Seneca Integrity Matters

Seneca’s Integrity Matters application (app) is intended to enhance students’ knowledge and understanding of academic integrity that will help them make informed decisions.
This app has been adapted from the University of Waterloo’s Foundations for Academic Success App, which was developed with funding from eCampus Ontario. This is an open access application with a Creative Commons license, allowing other institutions to copy and customize this tutorial to their own needs. Seneca acknowledges and credits the work of University of Waterloo.
Seneca is a member of the International Centre for Academic Integrity (ICAI), an association founded to combat cheating and plagiarism in higher education. ICAI defines Academic Integrity as a commitment
to the six fundamental values; honesty, respect, trust, fairness, responsibility and courage. (ICAI, Fundamental Values Project, 1999, 2013). The app is designed around these values.
The Seneca Integrity Matters app consists of engaging modules and games that will help you better understand academic integrity, some common misconceptions, and real-world applications of the concepts and policies. The modules provide examples of scenarios that connect the fundamental values to everyday practices. Your ability to apply these value in your own work is necessary to be a successful
and ethical learner.
