Every time I turn my TV off and then back on again, this app has removed the wallpaper file selected to work from, and instead displays a generic wallpaper with an error message stating "Not enough photos found to display a screensaver". I then have to reselect the applicable folder to reactive the screensaver. It then works until the next time the TV is switched off and on again (isn't that supposed to FIX problems, not cause them?!). This is absolutely useless if it requires a manual search and "reactivation" every single time the TV is used. I wish there was a 0-star option.

Worth the price as an alternative to the default "Daydream" app from Google. Needs two things: The ability to loop the same video during screensaver playback for the duration of the interval between slides. IE, during screensaver mode with videos enabled, a video that comes up will only play for its duration or the selected slide interval, whichever is shorter. For shorter videos, it would be nice to have the option to enable 'loop video until next slide'. More diverse codec support. MP4 is supported, but WEBM and AVI are not.

This app is wonderful. We went from a regular Chromecast that would display our families pictures and adventures on the TV all the time to Android TV built into our new TV. Android TV did not have as good as a photo mode as CC. This app filled that gap and then-some. We love having the TV has a giant photo frame and the way this screensaver cycles through pictures is fantastic. One request - Can the screen overlay features of Gallery be implemented ot Screensaver - as well as a weather icon?

The app seems like it would do what I want, but it doesn't work on my television. I can't hook up any sources and there's absolutely no support offered by the developer. I've reached out multiple times over the course of a couple of months without so much as an autoresponse. Look elsewhere for a supported application.

You can only view 50 photos that you can't choose in screensaver mode and you have to pay 4 dollars to view your photos in fullscreen and the ability to view all of your photos. This would have been a 5 star rating but this app is like EA Games but with your photos

Running this on my (Sony) Android TV. I am trying to use it as a screensaver, with a folder of photos on a USB stick. It works ok, but I cannot control the sequence of photos. I deliberately renamed all the files to be in the sequence I needed (since they tell a story), but there is no way to present the photos in the screensaver according to the sequence I need. Would have got at least 4 stars otherwise!

First, I wanted to congratulate you for the quality of the application. There was a real lack on android TV devices which is completely filled by this app. In order to remove the restriction to the last 50 photos, I bought the addon at 2.79 €. Everything worked fine, it's a real pleasure with my girlfriend to watch our holidays photo and video.

Absolutely “loved” this app. It “worked” flawlessly until the update now it doesn’t start most of the time while shutting down my shield which is well over half the time it’s scheduled to start. It also now has this annoying bar on the bottom of the screen that shows the progress of the video and lI can’t figure out how to get rid of it. It takes away from its beauty but when the screen saver does actually load it is still beautiful.

Great app, loads of options, bought it for screensaver. Would like to buy it but have an issue. I'm connected to Flickr (awesome) but sometimes there are long black screens between photos, almost as if the app cant display a picture. All the images are normal jpgs though so it's a little strange. Also, I don't see a way to disable movies in slideshow mode, is this enabled if I buy it? Thanks very much otherwise, really great job! Update 2019-04-16: the new version has fixed the issue I was having with black images from Flickr. Thank you! Other things to note, If you spend a lot of time editing your photos, this app might frustrate you a little as it appears to apply some post processing to images, looks like a lot of sharpening and maybe some contrast boost. I don't see any way to deactivate this unfortunately at the moment, maybe in the next release. Otherwise I am still extremely happy with this app, thank you.

Ever since my Sony 55X900E (android TV) updated about 3 weeks ago, I've had a problem caused by the screensaver. After exiting the screensaver, the select button no longer works on my remote. I've tried 2 remotes to the same issue. The issue doesn't recur if I try another screensaver or disable the "Photo Gallery and Screensaver" app. I have to hard reboot the TV to get the button to work. The problem is clearly caused by the app
