For the most part it's fairly decent, especially for searching through your notebooks for handwritten notes and having things backed up/organized in one place. But just basic settings like a retake button, not scanning every 2 seconds so you have time to line it up properly, the ability to keep the torch off when it isn't necessary, these things are all missing. It makes the actual scanning process a pain, which is a shame because the actual app is very useful and it seems like a fairly easy fix

In 2019 I was told Hamelin was going to try to fix Evernote integration. Now, it is completely broken - "Unable to render this type of image". All references to Evernote seem to have been scrubbed from the Scribzee site, yet the integration is still in the app. Scribzee has no non-web app, so is definitely not suitable for professional use. Hamelin isn't in the business of creating their own ecosystem (and would be stupid to try) so a link to something like Evernote is ESSENTIAL.

Can't log in. Tried to reset password, entered code they sent but they said it was invalid, tried to send another, started taking me round in circles. No I won't contact you to see if you can help. A: too much effort for what is essentially a gimmick of an app and B: I shouldn't have to!

This app is obsolescent. Way behind the development curve for phone scanners. It only saves as JPEG and not PDF. It seems to have little select squares for multiple selecting and then operations like export. They don't work. So each photo has to be exported individually. It is as if it wants to lock the user into their system which is unwise for an app by a stationary company who might not continue to support it. Lining up the page with the squares on the paper sounds good, but it is so very fiddly and as the phone is making photo snap noises every half second one thinks the photo is done when it has not managed to get a line up. There are other free scanning apps out there which auto select just the page and align it in a blink, store files as Jpeg or pdf have easy file management and export functionality. But, hey Hamelin, your Optik paper is fantastic for fountain pens. Sorry to feel the need to write this.

I think this whole system is great. I was worried after reading the poor reviews but I'm really enjoying both the notebook and the app. It scans really well, is simple to ammend the documents, can scan multiple pages at once, blend documents and export as a PDF. Fab!

not only does it take bad quality photos, that has little features on the app to retake /correct. the worst thing about this app/notebook is that, you have to write exactly within those blue squares which are not in the direct corners of the page. There are no guide lines to where to stop writing so the last word or two are cut off from every line making it not just useless but entirely useless. such a shame because the notebook itself is good, so dont buy for the digital features

The app constantly scans to detect the page, and the user has no control over when to make the scan when they are ready. Thus most scans are blurry because the user is busy moving the camera the align the corner marks and not holding the camera steady. On the review step, the only options are to return to main menu, add another page, or finish and save. The user cannot retake a blurry image. Replace the auto scan with a user button to take the picture, and add an option to retake the picture.

Such a basic app. Wish you could change the border for the notes before saving as sometimes I write outside the markers. Aesthetically unpleasant. Sorting the folders doesn't make any sense. Very basic. Would like the option to create a subfolder when creating a new folder i.e create a new folder to sort the notes int hen a sub folder for that particular note. Basic app. Thank you for no ads tho
