Why we ask for permissions:

We ask for permissions only when we can use them to make our application better.
Below is a brief explanation of why we've requested the permissions that we have.

- Internet
Procore is a cloud service; we need to use the Internet.

- Access Network State
Procore retains some functionality when you are offline; we need to know when!

- Write Contacts
We use this permission to allow you to copy a contact from your Procore Directory to your phone.

- Read Contacts
We are currently building the ability to copy a contact from your Phone into your projects. We had this feature at one point, but needed to make improvements before making it widely available. (Soon!)

- External Storage
We use this permission to allow you to download documents, view documents and upload images downloaded from elsewhere, or taken with your built-in camera application.

- Camera
We use this permission to allow users to take photos.

- Installed Applications
We use the list of installed applications to find viewers for documents, and determine if you have Google Maps installed (try clicking the project address in our side bar!)

- *NEW* Accounts and account information
We recently upgraded our application to use Android's built-in account-management features.
This allows us to be smarter about logging in and provide a lot of new enhancements (check out our widget for quickly uploading pictures from your home screen!)

- *NEW* Location
We recently asked for the location feature.
We use it to GeoTag images if you select that option in our Camera.

requires following permissions on your android device.

approximate location (network-based)
Allows the app to get your approximate location. This location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine approximately where you are.

precise location (GPS and network-based)
Allows the app to get your precise location using the Global Positioning System (GPS) or network location sources such as cell towers and Wi-Fi. These location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. Apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power.

view network connections
Allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.

create accounts and set passwords
Allows the app to use the account authenticator capabilities of the AccountManager, including creating accounts and getting and setting their passwords.

directly call phone numbers
Allows the app to call phone numbers without your intervention. This may result in unexpected charges or calls. Note that this doesn't allow the app to call emergency numbers. Malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation.

take pictures and videos
Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This permission allows the app to use the camera at any time without your confirmation.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

find accounts on the device
Allows the app to get the list of accounts known by the phone. This may include any accounts created by applications you have installed.

full network access
Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.

read your contacts
Allows the app to read data about your contacts stored on your phone, including the frequency with which you've called, emailed, or communicated in other ways with specific individuals. This permission allows apps to save your contact data, and malicious apps may share contact data without your knowledge.

Allows the app to read the contents of your SD card.

read phone state
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

run at startup
Allows the app to have itself started as soon as the system has finished booting. This can make it take longer to start the phone and allow the app to slow down the overall phone by always running.

record audio
Allows the app to record audio with the microphone. This permission allows the app to record audio at any time without your confirmation.

use accounts on the device
Allows the app to request authentication tokens.

control vibration
Allows the app to control the vibrator.

prevent phone from sleeping
Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.

modify your contacts
Allows the app to modify the data about your contacts stored on your phone, including the frequency with which you've called, emailed, or communicated in other ways with specific contacts. This permission allows apps to delete contact data.

modify or delete the contents of your SD card
Allows the app to write to the SD card.

receive data from Internet
Allows apps to accept cloud to device messages sent by the app's service. Using this service will incur data usage. Malicious apps could cause excess data usage.

  1. Luis Jr Aragon-avatar

Not as easy to multitask. Not having the drawings on the multi task bar makes very hard to be productive, because we happen to check drawings and RFI's simultaneously and having to exit RFI's folder to check changes on drawings makes it very time consuming. I like the IOS experience better , because the drawings were on the multitasking bar, you could easily click on tools and opens RFI's or submittals and check drawings simultaneously.

  2. James Evans-avatar

To complicated, to many repetitive task, should have auti fill, meaning you should not have to fill in the same thing every time ,. If you have the app on your device then it should recognize your profile, why do you have fill contractor, name ect. Only thing you should put in is the date answer questions and change locations if necessary, then e -sighn .this app should auto fill your personal information. This app suxs.

  3. Company Account-avatar

    Company Account

I enjoy using this app because it helps in every aspect of the project and ties in all resource to one location.

  4. Cassy Parras-avatar

I feel that ever since this platform was introduced to me, not only are my daily reports more consistent and accurate, I have a better edge by having my blue prints readily available on my phone or tablet.

  5. Travis Seabolt-avatar

Great app for construction accountability and documentation.

  6. Al Sondrol-avatar

The one thing it could do better on is photo organizing once pictures are taken.

  7. Kathy Govea-avatar

Love the app; works very well when on site. You never have to worry about carrying a laptop at all times.

  8. Roger Hammond-avatar

This has been a great program for us. Tracking submittal, daily reports have been the most helpful.

  9. Matt Cowell-avatar

Sure seems wonky for having been on market for awhile.

  10. Christopher Fawcett-avatar

    Christopher Fawcett

Easy to work with on cell phone in the field.

  11. Jonathan Logan-avatar

This is apart of our daily operations. The is one of the best tools ever created for construction management.

  12. John Snapp-avatar

A great tool for tracking projects.

  13. Richard Quadri-avatar

Overall a great application. Just a small issue. I can't seem to use external storage. The app stores downloaded information on my tablet's internal storage and since we have tons of information I cannot download it all for use in the field (limited internal storage). When connected to wifi it works fine but in the field we do not have wifi. I have an SD card but nothing can be stored in that. I can't transfer the application to the SD card either. Could I be missing something?

  14. Troy Cook-avatar

    Powerful software simple easy implementation

  15. Tiny Rick-avatar

Needs a lot of work still.

  16. Ramin Azizi-avatar

When opening a snagging drawing, I only care about my own snags, not Anyone else's, yet this app keeps showing me 1000s of snags and it's slow and inefficient to keep applying the filter. Also, It took me as a tech savvy ages to find correct filter. No one else could find it! UX When I review a snag the snag needs to reflect change through change in colour or something in drawing. Touching snags in crowded drawing is frustrating and inaccurate, allow more zooming in and improve touch commands.

  17. Amogh Swamy-avatar

App will be better if it has inapp Ox blue Camera integration....

  18. Bill Leffler-avatar

It's a great app! I only use a small percentage of it, report writing, uploading pictures, & sometimes the directory. It has even so much more to offer the other users of it on the job site. Help desk on line available as well.

  19. Michelle Malonzo-avatar

    Michelle Malonzo

The app doesn't show correspondence tab.

  20. djdinsrivera-avatar

Great app and always being updated. 👍🏼

  21. Mike Whitbey-avatar

This is one of the best communal job tracking programs I've worked with. It makes communication between field and office seem less. Highly recommend

  22. Prince Shiva-avatar

Very good construction software; however, it's still in development. It needs some additions especially in the PM management.

  23. Zoe Armstrong-avatar

No emails through the app but have it on the desktop?! Possibly the biggest flaw/drawback for this software. Not everyone has the luxury of an assistant tethered to a desk... Pleeeease add email tool to the mobile app!!

  24. Mike Moennig-avatar

I have used for multiple companies, great program overall, but 4 stars because it would be nice if I could do everything you do on a desktop, on a mobile device just for the convenience of it

  25. Bob Cortez-avatar

Very easy to use I enjoy the ease of being able to use in the field on my iPad.

  26. Everardo Gonzalez-avatar

    Everardo Gonzalez

Good to have electronic prints, terrible for every other thing needed. Why waste my time explaining my issue every response from procores team is " sorry to hear that we like to futrher discuss this issue" why if you read the review we do not need to discuss anything if it gets corrected

  27. Richard Turner-avatar

Please fix your photo upload. It's taking me all day to upload photos into procore this is getting really annoying

  28. Spidey Shaver-avatar

This app does not take the place of full size plans, but when you need an answer here and now, this is the app to have.

  29. Randy Hughes-avatar

It has become a great daily tool both on my phone and on my computer.

  30. Albert Fritts-avatar

Best Construction reporting tool for today's Construction Professionals

  31. Robert Bradley-avatar

Very handy tool on and off of the site.

  32. stathis kougianos-avatar

    stathis kougianos

Been using procore 4 years now, great app!

  33. Daron Enos-avatar

    simplifies documentation in the field

  34. Robert Boyle-avatar

Used on medium size Hospital renovation and found it to be efficient and a genuine pleasure to use. Reports were a breeze as we're pictures. The PM could simply open the file and all information was at his fingertips. Payroll records were all part of the reports. Made daily parerwork an absolute pleasure after many of the programs I've used in the past.

  35. Norm Button-avatar

Lots to it I haven't used but like the ease of daily log

  36. Anthony Walker-avatar

Good app but there's a couple of things I hate about the search function. First, when I do a search and then go back instead of showing the search results it goes back to the main drawing screen. It's annoying especially when you tap on a drawing and find out it's not the one you want. Second, there's no down menu of previous searches or popup of previous searches while typing. Sometimes I search for the same drawing multiple times a day. That functionality would make it much easier.

  37. Novel Hernandez-avatar

    Novel Hernandez

Great UI with 1 major downfall. Finding what you need is very easy and handy. The one critical thing that is missing is the ability to save to SD Card. Depending how large your projects are this app uses more storage than any other by far (3-4 GB for me) I've knocked a star for that but other than that i think it's great.

  38. Gregory Green-avatar

Punch is a Complete waste of time! Hundreds of man hours lost trying to keep track of punch on this app. Over 300 items that have no drawing locations. Punch on one side of the building, next is on the other, next on 1st floor, next on 5th floor. Identify them, now go walk them again to Put them in review 2 days later walking they same items because they have not been closed. Week later walking over the some of the same items because only some of been closed. Now iv put seen the same item 6 time

  39. muphoria-avatar

it's nice to have all this in my pocket, however the way that it sorts the drawings is that they start with alphanumeric, and the as you select drawings they are moved to the top. after a couple of weeks the whole thing is messed up and you can't find anything. i've benn submitting bug reports for a while now with no response.

  40. Ari Danginis-avatar

loved iOS version! however, for some reason this app CONSTANTLY deleted my offloaded drawings. it's very annoying to have to walk to a location where I have service to check a drawing (ie when I'm in the cellar I need to walk upstairs to reload them) please fix this and easily will have 5 stars.

  41. Sam Lynch-avatar

In the next update, you should edit the Android app to match iOS app insofar as the iOS version uses colored dots to show users the status of observations, inspections, punch items etc. Please also add a "sort" feature in the "Filter" feature of the individual tools. Would make life easier. Also, my QR code reader does not work if I open it through the Observations tool, but If i go to Locations & use it, it will work. I need to work in Observation tool however. Will give 5 stars once fixed! thx

  42. Ian Ferguson-avatar

User friendly, versatile, efficient, real time application, best CM software I've used....makes my job a lot it

  43. Khoa Nguyễn-avatar

This is the greatest to apply for PM and CM.

  44. Liam Bates-avatar

Items created while offline go missing while trying to upload, never to be seen again. The app chews battery like crazy, lucky to get a couple of hours continuous use onsite using the app on a Samsung S9+

  45. Ryan Plock-avatar

App works great and it's easy to use. Only wish I could access my budget from the app. Not necessarily make changes, but just look at it for review.

  46. denny c-avatar

overall, very good app. However, not having the ability to save to a SD card is a major issue.

  47. Greg Luyben-avatar

It may be easier on a lap top. Trying to learn this app and put in what our company wants is not working for me. It's very frustrating and I'm about to give up with it.

  48. Scott Jaze-avatar

The best construction management system ever! Will not ever work with another company if they do not use Procore!

  49. Peter Marchitello-avatar

    Peter Marchitello

Very good app, but you still need to fix tasks not sending out notifications through iPad and Android devices when creating or updating a task.

  50. Jesse W-avatar

The punch list tool is not ready for professional work as it constantly crashes and does not upload punch list items wasting hours of time out on site.

  51. A Google user-avatar

Procore it's a fantastic program, but the Android app frequently crashes and stalls.

  52. A Google user-avatar

very good application that pretty easy to use and intuitive.

  53. James Edmiston-avatar

Is there any way to "push" photos to upload automatically? Seems like there is no way of getting photos uploaded that follows any type of schedule or process?

  54. josh bird-avatar

  59. Stephen Macris-avatar

    Drawings dont update. Limited functionality.

  60. Paul Jett-avatar

    Makes a project run easier

  61. A Google user-avatar

I use it every day for work and love the camera and everything else about it

  62. Lefty eh-avatar

until they figure out how to let us scale off the drawings this app is half useless as a sub-contractor.

  63. Hugh Johnstone-avatar

Good to reflect on pass site diary for info.

I am sure this product works for some environments but not the Federal sector. And if you get a product and dont use it, they still make you pay, they dont allow you to cancel it. Huge waste of money for us.

Imagine for a moment you walk into this ice cream shop, you approach the counter and pick from a list your FAVORITE icecream! You pay.... The parlor then holds a scoop in front of you, (curious) you open your hands and out drops from his scoop your favorite ice cream onto your hands. "Where's the bowl, spoon and napkins?! dont you think I need them too?!"- "Sure do, but you didnt pay for them, now did ya" You just paid $5,000 for your FAVORITE icecream!
