Raiffeisen E-Banking - simple, fast, secure!

Raiffeisen PhotoTAN is an innovative security tool for login and order approval in Raiffeisen e-banking. It can be used instead of the SMS-TAN. Raiffeisen E-Banking customers can activate Raiffeisen PhotoTAN in E-Banking (“Contract number”> “Settings”> “Security”> “Login method”). Instructions can also be found there.

Functionality:
With this procedure, Raiffeisen E-Banking encodes the login and order data in a colored mosaic. The colored mosaic is then photographed from the screen using the camera integrated in your smartphone. The data contained in the mosaic and the associated release code are decrypted and displayed on the smartphone by this app. By activating the PhotoTAN app once with a personal key mosaic, the mosaic displayed on the screen can only be decrypted using your smartphone.

If you use Raiffeisen Mobile Banking, the PhotoTAN app reads the code in the background on the same device and automatically returns it to Mobile Banking. There is no need to enter the additional code manually.

Your smartphone does not need an internet or telephone connection for this procedure.
