It's not a phone cloner as the name states. Only about half up to two third of all your apps are getting transferred from the old to the new phone. It's ridiculous. Not even Huawei themes are getting transferred from Huawei to Huawei phone by this Huawei phone cloner. After cloning there's still lots of manual downloading of apps left to do, not to mention that your email accounts aren't getting transferred. It even may be you won't find your familiar Huawei theme anymore in Huawei themes app.

PSA: this device is excelent but it's geared toward the Huawei side of things. It's intended for a migration from a previous phone (Huawei or another brand) to a Huawei phone. In fact it's usually pre-installed in Huawei devices. But if you try to use it the other way around, the app in the other phone will always work as “the old phone”, unless it's also a Huawei phone. That said, IME this is the migration app that works best. Sadly Huawei doesn't allow it to be used outside its ecosystem.

This works fine with Huawei devices: you can clone phones both sides. But with my Xiaomi I can use the app only to transfer files to Huawei device from any other.

Useless, don't bother downloading it. Installed on both phones, both apps have one option, THIS IS YOUR OLD PHONE, well clearly both can't be your old phone, and there is no way back. Stupid and useless

Firsy I failed to transfer data, its keep crashing. And apparently you need the same version of phone clone app on both device for its to work. So make sure you update both device to make it the same version. Good luck.

Downloaded a version even from 2019. Still says 'this is the old phone' without an option to select 'new phone' on both of my phones (one of which is obviously out the box new). Useless app.

It won't work on Huawei mate 8 devices, it used to, but not anymore, please help fix that... Update: guys if you download a storage app like ASTRO and delete phone clone from there then download it again it should work!,

When I try to scan the QR code from the new phone it returns to the main screen again.

The app just gives me option to choose if this is the old device. This is the new device and I just downloaded it so it should be the latest version. Yet the app on my old device gives me the option to choose whether it's the old or new device. What a waste of time, money and space

It doesn't work at all. Downloaded it on samsung to transfer to Huawei but the app keeps closing as soon as I scan the code to the new device.
