PCSecrets Sync

Synchronize your secrets between Secrets for Android and PCSecrets.

Secrets for Android is an app that allows you to securely store and manage passwords and secrets on your Android device. PCSecrets is an application that provides similar facilities for a PC user.

PCSecrets Sync is an Android app that synchronizes your secrets between these two. PCSecrets Sync is a Secrets for Android sync agent. It makes use of the new sync agent interface introduced in Secrets for Android 2.4, which was a joint development effort between this author and Roger Tawa, the author of Secrets for Android.

Feature of PCSecrets Sync include:
- synchronizes secrets between PCSecrets and Secrets for Android, and across multiple mobile devices
- interchange of secret data is fully encrypted
- PCSecrets provides full conflict resolution in cases where the same secret has been updated or deleted in difference locations
- gets data to Secrets for Android via PCSecrets' flexible import facility for XML, JSON and CSV data

Because the sync agent is really just an Android service, there is no UI apart from the startup splash screen. Messages from the service are shown as notifications.

PCSecrets Sync requires these permissions:
"Access unencrypted secrets" - to access Secrets for Android data
"Full network access" - to connect to PCSecrets (local network only, no internet access is used)
"Modify/read access to USB storage (SD card)" - for writing debug log if requested
