Description

From the listing uploaded by “appupdater”.

The Rigveda is a collection of Vedic Sanskrit hymns It is one of the four canonical sacred texts of Hinduism known as the Vedas. The Rigveda is the book of mantras and contains the oldest form of the Sanskrit mantras. The text is organized in books known as Mandalas Each mandala consists of hymns called Sukta. Rigveda composed in an ancient form of Sanskrit about 1500 BCE, in what is now the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. It consists of a collection of 1,028 poems grouped into 10 “circles”. It is generally agreed that the first and last books were created later than the middle books. The Rigveda was preserved orally before it was written down about 300 BCE. The Rigveda represents the earliest sacred book of India. It is the oldest and biggest amongst all the four Vedas. All the features of Classical Sanskrit poetry can be traced to the Rigveda. In it, we find the seeds of India’s religious and philosophical development. Thus, both for its poetry and its religious and philosophical importance, the Rigveda should be studied by one who wants to understand Indian literature and spiritual culture. Initially, the Vedas consisted of four collections of mantras each associated with a particular priest or aspect of ritual Rig Veda, Sama Veda Yajur Veda, and Atharva Veda. * Feature:- - Easy user-friendly interface. - Change text size for better readability. - Use bookmark facility. - Completely offline application so you can use the application without the internet.
