The Raildar app tracks trains on most of the UK rail network. It knows the position of them and plots them on a moving map. It provides an easy to use interface to give you the most up to date status of your train. It really is the commuter's friend, be more informed than any other. It loads and closes, then I load it again it closes again but only on the map side of the app. It worked on the 11th attempt. Other than that its a good app. It needs to be sorted

Update: 5 Aug 2021. Still brilliant just using it to see when someone I am picking up will get to the station. I was looking for a rail equivalent of Flightradar 24 and found this. Its brilliant. Has details of freight trains and Eurostar.

All I want is to know is what the train is and where its going to or from across the bottom of the field where I live. Its frustratingly close to what I want but all trains get to 3miles north of my village and then stop dead. Then after 5-10 mins they vanish (if they they where ever there in the first place). It may work for some but for me after loading and reloading on various machines its clear its not reliable enough to bother with. So DISSAPOINTING ! Please keep trying to get it working.

It's a good app in principle, but execution is quite rough. For some reason it's only showing the trains around South Wales. Very jumpy, and difficult to zoom in on trains - need to zoom in very slowly. Other than that, with some (a lot of) polishing, could be a very good app. When it's polished, I'd have no doubts about paying for the app to get the headcodes, but until then, I'll wait.

Quite jerky. Trains can suddenly disappear too. Handy if you want to arrive at the station to meet a specific train.

I was going to use this for train spotting, but when I open the map the app crashes. Making the app completely unusable for train spotting at remote locations.

Glitchy (major problem in the Seaham area for example) slow and laggy to navigate the map.

This app does exactly what I want, but unfortunately it's poorly executed. The map is terrible, it glitches when zooming in or out and is almost impossible to use. The train icons are horrendous (needs an option to change them to simple blobs instead of giant trains!) and tapping on a train brings up a full screen dialogue box covering the whole map, which is useless and annoying. It's a great concept, and could be a really good app with a bit more work.

The website is absolutely fantastic - have been waiting for an app for a while. Even though this app has been in development for probably quite a while I think it's still in the beta testing stages at the moment, as it isn't quite as polished as the website. There is a lot of potential here, and I would happily pay money for the app when it is finished. However it will take time I imagine. Feedback: use the black and white colour scheme not green, include departure boards and signal map

When scrolling through the railtrack maps the keyboard pops up every time i touch the screen to scroll before quickly disappearing again. It would be nice if the railtrack map was available through the app. I can't see where it is and have to resort to Googling it. Also the option to overlay the track map with a regular map would be useful to get some perspective especially if new to an area and needing directions.
