This mobile app contains an extract of locations focusing on public sites in Pondicherry town, their old and current images with descriptions which aims to provide a glimpse at its historical development. It is derived from a more comprehensive research product "Pondicherry Past & Present" which provides an overview of the history of Pondicherry in two phases from the origins to 1824 and from 1824 to present day with maps, historical narrative and high resolution images. We hope you enjoy both the app and your informed stay in Pondicherry.
