Shuvayatra - Safe Migration

दैनिक २,००० नेपाली युवाहरु अस्थायी रोजगारीको खोजीमा नेपालबाट खाडी र पुर्वी एशियाली मुलुकहरु जाने गर्दछन् । ती मध्ये धेरै युवा कामदारहरु वैदेशिक रोजगारका प्रक्रिया र त्यससँग सम्बन्धित कठिनाईहरुबारे अनविज्ञ भई श्रम शोषण, मानव बेचबिखन र विभिन्न आर्थिक तथा सामाजिक कठिनाइहरूमा पर्छन् ।

शुभयात्रा मोबाईल एप्पले वैदेशिक रोजगार सम्बन्धित विज्ञ, कानुनी विशेषज्ञ र वैदेशिक कामदारको अनुभवहरूलाई समेटेर निर्मित यी अडियो, भिडियो तथा लिखित रूपमा उपयोगी जानकारीहरू प्रदान गर्छ । यस शुभयात्राको माध्यमबाट निम्न विषयमा जानकारी प्राप्त गर्न सकिन्छ :

एपको नँया विशेषताहरू:

1) अब प्रयोगकर्तालाई अझ सजिलो बनाउनको लागि एपका लेख-रचना तथा अडियो-भिडियो कन्टेन्टहरुलाई वैदेशिक रोजगारीका विभिन्न चरणहरू तथा कामदारको गन्तब्य मुलुकको अधारमा छुट्याएर राखिएको छ

2) वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा हुनेहरुले २८ जिल्लाका १५ वटा स्थानीय रेडियो एफएमहरू एपबाटै सुन्न सकिने भएको छ

वैदेशिक रोजगारको लागि जाने सोचमा भएका, जानु भएका तथा गएका व्यक्तिका परिवारका लागि व्यावहारिक वित्तीय जानकारी, सल्लाहहरु उपलब्ध गराईएको छ

3) वैदेशिक रोजगारसँग सम्बन्धित र अन्य विविध समाचारहरू पढ्न पाइने भएको छ

वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा जाने व्यक्तिहरूको लागि चाहिने कागजपत्र¸ लाग्ने खर्च¸ आवेदन प्रक्रियाका चरणहरू¸ विदेशमा भएका ठाँउहरूको बारेमा जानकारी र अन्य विभिन्न किसिमका थप जानकारीहरू समावेश भएको छ

4) विदेश जाने सोचेदेखि नेपाल फर्किँदा सम्म आवश्यक पर्ने विभिन्न चरणहरुमा सेवा दिने वा लिने ठाँउहरू जस्तै सूचना केन्द्रहरू¸ म्यानपावर एजेन्सीहरू¸ राजदूतावासहरू¸ अभर पर्दा सहयोग गर्ने संघसंस्थाहरू आदिबारे जानकारी दिने सेवा निर्देशिका पनि थप गरिएको छ

5) विदेशमा रहनु भएका वा फर्कनु भएका कामदारले नै तयार पार्नु भएका लेख, किवता, रचनाहरूलाई पनि एपको गृह पृष्ठमा स्थान दिईन सुरु गरिएको छ

शुभयात्रा मोबाइल एप विदेशमा रहेका नेपालीहरूको सहयोगमा द एसिया फाउन्डेसनले बनाएको एप्लिकेसन हो जसमा हाम्रो पात्रो¸ सेयरकास्ट इनिसिएटिभ र विकास उद्यमीले संयुक्त सहकार्यमा कामहरु गर्दै आइरहेका छन् ।

Every day, close to 2000 Nepalis leave Kathmandu for temporary jobs in the Gulf Countries and East Asia. Many of these young workers struggle to obtain information on the complex process of migration and its many pitfalls, leaving them vulnerable to labor exploitation, human trafficking, and financial distress.

The Shuvayatra mobile app connects users to an ever-expanding trove of multimedia content supplied by a consortium of experts, advocates, and peers. Migrants can access quick capsules of relevant information on a range of topics, including:

1) a new user interface and user targeted content based on the different migration stages and current location of migrant workers

2) local radio podcasts from 15 local radio stations in 28 districts in Nepal that allow you to listen to local news and programs

3) practical financial information, advice and tools to make sound financial decisions focusing on labour migrants and their families

4) a dedicated news section that enables you to stay updated on migration related regarding changes in government rules and procedures, fees and fines

5) curated and high quality content and tools supporting Nepali migrants and their families with free and accurate information about the documents needed, the steps in the migration process and destination country information; financial information to make sound financial decisions and other engaging content;

6) a comprehensive service directory with service information related to Nepali Embassies abroad, emergency services, migration-related organizations, service providers etc

6) smart search function allowing users to perform any kind of search

7) guest posts like poems, stories and advice from Nepali migrants currently living abroad or in Nepal

8) and even more features due to be released in the coming months!

Shuvayatra has been developed by The Asia Foundation with Nepali migrant workers and is managed together with a consortium of partners including Hamro Patro, Sharecast Initiative Nepal and Bikas Udhyami.
