Description
For the first time, you have an ability to map the waste challenges faced in your neighborhood and to get actively involved in addressing them. You will also have access to information about waste infrastructure in the city, where waste is collected from and by whom, and which households have joined a waste service.
We invite you all to take an active role in mapping the waste in your neighborhood. Perhaps there is a huge amount of waste piled on the streets or waste burning takes place in your area frequently. Either way, you now have the power to map it and begin the process of improving the cleanliness of your environment. Through this app you will be able to map waste dumping and burning spots.
Nepal Waste Map is an action-research initiative of Clean up Nepal. It is an open-data waste management tool that is a part of Data for Development program implemented by The Asia Foundation and Development Initiatives, and generously supported by DFID.
