Description
The new Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) (2014/68/EU) went into effect on 19 July 2016. The new Dutch Commodities Act Decree (WBDA) 2016 and the Commodities Act for Pressure Equipment (WRDA) 2016 went into effect on that same date. The PED select.NL app is a tool designed to classify pressure equipment into the right category. The app furthermore enables manufacturers of pressure equipment to determine which module applies. To perform inspections during use, owners/users of the pressure equipment can determine whether the WBDA or the Dutch Working Conditions Decree applies. The app takes various exceptions provided by legislation into account, such as a waiver of the need to perform an inspection prior to commissioning, while a reinspection may be required for specific installations.
