You can also download com.pdanet APK and run it with the popular Android Emulators.

Version 5.10 has major changes, MUST read below before updating.

1. Windows side also need updating from http://pdanet.co/install
2. Original WiFi Hotspot feature remains in the separate FoxFi app if you still need it, just install from Play Store. You can also find previous (4.19) version of PdaNet+ at http://pdanet.co/install/old
3. New location permission required by Android due to WiFi scan API call.

Please be aware that with no root access there are technical limitations of what an app can do. We try our best to offer the "most convenient solution possible" for sharing phone Internet but it may not be an "ideal" or "universal" solution (e.g. a normal WiFi Hotspot). It may not work for particular devices.

=====WiFi Direct mode (new!) ====
PdaNet+ now comes with a completely new "WiFi Direct Hotspot" feature that works on all Android phones 4.1 or later. It allows you to connect computers and tablets to your phone using WiFi BUT it will require you to either install our client app or setup proxy depending on what device you are connecting to the phone. You can activate "WiFi Direct Hotspot" in PdaNet+ then tap the "Help!" button for detail instructions.

*If your Windows computer does not see the hotspot during pairing please do two things: 1. Restart Hotspot on the phone.
2. Click on "Show All WiFi Direct Hotspot". It will verify if your adapter supports 5Ghz.

====FoxFi/WiFi Hotspot Mode (the old) ====
The original WiFi Hotspot feature remains in the separate FoxFi app if you still need it. It has ceased to function on many newer phone models due to carrier updates. Even when it works, your hotspot usage may still be metered (see plan 2 below). WiFi Direct Hotspot could solve both issues. However the new feature is not meant to support game devices, TVs or TV streaming devices.

=====USB Mode=====
USB mode works on all Android phones (except for some ZTE/Alcatel models). It allows connection from Windows or Mac. In addition, there is a "WiFi Share" feature that can further turn Windows into a WiFi Hotspot so that you share PdaNet Internet with other devices.

*If your phone is not recognized by your computer after connecting USB, please see http://pdanet.co/driver

=====Bluetooth Mode=====
You can use Bluetooth mode to connect Windows. Although WiFi Direct mode is preferred.

=====Do I need this software?=====
The PdaNet software has been around since the first Treo smart phone in 2003. With over 30 million downloads in total, it must be something that everyone needs, right? Well...it really depends on the kind of data plan you have for your phone. There are 4 kinds of data plans from most carriers:

1. Your data plan (limited or unlimited) does not allow you to turn on the mobile hotspot feature on the phone (it prompts you to call your carrier).

2. Your data plan is unlimited and you can turn on mobile hotspot from your phone to use it. But hotspot usage is "metered" against a cap (say 5G/month). After that the speed will be throttled to a crawl. (FoxFi can't avoid this!)

3. Your data plan is unlimited, and you can turn on mobile hotspot from your phone with unlimited LTE usage and no throttling cap. This plan does NOT exist or not intended. But we have seen loopholes on some phone models to allow it.

4. You data plan is limited and it allows you to turn on mobile hotspot from your phone. The mobile hotspot usage goes under the same data plan limit.

If your plan falls under 1 or 2, you will need to use PdaNet+. If your plan belongs to 3 or 4 then PdaNet+ will not make any difference. If you are unsure what plan you have, it won't harm to always use PdaNet+.

=======================
Free edition of PdaNet+ will have timed usage limit, otherwise it is same as full version.

Sprint and AT&T may not allow you to install our app from Play Store, please install the apk file directly from http://pdanet.co/install or install from the computer side.

Terrible app. The developers need to fix this issue. Everytime I unselect the "Wifi Direct Hotspot" option to turn it off my phone automatically shuts off. I have the same issue with the "USB tether" option when I click and try turning it off. If I even try to press and turn on the "Connect to a PDAnet hotspot" option my phone will automatically shut off again. No app has ever done that to my phone. This app is unfortunately too good to be true. I really thought I found a great app for once.

pdanet ios Could solve a real problem, not being able to share cell data, but the connection is just so unreliable and having to key in new and complex passwords every ten minutes, sometimes less, makes this a.....well back to checking for something else that is reliable. They also have some limits on the free version, but no way I'd pay till they work out the bugs.

  3. guest-avatar

pdanet pc I remember a time I used this app/program and it worked great. So needing a tethering app again, I paid for this current version. Right off the bat I've had problems with constantly recurring disconnections. Looked around online, and saw complaints about this issue but didn't find any solutions. I really wanted to like this app but it's practically useless like this.

  4. guest-avatar

pdanet iphone Good except one major issue: when I connect via USB to my computer and I get an MMS message (a picture) the connection drops for a second. This is a big enough problem to disconnect my VPN running on the computer. This is on my Verizon Wireless Pixel 2 XL. Android 10, latest updates, stock non-rooted. Interestingly, the Wi-Fi direct connection does not have this problem. However Wi-Fi direct is much slower for some reason than connecting via USB. Update: found the disconnect also happens when a phone call is received.

pdanet windows This app is the most intuitive and responsive program on any platform. It gets your desktop ONline quickly and when you're ONline it is FAST! I've known about PDAnet+ for years and it just continues getting BETTER. I especially appreciate the Key that costs so little but keeps you ONline without interruption. Check it out!

pdanet download Current version 5.22.1 run on a OnePlus 7 PRO and Windows 10 Desktop PC using USB Tether - keeps disconnecting 2-3 times a day. The "checkbox" next to USB Tether just unchecks itself (the check mark disappears) and the connection drops. It does not auto-reconnect, you have to connect manually by touching the USB checkbox to make the check mark reappear. WiFi Direct Hotspot is even worse - way many more disconnects like once an hour. Bluetooth is a joke - so slow it's unusable (not going to stream 4K movies, right?) and should be removed from the app. Another BUG is that T-Mobile once or twice a month can see it as mobile data, thus using up my 10GB of HotSpot Data for the month all in one day/night. Needs FIXED!

  7. guest-avatar

pdanet pro apk You're gonna have to be really careful with this one. Not only did it drop out on me last night, it made it crash, reset, then the password I put in couldnt get me back in my phone and i had to reset it, losing everything on my phone. I was devastated. Plus using too much eventually tries to reconnect, then it crashes from using it too hard. It's going to have to get checked otherwise people will lose things this app. It's gutted me.

pdanet full version The free version it worked for about 5 days before I received the DNS not verified reboot warning. After purchasing the app I now get the error every day. So I have to shut down all my programs to reboot. At this time I cant recommend this app until this issue is fixed. If you want more stars offer a resolve for the issue. No contact information on your website. FYI I prefigure USB tether.

pdanet for android I have used Pda for a few years. Disconnects used to happen sometimes but not very often. Over the past year the disconnects have become more frequent to the extent of having to reconnect within a minute of making the last connection multiple times in a row. My longest connection period right now is about 15 minutes (yes, it IS the paid version of the app) but most of the time the connection is dropped in 5 minutes or less. This is the case on two different phones and using those phones on 5 different laptops ranging from Windows 8 on the oldest to Windows 10 on the newest (about one month old). What has actually caused me to write this review is that when I sent in a message to JuneFabrics for help on resolving the issue is that they say they will try and help resolve it and give me an answer but if they can't resolve it then they simply won't reply. Really? If you can't fix it then you'll just ignore the request and not reply at all? Btw... In the process of writing the above my connection dropped 3 times in a row. Connected and hit the edit button to add this part. Connection dropped again before I could hit submit.

pdanet exe Update: Things were working fine for a few months...then the app kept force closing the USB function, or the app would crash every ten minutes for the last couple days. It's behaving again...the Crashing was occuring with the USB Tether becoming 'unchecked' while saying (forced closed)...This occurred regularly until I changed settings in the app from IPv4 to IPv6...internet connection is stable once again.

I paid for the full version of this a while ago, and all throughout my college semesters I was able to do my homework from home, download games, watch YouTube etc. It worked perfectly. But recently it has refused to stay connected, I'm consistently getting a "reconnect failed" message. I got a new cord, but it didn't solve the problem. I thought it was my phone, but I see other reviews with people having the same (or a similar) problem. Holding out hope for an update to fix this.

  12. guest-avatar

I paid for the full version. I wish I can give this a better review since when it works, it works wonderfully but frequently I get disconnected for no reason every two minutes. Sometimes, it occurs every half minute. It's impossible to work with when that happens. Bluetooth mode is much more consistent but the connection speed there is ridiculously slow! I'm thinking of trying a different tethering app since I could not find any way to resolve this including manual proxies, restarting, etc

I've had the paid version of this app for over a year and a half now and it's worked perfectly until recently. I've done fresh installs, restart both my devices but PdaNet refuses to stay connected and it's driving me crazy. It frequently disconnects with the message "reconnect failed" and will only stay connected for a few minutes or seconds at a time. Please fix this ! A lot of people are having this issue and this is my only source of internet out in the woods. :(

  14. guest-avatar

To this day this is the only app I have ever paid for. I was using foxfi before pdanet bought it. I gladly paid the 8 dollars for it as it saved me 20.00 a month that Verizon charges. And honestly as cheap as I am I would have paid 20.00 for it. There is no monthly fee and you can take it from phone to phone unless you switch to apple then you have to rebuy it. Would you guys look into finding a way to get this to work on an nvidia shield.

  15. guest-avatar

App works great. Pay for the full version - no issues. If you live in an area where your phone gets good signal and LTE+ then you are good-to-go. Make sure to install all components of PdaNet+/FoxFi correctly. I did not install FoxFi and my PdaNet+ kept timing out/slow. Did not realize FoxFi was missing. The developers do not emphasize the importance of installing all required components.

  16. guest-avatar

It works good but not perfect. When it come to gaming it absolutely fails. In team fortress 2 you cant choose custom severs. And in planetside 2 after about 100 people are in the area your ping reaches up to a 1000. Some games won't even join a sever at all. On the other hand watching YouTube is smooth and perfect.

  17. guest-avatar

If you are a novice at connectivity get your learning skills ready. Once you figure out how to use this app it is really very good. The free version is great to try but annoying as it disconnects after so much time...meaning you have to keep manually connecting. Invest the money and get the full version. Win 10 will only tether for some reason hence my 4 stars and not 5.

  18. guest-avatar

Why when i turn off the app does it still auto load when i turn on my pc? I do not want it to load when i start windows, but after like 5 mins of the pc on there is old pda loaded up, again. Time to find a new source as this has been taken over by big tech.

  19. guest-avatar

I use it for free wifi hotspot broadcasted from my laptop. After tethering to PC, run an elevated (admin) command prompt or power shell, then type: "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=networkname key=password" (you choose your own networkname and password) "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" (Starts the broadcast, replace with "stop" to stop) Now your laptop is broadcasting a wifi signal.

  20. guest-avatar

Great, and use it daily. A crazy deal for 8 bucks. My older, slower phone (an LG Stylo 2 Plus running Android 7.0) will disconnect when the phone screen is on; the screen must be off. Other than that, and on my newer phone, it works reliably! ***Others who had disconnects might simply try turning the screen off or *not* using the phone simultaneously.

Steps to share wifi: Do not connect PdaNet at first. Connect phone to PC via normal usb internet tether>Use that connection to start up Wifi hotspot on PC>NOW connect PDA(broadband should start)>go to change adapter settings(network)> Right click the PdaNet broadband adapter, click properties>sharing tab>enable sharing and control of internet for the PC HOTSPOT From here, internet may work, if not, disable original adapter and leave up broadband and wifi hotspot only. Share to ps4, MTU = 1472

  22. guest-avatar

Trying to figure out wht I'm still manually reconnecting after wasting 7 bucks or whatever it was on the pro version. I guess the full version is supposed to have an auto reconnect baked in however we must be fools in assuming as much. Literally no different than the free version. At least with the free version I could tether for a pre determined amount of data before being disconnected...now with the full version I'm constantly having to manually reconnect to pdanet. Trash app. Do not download

  23. guest-avatar

Great app, it worked super good for when i lived in the middle of no where. But the recent update to Android phones broke the app. Instead of complaining and 1 staring this app. Contact the developers to update to the lastest version.

  24. guest-avatar

This software is a buggy POS! It's clearly still in some sort of beta even though they advertise and sell it as fully functional software. It is not. Making a wifi connection to a computer is iffy at best. More than 50% of the time it does not work, and you have to either restart the phone, your computer, or both. Both the PC software and the android software are garbage! This would be a FANTASTIC program if it actually worked. It doesn't, and I'd be willing to bet they will not fix it. Using a USB connection is a bit easier, but it is 2020, I should not have to use wires! Don't bother paying for this garbage, the free version works the same as the paid version. Neither one will stay connected for very long.

  25. guest-avatar

I'm sure this works great for Windows computers and such, but someone online said they were able to connect their Nintendo Switch to the wifi using this app so I was very excited to try it out. Everything I tried didn't work, and my Switch refused to connect via my android phone. Not really the app's fault since it wasn't designed for that device, but still upsetting.

  26. guest-avatar

DON'T BUY FULL VERSION, IT STILL DISCONNECT YOU. This is a good apps to share our unlimited internet quota to other users, but will suddenly disconnect every hour and we user need to manually reconnect it. Developer said if we paid for full version, we won't have this disconnecting issue. It is a big LIE.. I PAID, and now i still have the disconnecting issue. If they fix this disconnecting issue, I will change my review. If you still saw this review, means they have not fix it.

Works great accept for the Wifi direct and a few things could be updated within the app, other than that still very great! Highly recommend! And to the developers please update with new settings and to put in DNS settings and Proxy settings would be nice, along with the hotspot without root that doesn't seem to work much really.

*Why when using pdanet, does it show my pings exactly the same all over the world?? In pubg mobile its showing the same ping for North America, Asia, Europe, etc. *Constant disconnects on wifi and usb. The speeds seem to have plummetted and is causing horrid lag and disconnects. Restarr constantly, reboot, reinstall, beta or no beta. Doesnt matter.

  29. guest-avatar

doesn't work anymore. used to work years ago, but needed it today and didn't work through any option. then I realized I can simply turn on wifi tethering with my phone, no app needed. I deleted this app. useless.

  30. guest-avatar

About a year ago, it was working perfectly. Then used to connect and disconnect more. Now? It won't even put the WIFI on. I can't use my or anyone else hotspot/connection. Used to be my favorite app but now it's useless

  31. guest-avatar

Paid for full version, still got it's own data limit that when it hit at certain amount of data such as 2gb then it disconnected automatically. Got wasted but still using due to it does use mobile data plan not the hotspot plan.

  32. guest-avatar

This app works well on my note 9. I don't have to worry about running my hot spot data out anymore when connected to usb. Awesome job and keep up the good work. I ended up purchasing the full app to support.

  33. guest-avatar

I have had this app for a few years and for the most part it has worked pretty good. For the past month, I have not been able to connect my tablet no matter what I try. There is no direct customer service so there is no way to get help from a tech person.

  34. guest-avatar

Haven't used them for a while but hope to start again. I bought the full app maybe 10 years ago and there it is, still available to me anytime! Not like Spotify or MS! Really love it!

  35. guest-avatar

I've used this app for years, the free version was excellent for my school work despite the connection drops. So I recently bought the full version, making this app the best app I have ever used. Instantly increased connection speeds and no drops.

It used to work before but when I launched it and connected today it didn't work at all. I've even went to the pirates bay website and watched some illicit stuff. What did my carrier do to block all this? Or maybe I should top up my SIM card first? Maybe later...

I'm not sure I even have the right app for what I want. But I'm trying to connect my daughters tablet to my cell phone internet. My cell doesnt have a hotspot. On her tablet I can see the wifi name through this app but I'm not sure how to get the password. When I open the app and try to connect it shows the name but the password is blank. Please help!

Will not connect using any method to my Windows 10 laptop. I have the full version, and the up to date companion software on my PC, but nothing works. The wifi direct works with my Win7 laptop, but I've never been able to get the USB tether to work on anything.

  39. guest-avatar

Works great on my PC but absolutely won't on my Mac. I paid for Fox fi which is a joke. I can only get tethering to work on my PC. Neither tether or WiFi works with my Mac.

  40. guest-avatar

Nice app, Love it. I've been using it about 4 years periodically and didn't have much problems until about a year ago to now I am having one problem. I have a Cricket Moto E5 Cruise and it doesn't allow or support the WPS bottun. The only thing I can use this app for is my laptop on USB mode. Anyways, I hope you continue to add and improve the app. Much thanks.

  41. guest-avatar

Initially worked great. Now getting a error message when trying it use the WiFi hotspot direct feature - "WiFi direct needs work on this phone be model. Please contact support for a solution." I have a Moto G6 if support does see this review.

This was 5 stars 2 years ago. Now im sitting here with a connection speed of a whopping 47KBS peak, and hating life. Ive updated the app, the computer, tried setting higher priorities for the app on the pc.. just nothing. Im on day 5 of not being able to use my pc on the internet. Only internet source out where i live is dsl...with a connection speed of 700kbs....for $70a month....and it disconnects if a squirrel sneezes

  43. guest-avatar

I have nothing but good things to say about this app. The only thing I have an issue about is the apps problem with connecting to game servers and downloading certain games. That was my purpose for getting this app.

15 tabs open, uploading lg video file to youtube , watching music vids on wmp-hc ad loads pages fine. i bet i could run 2 virus scans as well! LG Lucky to Asus netbook win 8.1 pro Well it's 2020 and I'd say I got my 8.00 worth. Pdanet kept working thru all the new protocols, bridges, virtual adapters, direct rooted thru phone (don't have to turn it on!) Finally upgraded to G4 as G3 barely works here now. Little difficulty re downloading to new phone but more Plays fault for lack of clear instructions. Wish I was still on XP these builds suck more and more....after 10 they should stop...like terminator lol 10 did make it harder to use pdanet since it's impossible to get a clean config

  45. guest-avatar

Really great app, just wish the wifi/hotspot connection would work better on my computer. Does better (faster speed) with usb tethering. Thanks and everyone stay safe during this time.

  46. guest-avatar

So far I love the app. Just read people, you download this on your phone and download an application on your computer and then link it. It is easy and works perfect. My internal hotspot sucks and was only at 100kb but when using this it is at 15 to 20 Mb. My internet test says very fast! My data plan is unlimited but my carrier just really throttle back behind belief. This bypasses the internal hotspot and creates its own so you get full speed on your connected device.

  47. guest-avatar

Very limited experience so far, but instantly (albeit, it would be nice to be able to have a settable password) made my phone a hotspot. My MVNO, Black Wireless or changing to a G7 Power disabled this for me.

If you want to connect to Roku, streaming tv, or game console it "can" be easy. If you are using a Windows 10 computer with a WiFi card install PdaNet on both the phone and computer, then tether via USB. Click the PdaNet icon on your windows tray at the bottom right and "Share over WiFi," create the ID and password and done. Issues I've had: -PdaNet PC WiFi share doesn't start. To fix run in Windows 8 compatibility mode. -PS4 disconnects. To fix install VPN on phone, disable "hide tethering."

I had Pdanet+ on my old phone (LG K7) and loved it, but when I got my Samsung sky j7, it would not work at all. (That has been fixed, and I am soooooo happy!) Anyone who has a hotspot capable phone, but the hotspot feature is blocked or has a ridiculous limit on it should definitely try this app! Free your phone from the chains that your cellular provider has imposed upon it 😁

Amazing. World of Warcraft, Xbox Live FPS, streaming 4k video, with NO LAG. I've hit speeds up to 43mbps, latency as low as 90(requires a script for WoW thats available on android forums, just do some Googling.) i mean we are talking 40 man raids, high pop realm stormwind, orgrimmar, with 150+ players with no lag. Strongly suggest it. I prefer the USB method,(use high quality cable!)type C/Gen 2 is best not needed though. switch USB connection to PTP, plug ethernet cable into Xbox and bridge it!

Recently when I use pdanet I can't connect to the internet, I had no problems a few months ago. I try to connect with USB and it will say "connecting to your phone" but it will not connect, and eventually the pop up that says connecting to phone will go away. It won't let me connect to the internet and that sucks because I used to before with no problem

This app is awesome! It works perfectly! We now use only our phones for our home internet because it works so well and is FREE! Its GREAT for traveling! My kids get to use their PCs in the car so they don't get bored on long trips! All you have to do is install this app on your phone and download the computer version on your PC and you can work or play anywhere! Thank you for making such an awesome app!!!

Was working really well until last update now all I keep getting is error 16 which terminates the connection and has to be restarted Constantly I wish for this to be fixed but sadly no response to my post. Guess they don't want you to know that this app is now broken. I have paid for the app and was happy with it till recently.

  54. guest-avatar

If you are using an older version of PdaNet, I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT UPDATE IT. Time and time again, I've made the mistake of updating PdaNet, which ultimately leads to unbearable problems. Prior to updating to version 5.22.1, I had a somewhat stable ping of around 60-90. My average for everything is now 500 ms. I could usually fix this by reinstalling an old version, but I seem to be SOL as there are no legacy versions on their website.

faithful user since 2011. Since updating as soon as I push connect it will immediately fail to connect and then I tried again and it will always work, however it only works for 15 to 20 minutes and then shuts down automatically and this is not the Wi-Fi idil timer this is a software issue. Developer please fix this issue so that the connection is not dropped. Previously before upgrade it would still disconnect randomly it would not be able to reconnect without restarting

Installed this app to USB tether to PC. Had to download the PC version of the app on my phone to the SD card then plug phone into the computer and copy the exe file onto PC and install. PDANet works great tethered and I have had no problems. I have not tried the WiFi hotspot function or Bluetooth so I can't speak on that. I needed this because my USB wifi adapter broke. It was old and needed replaced anyway. This app got me through until I could afford another one. Internet>Food/Water/Shelter.

The Bluetooth feature is critical for my needs. It works incredibly well when sharing internet from either wifi or 4G. Please do not getg rid of the bluetooth support!!! This is one feature that works perfectly for me and i rellie upon it heavily!!!! The reason, i dropped my stars from 5 to 4 is only because this version, it says it is no nolonger officially supported and will be disabled. In the future.

  58. guest-avatar

When this works, it's great. The issue is the USB connection disconnects very frequently. The Wifi will work once after install, then never again. Multiple phones and computers, same symptoms. Bluetooth is stable, but less than 1mbps. No sense in paying for the license when the premium version disconnects you too!

  59. guest-avatar

This app works great. I work on a tug and my phone is the only link to the outside world I use the app to connect my ipad and to update the charts in my navigation computer weekly. I have one small complaint. The font and font size should be changed. I have trouble reading the wifi password because it's small, and because of the font used it's hard to distinguish 0 from O j from J and I from l.

  60. guest-avatar

I have the paid version, so why does it just totally stop all the sudden out of the blue, please update so it just never disconnects and I can enjoy my unlimited fast speeds.

  61. guest-avatar

Works with the exception of being able to use the hotspot on my Windows 10 PC through the connection with this, my PC doesnt recognize an internet connection to turn on the hotspot on my PC.

  62. guest-avatar

Paid version is broken and the free version disconnects you once an hour. On top of that the whole thing only connects 50% of 30% of the time.

  63. guest-avatar

It works really well... Thanks so much...I did tethering and hotspot with FoxFi first but it didn't work well...I tried PdaNet+ and it really worked smoothly. I did all steps for PC and easily installed the driver...I have Verizon Galaxy Note 3.. Default tethering and hotspot never worked...I used to think that it was my operating system's problem but I really wanted these to work for setting LAN on my PC...I tried this app and hopefully it worked... Thank you very much for this app..

This app was my life the past 3 months it helped me to share internet to my PC and it really helped me but now I don't what happened that it doesn't work anymore I try to buy the key and it says that a problem with the server have occurred....my computer don't have internet but the app in my phone says yes it shows that it's connected but non of my all or games are connected to internet not even chrome just want to say thank you pdanet...need some help!!!!

Cut the cord with my ISP about 3 years ago and still going strong. I share my T-Mobile mobile to my PC, then I have Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) turned on in the PDANet network adapter and sharing out to my PC's ethernet, that feeds into my wireless AC router so I all of my wireless devices can connect to the Internet. Right now I can stream from a Fire Stick in Full HD so the connection is fast and solid.

  66. guest-avatar

This app used to work so well but recently the internet feed keeps running so slow that the videos my wife and I watch keep freezing and buffering. Will give more stars when it is fixed.

Changing my Review! I paid for the full version, after this, it does not work on certain phones! I figured out why, it now only hotspot with 5ghz with no way to choose 2.4ghz... Now my Son is unable to enjoy the hotspot as his phone can only use 2.4! This should be a simple fix, I have seen comments on this, and apparently the devs dont care!

Best app out, sadly as of the time of writing this it no longer works on nvidia shield android 8.0.1. Setting up a proxy 192.168.49.1:8000 will give the browser internet but all other apps still no internet. Other apps have wifi direct and work but suck. The one I'm using now doesnt work with netflix but works with YouTube and YouTube TV. Just slow as hell, pdanet is my go to I hope they fix it soon.

  69. guest-avatar

Love this app! Occasionally the USB tether turns off but you can manually turn it back on by clicking on it.

Works like a charm for streaming hulu and Netflix or just providing basic internet needs. I have the pro unlock and the app runs great on my LG G5, but the windows utility CONSISTENTLY just disconnects every hour or so. There's no timeout set on it or anything, and it's not throttling. It just disconnects often and then stops reconnecting after the 4th time or so, then you need to manually reconnect. I have unlimited hotspot data and use this for torrenting and the such. Can't just set and forget

  71. guest-avatar

Tried many different versions of PDAnet, and it seems they all disconnect at random so it is an os issue not negotiating with the app but on the pc the same issue, there is no switching of flavors to the app since the problem stems from the phone in wifi direct, all other methods except usb just don't work, while other apps like vpn hotspot, and wifi tether router don't have this issue, but won't hide tether unless in vpn. this 1 is the only 1 that hides your tether. using 8.1(pc) and 6.0(phone)

  72. guest-avatar

Windows PC app works great until it randomly and contiuously decides to decides to disconnect from my phone. I'm getting really tired of having to restart my computer.

  73. guest-avatar

No longer hides data usage on android 10. Also disconnects on android 10 with paid version. This needs to be fixed.

  74. guest-avatar

Needs to be able to connect to Nintendo devices! I keep getting a DNS error that it could not be found!

Works great. I have it on my older phone that I haven't been using, I can create a WiFi and update my apps on my old phone 😂.

  77. guest-avatar

Works perfectly. I had satellite internet due to where i lived and had the worst latency issues for "first person shooting" games. Switched to this for free and it has perfect internet!! It doesn't charge my cell service provider and i can usb tether directly from micro USB. By far the best app i have seen in a long time

  78. guest-avatar

Well, I installed this aplication on my tv box and it does not share internet connection as said with the tethering phone connected by usb.

My experience with v. 4.19.9 has been nothing but good. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I use it on a regular basis with no problems. Highly recommended.

I'm in the Army and I'm located in an area where there is no wireless. I rely on PdaNet hotspot to gain access to news and other PC functions. Thanks to PdaNet for the most part it is reliable. Recently though it has become touch and go.

  81. guest-avatar

Had been using free version on tablet and started having to enter password and long connection times. I bought paid version hoping to get better service and avoid password entry but no such luck. Contacted developer with no response. This used to be a great app and not so much now. Just wasted 8 bucks again.

  82. guest-avatar

Disconnecting have pro version works in usb great but does disconnect but very often, wifi direct disconnects every could minutes ill be playing a game my ping goes to 800 and then on my other device i get cannot establish vpn connection.

  83. guest-avatar

PDAnet is a must-have for anyone who wants to be prepared for internet outages. You can tether the data from your phone using this app to your PC or other devices, regardless of whether or not you are paying your mobile carrier for the ability to tether.

  84. guest-avatar

It was working for months on end maybe even years. I've gotten any updates just recently the latest update may have broken this when I place into a window as I usually do with Galaxy 8 pluseventually it just turns off I have battery optimization to never I have background data allowed and never expires.

  85. guest-avatar

Doesn't actually create a hotspot. Has an insanely long name that you can't change for the hotspot and isn't visible and doesn't connect via hidden SSID either.

  86. guest-avatar

Doesn't work now. Used to work great, but not on my new Galaxy S20+. Please fix it.

  87. guest-avatar

App stopped working. Used to use legacy FoxFi key to unlock PDA net +. Android 10 apk key stopped working. Emailed app developer to continue this since parent company is the same. They are not helpful and unresponsive. Stopped working on a Pixel 3 XL running android 10. Cannot recommend. Look elsewhere

  88. guest-avatar

Been using PDA net since they were FoxFi ,bought key etc etc . What's with the new update guys !?! Fix it ! Even after taking the timer off it still shuts off every half hour to hour and drags horribly now . Please fix ! Long to customer here ! And I understand Google wanting our freaking location ,but come on I could do with out a hotspot company wanting my location .

I thought this app was a joke but it's the REAL THING. I would 100% purchase it but I can't because I'm broke as a joke. I will definitely be recommending this to friends! Thank you so much!!

I've been using pdanet when it was only Foxfi. I love it, I can get online perfectly with the wifi hotspot, works great for my Kindle Fire and Windows tablets and keyboard combo. In other words I've been using Foxfi+Pdanet for about 6 maybe 7 years

  96. guest-avatar

The app works perfectly, and the company's support is excellent. This is the only way I can get internet on my PC running PhoenixOS, since PhoenixOS doesn't support my USB WiFi device. Well worth the price!

Not 100% working. Sharing my experience for 1st week after purchased full version, the app work fine. Can use wifi hotspot from phone & wifi share from pc(pc work like modem) without consume hotspots quota. After a week wifi hotspot keep failing to detect pdanet+ . Hope this issue can be settle as soon as possible. Thanks.

App constantly disconnects from PC or phone. Changed settings to midi, ptp makes no difference. When you pull down the notification bar app always says ready to connect even if it's already connected. Needs an overhaul to be current with Android.
