls were not immediately intuitive, but tapping a couple things made things very clear very soon. Experiment, test, use that gray matter, and you'll have yourself a fun, challenging puzzle game.

Brilliantly executed. Great puzzles. Good mobile adaptation. Agree with other reviewers that this is tougher than HexCells, and that you frequently have to use the number remaining. So far, haven't needed to guess, but some puzzles are tricky to figure out the exclusions. Mentally try something and consider the ramifications!

No level I've played (and certainly no level in the standard set) requires guesswork - it's a very competent hexcells clone for Android. My only complaint is that when you press the button to switch between blue and grey cells it sometimes moves the screen a bit instead of switching between them (it detects it as being a swipe a bit too readily) which has resulted in not getting a 0 failure level clear more than once.
