I messaged the developer and the issue with scroll speed is due to the apps old age. It was designed before high resolution cameras in phones was a thing. You have to manually download the newer version as an update I believe. So im raising it from 1 to 3 stars because while it isnt the developers fault, the app is rendered almost useless unless you want to manually update it.

Please listen to all the reviews telling you the scroll speed is way to fast.. because it is! This app is simple to use, it's easy to read the text, and easy to attach documents, but the scroll speed is so fast, even at the slowest setting, that this app is basically useless. That's the only fault, but it's a fatal fault. Too bad.

This used to be a great little teleprompter app. But now the scroll speed adjustment doesn't work. Even at the lowest setting it scrolls too fast to use. And when pasting text, it does this weird thing with kerning and randomly deletes spaces between words.

It's pretty good! The controls are simple, once you get them dialed in you can just add new text and go! I'd love to (pay to) have a way to connect the app to my computer so I could adjust the text without having to type on my phone. Also, when I create the text document, scrolling through it is a colossal annoyance as it only scrolls while your finger is on the screen so no whizzing back to the top. Also a pause button while you're prompting would be great (as well as speed controls)

The app is probably all what is promises to be, a simple teleprompter, and it's great at that. However, I was expecting that settings, such as scroll speed would be stored with each document and not treated as "one size fits all". My hope was to use the app to display lyrics for songs - but in order to so, I will have to manually change the scroll speed etc between each song. Needless to say, but that is too cumbersome and will be prone to user errors underway.

This would be the best teleprompter app, except for you cannot export or save all of your texts to the cloud or even to a file, You can't even find the data file in the phone. I reached out to the creator of this app and he did not know where the texts were stored . So after inputting 70 songs I was unable to save them or transfer them to another device. Otherwise it's the best teleprompter app for its pure functionality with the exception of non exportable data

As a voice actor with decades of experience, I can say that this app is much more tha a Simple Teleprompter, it's an Elegantly Simple Teleprompter. I'm able to copy and paste text from scripts in seconds. The scroll rate can be easily set and, during scrolling, controlled with the touch of a finger. Scripts are organized and readily accessible if I need to do another take later. Simple Teleprompter is one of my most valuable business tools.

Scrolling speed was WAY too fast. Even level one was pretty fast, and I'm a pretty fast reader. I don't know how they expect anyone to be able to read a speech properly with this scrolling speed. Other than that, the app was great. If it weren't for that, I would have kept the app. But because of this, I uninstalled it and went to look for another teleprompter app. I wouldn't recommend installing unless you have superspeed eyes.
