The Sig Fig Tutor is intended to help high school and college students learn how to use significant figures. You are given the option to Learn, Practice, or complete Challenges designed to help you:
• Identify the number of sig figs in a measurement.
• Use sig figs to estimate a final answer after multiplying and/or dividing.
• Use the number of decimal places to estimate your final answer after adding and/or subtracting.
• Determine whether sig figs or decimal places should be used to report your final answer.
