I been wanting to find something like this all along and all I could find is apps that require root or does block ringer volume from changing, but only allows for media volume when something playing as default does. Glad I finally found something that works. This has been getting worse about staying running long and I have to keep opening the app more often so I decided to take the review down a few stars.

four different volume control apps tonight and each one of them failed and had to be deleted until I tried this app by rocket locker. this one is so simple as to be genius! if you enable it the only thing your volume control button card switch will do is control the music volume. it no longer alters your ringer volume so that you no longer miss those important calls like the ones I missed today when I forget and touch the volume control switch without thinking. thank you to the company.

Kinda does what it's supposed to, but with added frustration. It says it starts up when the device boots which is false, it seems like it only works when I open the app. Kind of just adds another step to the equation and sorta defeats the purpose if I have to tap on the app to run it. By that logic I could just skip downloading this and just use that wasted tap on my volume slider, no?

On every phone I've had - Samsung Galaxy J1 and Google Pixel XL - this app has worked flawlessly while only taking about 3% battery in a full charge. Now, with a Pixel 3 running Android Pie, it's taking a whopping 19%! That's more than any other app on my phone! Please update this to optimise the battery.

The biggest flaw of course is that it can't run in background. While this sh**bag of an app, shazam, keeps showing his "running" status after I've cut off every single way for it to do so, this thing on the contrary doesn't start in the background neglecting all the options turned on.

This app does as it says. But it seems to stop working after several months, that's random times. So I stop the app and restart it. I tinker with my phone alot (!!) so it could be my own doing. Otherwise, it's a great app!

It doesn't work perfectly, but I give it five stars since what you have done it's something really smart, the app plays white noise in the background and you can't hear it, but when you press the volume rocker the phone is actually playing media so volume buttons only affect media
