Description
“Shiv Bhojan Yojana” is a Government of Maharashtra initiative to make affordable food
easily available to all citizens. The scheme received state cabinet nod on 24 th December
2019 and a GR specifying the guidelines around the scheme was released on 1 st January
2020.
Under this scheme, a meal (thali) will be provided to citizens at a mere price of Rs.10. Each
meal will comprise of two rotis, one vegetable curry, one rice bowl and one bowl of lentil.
These meals will be provided at government approved eateries between 12 noon to 2pm
every day.
