PRO TRACE

The ‘PRO TRACE' App allows you to trace a number of our products along the supply chain. By scanning the code you can retrieve information about where the product comes from, how it was processed, quality and sustainability information, and even recipe ideas. Currently we have various fish and meat products in our traceability solution for you to explore; many more will follow.

PRO stands for 'Product'. Get more information about a product and its way from the source up to you in the market.

PRO stands for 'professional' and applies to our professional customers as well as to the professional quality of our service.

PRO means 'for': METRO is actively engaged in Traceability and thereby in Transparency, which are both demanded nowadays.

TRACE is the actual performance we offer: ProTrace makes Traceability feasible for every customer.

Just scan the code on the product with your smartphone and learn more about the origin, processing and METRO sustainability aspects. Track the journey of a number of our products.

You can find the code on the packaging of pre-packed products. For fresh products, the code will be printed on the label after the weighing process. Alternatively, you can retrieve information by entering the GTIN and LOT number from your invoice under ‘Numeric Input’ or on the website www.metro.de/protrace.
