Outlook not only forgot my password; but, also apparently forgot my IMAP settings for my account, as I was asked to re-enter them along with my password. I've never seen that issue in my entire life (and I've had email since the 1980's). I had to wait to return home from a trip to obtain my IMAP settings. Then, it will not accept my IMAP settings for a website hosted by "GoDaddy). Outlook no longer works - at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app:. Still does not work.

  2. Andy M-avatar

login Was a good app until last update. Now the app opens, you can see everything, but as soon as you open an email to read it, the page stays blank except for the header. I've cleared the cache, force stopped the program, nothing changes, still can't read any emails!! Can't get work done remotely if I can't read my email!! Guess I'll have to uninstall it and load a 3rd party app that actually works

  3. E.T. Phone Home-avatar

download It is allright, but the spam filter is wayyy to active. I daily have to remove my membership emails from the spambox and it does not matter how many time I tell it it i not spam, it does not change. So I'm switching to Spark. So far it seems to do a better job and it has a hell of a lot more ways to tweak it to my liking. (also better support.)

  4. Norman Smit-avatar

kann nicht gestartet werden Microsoft decided to disable the option of being able to open links by default in your default browser. Instead, it opens in the app browser with no option to change that. You then have to tap another button to get it to do so. I'd reconsider the app if they fixed this - especially as it was possible in earlier versions of the app. Uninstalling and switching to TypeApp.

  5. Brian Hoover-avatar

app It seems something changed with the latest update. When clicking hyperlinks in email messages, they now open in a basic browser that's built into Outlook rather than opening in your default browser. In this basic browser, you then have to click the "..." button at the bottom of the screen and then there is a button to "Open in Browser". This never operated this way previously - clicking links would just open them in your default browser. Also, there doesn't appear to be any setting for this.

  6. Ashleigh M-avatar

365 I have long used Outlook as my primary email program (like over 25 years). The recent update to the Android app overrides my system permissions, opening email links in some hybrid Outlook browser, and not very well. It has rendered my ability to sign into websites via an email link impossible, nor can I do such common tasks as change a password from email, because some vital information is now missing. It is impossible to change this behavior, per discussion with support. Do not recommend.

  7. steve jewell-avatar

kaufen It's a shame that microsoft cannot solve the problem of 'drafts' counter still showing items in drafts when there is none. Been an issue for a long time now unresolved! Happens if you press x to cancel or discard draft. You can delete the draft but the counter does not reset to 0. (Using IMAP) Does not happen with basic default mail app.

  8. Craig Beck-avatar

web app Was pretty happy with this app until just recently it started opening hyperlinks in emails in it's own built-in browser and I cannot find any option to turn it off. I have to resort to copying the link, opening the web browser, and pasting the link in there which is a LOT more clicks and annoyance than the old functionality where it opened hyperlinks based on the default web browser you had set in the android settings. Adjusted my review until hopefully it gets fixed.

  9. Miss McQueen-avatar

online Finally accent colours! BUT only Pride flag? Why can't we have individual colours to pick from? FIX DARK MODE! It looks nothing like the image on here, it looks like an overlay with bits of white around the edges. If a link is black you can't see it & qr codes in emails can't be scanned! I would've thought the dark mode would be adaptive but it is a joke. I haven't forgotten about the porno images on contact pics in a previous update. If the app was infected you should come clean about it!

anmelden I'm installing this app for the third time! It works for a while then it stops receiving emails until you open the app. Update 10/11/19 - Its now decided to keep making me enter my password along with all the other Office 365 apps, why? 26/06/20 The reset account option has gone, now have to reinstall when notifications stop every other day! It doesn't get any better 😠

  11. Nicola Cook-avatar

Most recent update now opens links in Microsoft's own browser instead of the one I have set as default. It's very annoying and results in extra steps just to view things properly. Also an ongoing issue is you can't easily 'mark as read' your emails. Who archives that often that this is one of the options instead of 'read'?

  12. Glenn Ballenger-avatar

Very buggy. Frequently loses email account info. Difficult to set up accounts as it keeps saying wrong password or username despite being correct. Annoying message that demands login info for gmail account blocks screen info and won't go away. Somehow added a gmail accont i dont use and I can't get rid of it. Cant find app settings to add, delete or modify accounts. Overall a very poorly designed program. Deleting it and moving on

  13. Supreme Icecreme-avatar

    Supreme Icecreme

Latest update is VERY poor. I can't even open the app. I'm constantly getting pop up messages saying "Outlook keeps stopping", disrupting the use of my phone. I'm on the edge of removing the app from my phone as it simply doesn't function any more – there is no point in having it on my phone any more.

  14. Cassandra Sinclair-avatar

    Cassandra Sinclair

The default browser on my phone is Chrome. I realize that Microsoft is probably not a huge fan of this, but previously, any link I clicked in my email opened my chrome browser (where all of my user names and passwords are saved) and everything was just fine. Since the last update, every link opens in an in-app browser that has none of my information saved, and there's no fix for this in settings. I prefer outlook email over Gmail, but I may have to switch back to Gmail if this isn't fixed.

  15. Ghost-avatar

It's good, however it would be great to add the ability to change notification bar actions. For example change "Archive" to "Mark as Read". TypeApp does this, however for the last year TypeApp has been buggy as hell. Aside from this one gripe of mine it's great. Just want to be able to tidy my inbox without having to go into the app. Edit: guys, stop adding useless features and finish flushing out the email experience.

  16. Steven Marsh-avatar

I wish the app was smarter. When I want to start a new email I expect it to go to the recipient line, not the message body. I can't tell you how many times I have started typing in email addresses in the wrong place. When I want to edit recipients I expect it to go to recipient line, not message body. A rather significant irritation from my perspective. Same thing happens with forward. I want to forward an email, not go to the body of the message.

  17. Amanda Ryan-avatar

Hate the New Features! You have to be able to take multiple steps to open a link to a web browser and I only found this out after almost an hour of searching before stumbling on it by accident! Having it open to their web browser (which is horrible) is confusing/time consuming. Things are more tedious and less user friendly on this version. Something I didn't think was possible. Plus, could you please finally allow users to have larger text? Also, start with the person we are sending to!

  18. croy263-avatar

The app works pretty well, but somehow one of you ended up screwing up the attachment system. I have attempted multiple different ways to attach pictures to emails and the way they are attached makes them useless. Instead of showing up as a file that you can download, Outlook puts them in the text box. This makes them unavailable to download and totally useless. I don't know why the option to add pictures as a file doesn't exiat, but you guys really screwed up such a simple and helpful feature.

  19. Haseeb Ahmed-avatar

No option to add table, even not able to insert a row/ columm to already existing table. plz add this simple option. Email sending/ receiving failed, sent email moves to drafts folder, even unable to access help & support. second time this error within last 10 days, facing lots of difficulty in official work & accesing important email. please resolve urgently. Important feature of email attachment in reply to an missing, please do this urgently much needed feature

This app is very much bulky and become a heavy load on the mobile phone as the time runs. Microsoft guys, why can't you make a lighter version of the app where it can run on any device and also works just like a web based app that does not store much information on the mobile device instead fetches data from Microsoft servers as an when needed and discards unused long standing data from the app. This app should be in-between a mobile app that stores complete data of the outlook version and a web based online outlook that just fetches what is needed at that particular instance of request/time.

  21. Zsolt Germán-avatar

It was good, but recently it does not work for me: I should wait minutes for open an e-mail, so now it is better to use the web version and allow the notifications on the browser. Also it is a huge app: 200 MB app size + 200 MB stored data, it is much more then the size of Google Calendar + GMail on my device. I think you should improve the performance and size efficiency of this app a lot. Keep up the work, I would like to use the app when you fixed these issues! :)

  22. Desmond Brambley-avatar

    Desmond Brambley

Awful. Error message saying "Cannot connect to account", online advice from Microsoft is to check the settings in the app, but there are no buttons or links on the app at all. There's no way to problem solve it, no way to manually enter the settings, no way to get to the settings, nothing can be changed. Absolutely rubbish.

  23. Jennifer B-avatar

I just uninstalled this and went back to using the default, generic "email" app instead. First, I stopped being able to print. Irritating, but not fatal. Now, my links won't open in Chrome, even though it is set as my default browser. I really resent being forced to use Microsoft's built-in browser, so that was the end of this app for me!

  24. Dan Terry-avatar

It was good but now it isn't. I do not get notifications for all my emails. Sometimes I open the app to find I have 10 unread messages with no notification Also, in recent months, it has started really draining my battery. Unfortunately I'm going to have to find a new email app

  25. Alastair Walker-avatar

    Alastair Walker

Good App (mostly) BUT recent update causes it to keep asking for the password for one of my IMAP mail accounts, I then have to re-enter ALL the account details and it says my email or password is incorrect (it isn't). Had something similar in October 2018 which was resolved by a later update, now the same bug has come back (versions 4.1.104 and 4.1.105).

  26. Squink III-avatar

This app has gone from first to worst since the June 23rd update. It no longer supports Exchange e-mail accounts and keeps demanding account credentials every time I try to use it. Maybe Microsoft will fix this in the near future, but it's intolerable now, so I'm uninstalling it.

  27. J Ws-avatar

This is a great email app. Probably the best! Perhaps searching for a particular email or contact could be improved. Maybe more detailed and nuanced search options are offered? Sometimes I can't find the email that I know exists! It would be good if you could access the OneDrive direct from this app. Minor connection issue, but was rectified. Seems like a few reviews are going over the top. Lol, drama.

  28. Loreena Milton-avatar

I use this for school. It's confusing to find where I can search for specific emails or senders. When something messes up I'm rarely specifically told what went wrong and why a message didn't go through. Instead I get a bunch of codes in a dialogue box that mean nothing to me and therefore I don't know how to fix. Shuts down and won't open occasionally. Not too bad to send an email and very effective in communication.

  29. Bobby Mihov-avatar

Calendar keeps creating multiple copies of the same events. Even reset account button has disappeared now so there is no way of fixing that even for a while. That makes the calendar completely useless as nothing can be seen on it because of the multiple copies of the same events.

  30. William Edwards-avatar

If I clear a notification for an upcoming meeting or appointment, it generates a new notification about a minute later. Usually this will stop after the meeting has started, but sometimes a new notification will fire even after the meeting has started. This is incredibly frustrating behavior. If I clear a notification, it's because I'm either aware, or don't care about it. It has actually caused me to miss meetings because the SNR is so low that I start to tune it out.

  31. Chiderah Abani-avatar

This must be one of those apps that don't yet work well with the chromebook. I downloaded it and since then can't seem to scroll up an down on an email message to read it. I have the same app on my phone and it works fine. Really disappoited because now I have to go to the browser to view my emails, and then log in and out each time to switch betweeen email accounts.

  32. Andrew Keller-avatar

Notifications for an Office 365 account don't go away if you read the new email on another device, so I constantly have to clear outdated notifications from the app. Calendar notifications are wonky too-- the app gives multiple notifications for the same event (I guess it's some hack they're using to update the 'starts in x minutes' message in), even after the initial one is dismissed. GMail app doesn't suffer from any of these issues. Complaints about them online date back to 2015.

  33. Barbara Hartsell-avatar

    Barbara Hartsell

The app is not nearly as good or user friendly as the PC version. You cannot sort the various email folders by date, sending/defending, alphabetically, etc. You must utilize your PC for those features. Inbox shows by most recent date only. That aspect is very inconvenient, and the reason for my low rating. The app is available, and I have not had any other issues while using it on my Google Pixel 2XL mobile phone. I use the app daily.

  34. Tony Kirke-avatar

The app was working fine until the June 23rd update when it suddenly started opening links in some crappy internal browser that just doesn't work properly. There doesn't seem to be any way of turning this off and going back to using Chrome. You have to click the open in browser link to actually see the webpage properly. It is also draining my battery much faster since it installed the update. Is currently top of the list of battery draining apps. Another badly tested upgrade from Microsoft.

IMAGE BASED/ HTML EMAIL SIGNATURES!!! I can't believe how this simple but important feature is missing. On the desktop version of this app (windows 10 mail) it's available and in the web app too. But for this one? The android app only supports text based signatures 🥴 Some of us need this for work and that consistency is important. Kindly fix this, please. Thank you.

  36. Mieke Bruin-avatar

I've been having issues for the last few weeks with my inbox not syncrhonising. When I move emails to a different folder in the app, when I close and re-open the app on my phone or open my inbox in a browser, these changes are undone and I have to move the emails to their repestive folders a second time

  37. Chris McKenna-avatar

I left a company so they disabled the email account I had added to the app. Now, I get a prompt to sign in to that account that: 1) I can't remove from the screen, even temporarily and 2) sits over the settings icon so I can't remove the account. Using app on Samsung S8. It's a poor user experience. Please fix. Otherwise, app has been reliable. Thank you

  38. Alvaro C.L.-avatar

In the beginning was great but mails (Google, Yahoo, Live) keep showing up even after got deleted when I close the app and return after a time, notifications have a delay in dong the selected action like delete or mark as readed, lasty stupid featured for LGBTQ groups to make more marketing/appeal instead of corrected/listen to the actual problems with the app, please for the God sake, listen to your users who use your system, you didn't listen any from us insiders for the update in Windows 10

This app changes the format of my email text so I cant zoom in or out, meaning I have to scroll left to right to read each line of text. This seems to have been a problem with the app since 2013 (on the message boards I have been to trying to fix the problem). Dont have a lot of faith in a company's who ignores problems for that long. AVOID THIS APP AT ALL COSTS!

Worked perfectly fine on my Note 9 up until the June 15th update. Now it says I have to log in. So i do. It shows old emails but nothing new. I try to refresh, and it says you have to log in. Round and round it went. I uninstalled and reinstalled and now it wont even recognize my email.

  41. Zyxian-avatar

If you have blocked external images and have a non Exchange account and you click the Download Images link for Images you want/trust, it doesn't. I went back and forth with support but ended up with "We are aware of it and will fix in future updates". There have been several updates since then but issue still persist. If you have pop accounts, don't download this.

  42. Kathy Watts-avatar

Within the last 2 weeks or so, the app has stopped allowing me to reply or forward any emails. Get an error that it could not connect to smtp port 465. This is not the port code I use for my ISP. Very frustrating, will probably go back to using the Samsung email app that came with my phone. Discouraging since I like the app until it stopped working, even after resetting and uninstalling/re-installing.

No way to print emails!! I also hate how clumsy and difficult it is to add recipients to the CC and BCC fields and how it collapses the message you're replying to automatically so you can't write an intelligent response. Searches are ridiculous and look at files, contacts, and other items in addition to emails unless you waste time fiddling with the settings. AVOID. Back to BluMail I go,even if it takes forever to set up.

Do Not download this app, it forces you to see all of you emails from any inbox in just one general inbox. Its stupid, its a result of brain filled with what is not accepted. all of you emails revolved without you knowing where it came from? I thought of stupid before this and now I really know the real definition of "THIS IS JUST STUPID" outlook had to be microsoft to be so stupid, useless and inefficient. Very more than deserved f u c k o f f microsoft! Keep up with stupid!!!

The app is beyond useless. It's is ridiculously slow, even unresponsive. It's spam filter is the worst I've ever seen. It puts away some of my most important emails and keeps the ones asking for my details. It is very slow to send an email and half the time won't unless you're looking at it. The multi select and deselect hardly every works. Most times it is quicker to open the mobile version on my web browser. This is an integral tool in every day life. for the past two or so months the app keeps shutting down and it's gotten to the point where I can't even open my emails. the app works fine on my phone but on my tablet it just shut down. the app crashes all the time. no matter what I do. it's updated, my tablet is updated but it still crashes as soon as I open a email. I either have to go to the website or open the exact same app on my cell phone. I have no issues on my cell phone just my tablet. fix it.

  47. Kreem A-avatar

Slow interface. Bad user experience with lots of bugs . Freezing issues became a feature of the application. You are better off using a third part platform to access your email. Why would you include a political feature in the application. Its not a social application 😒. Be professional and make all political beliefs available or don't include one of your own choice😉 by it self I don't see black lives matter movement supported.

  48. Kenny O-avatar

Initially a decent app. Then everything started going into the junk file. The spam filter acquired a mind of its own, now it freezes up and just exits. I've deleted and reinstalled several times, this will be the last try on that effort. It states it's not optimal for this device, but it once worked perfectly on it. Anyway, one more attempt.

It's awful in terms of email tracing! After years of being used to the clarity and straightforwardness of a BT email address, navigating Outlook is a disaster. For example sometimes I have to go to the Sent folder to find an email as once replied to, some emails are tagged to the reply and are no longer visible in the Inbox

  50. Qasid Labeed-avatar

The App is overall really good, but it seems to miss a key feature for labeling incoming emails. This is really crucial when using Linked Inbox. As all the time, I need to manually check the origin of the email. With this feature included definitely 5 stars

  51. Mark Bush-avatar

$99 a year for a mobile app that barely or never works? They should be ashamed. Just got disconnected from support. It's no better than the worthless SMS help. If I hadn't just paid for it, I'd move on. Dont waste your money if you want to keep your sanity! Update. 2 months later outlook stops working again. So over it!

  52. Nicholas Clark-avatar

Overall it's not a bad app but it's missing some of the basic functionality that every email app should have. I keep my emails organized into folders and on the desktop I get alerts on several of the subfolders. However, Microsoft has somehow overlooked this major feature in the Android app. I honestly think this is the first email app I've used without the feature. Since I need the emails from these subfolders it makes the entire app useless.

  53. Len Hubbard-avatar

As of 6/15/20 it appears that the issues have been resolved. Syncs with my PC fine now. As of 5/15/20 Outlook is constantly crashing on both my phone and tablet. Please fix. After recent updates this is working well. Keeps me synced over three devices plus my PC. Last update and I can't empty the Trash. Update 4/26 and I still can't delete the trash. Microsoft please correct so it does not crash when shifting to Focused view. Makes the program unusable. FIX IT.

  54. Ninad Shinkar-avatar

Something wrong with this and teams..every time I try opening the app, it asks me login to O365..After doing that also, it takes a long time to load and does not open up..Next time again it asks to login to O365...Did this almost 100 times bur still I cant see my mails...Help me resolve the issues microsoft.

  55. Angelica Lu-avatar

It's good for functionality but sometimes it doesn't load new messages until I refresh a folder. Biggest gripe is that I want to mark the most recent email unread and NOT the ENTIRE conversation. Please update a function to let you only mark the most recently read message as unread.

update: There is scrolling. You have to put your mouse cursor on the right edge and then two finger scroll. It is not discoverable though, I read it on the web. No scrolling full screen preview on Chrome OS. If you make the window phone size, you can select an email and scroll through it. In full screen, you see your list of emails and the preview of the selected email, but you cannot scroll through it nor can you double click and open the email and view it that way.

Stop changing icons and adding frilly bits and CONCENTRATE ON THE CORE REQUIREMENTS OF A MAIL CLIENT. On the whole good apart from display of folders... a nightmare if you've lots of nested folders, they need to be collapsible as desktop client. Still 2 due to folders.. and not able to split data to SD card. As have multiple accounts need to distinguish which account a message belongs to when all accounts selected.

Here are my suggestions: (1) For dark theme, give an option to make the color of the e-mail body to white; (2) Give an option to "Print" the e-mail. Other 3rd party apps has this option and it's so convenient; (3) Scale the e-mails properly; (4) If there are multiple e-mails in the notification, have an option of not removing it after opening one of the e-mails. Thank you.

  59. James Sutton-avatar

Why did Microsoft change the "Move to Folder" command, which used to allow movement to a variety of archive folders? Now, it opens a window to "Move Conversion", rather than providing a choice of folders. Regardless of what you try, the only button that works is the "Cancel" button. I can only move mail on my computer, leaving the Android version a crippled shadow of its former self. Please fix this release.

  60. Brandon Greely-avatar

Behind the times! App feels dated and clunky - on Android anyway. Can't format text, unable to use bold or customize signatures? Is this a app part of a broken time machine? Feels like Microsoft is playing a joke on anyone who's using this app. Definitely not impressed.

  61. Daniel Dekan-avatar

Edited my review from 5 to 3 stars. Can't add pictures to the message as an attachment, they get automatically placed into the text. And there are frequent updates, that add 30-50MB to the app, but do not change much (the recent one just added an option of pride accent colors). Now the app has almost 600MB. If they ruin the app more, I'll switch to a different email client.

  62. A K-avatar

This is probably the worst email app. It shows that I have received an email in the pop up notification and it doesn't show up when I open the inbox. I had to refresh for it show up! Strange behavior! Too many clicks to mark an email as read. Cannot mark email as read or delete from the notification. Even out of the box Samsung email client does a better job! Calendar notifications are horrendous. Why do people use this app!!

  63. Lissie Jane-avatar

Have used this app for years and always thought it was good. Lately, however, I have had issues with attaching images and usually I send the email and check only to see the image hasn't attached and then have to reply to that email with another one to try and send the image. And the last month or so every time I try to open an email it tries to open it but then freezes up and won't open it. Usually after going back and then trying to open it again it does but it is a complete pain in the butt.

  64. Aron Alliston-avatar

Attached images are always inline which causes problems when composing messages. The search function is terrible (the same in gmail), I needed an important document to send to the police and it failed to find it, causing a huge problem for me. Has some issues zooming in on email (often doesn't respond to the gesture) and once zoomed in navigating with your finger also has issues. Both gestures usually work on the second attempt. Otherwise a (slightly) better alternative to Gmail.

  65. Rich Harborne-avatar

Latest update on android has thoroughly broken Outlook when trying to delete mails using an imap connection. It's random and not affecting all mails but when I delete either from within the email or swiping from the email folders it either crashes outlook and/or says its deleted but the item stays on screen and does not delete. I've checked on my pc and the email is still there, so it's not deleted from the mail server either way. Also agree on reply formatting, yuck.. Not intuitive at all..

Does not support EAS 16.1 which allows the remote wipe feature. This app has been stuck with EAS 14.1 that was first supported way back in Exchange 2010! They want you to subscribe to MAM with MS Intune, which if you've ever checked the price, is the same as a full blown o365 subscription! The native Gmail app is the only thing we've found that supports EAS v16 to allow Exchange server to remote wipe the email account on a mobile device.

  67. Robert Burns-avatar

Unreliable with BT email account. I run this app with three email accounts, one of which is BT. Every few days, usually when I move between know WiFi routers the app will so receiving BT emails and start asking for IMAP settings. No matter what information you put in, you cannot get the app to reconnect with the account. Only solution is to delete and reinstate the account. I have seen a lot of comments on this on various sites. Very frustrating.

I have been unable to use this app since I bought my new phone (Tecno Camon15) and installed it. Each time I enter my work place email to take me to the password page, it keeps displaying; "an error occurred" Please kindly look into this as I have been unable to get my work place mails on the go. Thank you.

  69. Matyus Gus-avatar

For over three years I have the same experience with scrolling through messages. I scroll up in a message and it keeps jumping back down. I cannot read past messages. I reported it twice. They fixed it once and destroyed it in the next update a month or two later. This is not the Microsoft experience that I am used to. I wish they actually read the reviews and take notes on what is wrong with the app. There are so many bad reviews I don't understand how this app is more than 3 stars...

  70. Bryce Hall-avatar

I use the website from Microsoft edge as it is far superior. The fact that this outlook app, for me, won't even show messages, new or old, for ALL my folders automatically so i need to individually check each time but the website does proves how ineffective this app is.

Used to be the Best email program by far! But a recent update has caused the program to constantly ask for my password. It's annoying and I don't receive emails in real time now...unless I keep enterknbvthe password. Please fix this!

  72. Janine Jacobs-avatar

Used to like this app but recently I cannot use the search function, it says there a no emails when I can find then myself by trawling through them. I thought it was my new phone playing up, but same thing happens on the iPad. Forwarding emails to recently used addresses used to be helpful too but now have to retype entire email address.

  73. Katey Halbert-avatar

March 3, 2020: What the heck is going on with this app?! I can't respond to emails, the screen just closes out and takes me to my inbox; and when I finally DO get a response sent it saves as a draft! This is outrageous! Please fix this ASAP EDIT: June 15, 2020 Problem was fixed and now has returned within the last two weeks. Absolutely ridiculous.

  74. con chuk-avatar

The update of March 5 would not at first let me open emails in my inbox; or rather, when I opened them, they appeared to have no content. Now, I can't even open the app: it shuts itself down each time I try. Given other comments, I think I will have to uninstall this app, and I likely won't bother attempting to reinstall it. This is a shame, because I've used Outlook for years.

  75. Luca Mozzo-avatar

The app works well, however, after removing a work account from the device, I'm constantly asked to sign in at the bottom, even if the account in outlook has been removed too. What's more is that the sign in button is at the bottom and can't be dismissed, so I can't access the calendar nor the settings. The account is deactivated, so I can't sign in again, had to reinstall the app

It is very tedious to use. For first, it gets logged out every few days or sometimes hours(even if the network is down). For logging in, you will need to put the password and then wait for OTP(which does not come on time many times). So much hassles that I hardly check my mails on phone. Only use it because outlook is used by my organization or would have dumped this useless app for better apps exist like GMail.

Interface design gets worse with each version. Delete emails puts it in a recovery folder that you can not access to delete forever, so high risk... If anyone accesses your emails account on any computer they can just go to trash, recovery, and recover all your deleted emails and any private and confidential data. This app has endless symbols and not a single key to tell you what anything does... When the website version never fully refreshes properly I am forever having to press f5

  78. Scott Lanin-avatar

I am experiencing the same known issue as others. The app continually logs me out of one of my email accounts and keeps asking me for the password over and over. Microsoft must be aware of this but has not fixed it and I will now need to find a replacement app because this one does not work. I liked it before this problem but this renders the app very annoying and useless now.

  79. Bill-avatar

Force me to use an internal browser? Mine blocks ads and popups! Yours - NOPE Only one color scheme (pride). That's good BUT what about a few more? (Patriotic colors, Spring colors, Winter colors, Bright, Subdued, etc.). Fix ASAP or it's getting uninstalled.

  80. Josh Burns-avatar

Very poor customer service. In the past week i have had 2 hotmail accounts get locked without clear reasons why, with the 2nd account only being 3 days old. I have filled out the recovery forms which state a 24 hr response without receiving anything back from Microsoft. I tried calling the N.A number which directed me to an online chat which directed me back to the form I cant get a response from. I have paid subscriptions linked to this email that I now cant access and is costing me money.

  81. Treazure-avatar

Can't access account settings at all? I need to update the password to an account, but there's no way to edit options of an account. You have to delete it? Stop removing the ability to customize. If you want to keep it simple, put all the customization behind an "advanced" check box or something, but don't get rid of it! Also, I need to reset my account & my phone at least once a day to receive any emails. This is basic stuff! You're Microsoft, how is this so broken? Throw money & talent at it.

  82. Nak Koe-avatar

Latest update forces links to open in outlook. I like opening multiple links for later to read in browser. Why is there not a way to choose what happens when you click a hyperlink? Also Why does it not have an unsubscribe feature like gmail does? Even yahoo mail app has this feature?

  83. Flora P-avatar

Forced to get the outlook app since trying to log in with the account into the default email app asked for unreasonable permissions (including the ability to remotely wipe my phone). Overall the app is adequate. Please add the option to add photos as file attachments instead of default embedding them in the body of the email (lack of this feature is where stars were lost).

  84. Rennc10-avatar

Two things:- 1) For the love of God please let me *attach* a photo to an email. No, attachment does not mean in the body. Fix this please, it drives me absolutely spare. 2) I'd like to choose what order the accounts are in on the left pane. Minor compared to my first problem, but still not hard to fix. Thanks

  85. Austin-avatar

App works as intended. Why the 2 star review? I had an old college email connected to my account. I removed the account and the corresponding folders on the desktop version and the folders are still showing up despite the deletion. Found out this is a common issue that people have been asking for solutions to for about five years now to no avail.

An absolute horror of an app. If it was a dog, I would take it around the back of the barn and put it out of its misery. OK, lets just start with the biggest problem this crappy app has. So far this week (even though all my settings are spot on and correct) I have had to sign in with my password on every occasion I use it. I say sign in, you cant just sign in, you have to first deleat you account then start again from first base. I've sent several contacts to the developers but no reply.

  87. Naeem Ismail-avatar

I receive a lot of spam. It seems those spam emails have been masked my email address and are now in the auto-complete list. Sent an email to self and I have no idea where it's going. Can't seem to get rid of autoxomplete list withouy deleting all my data. Absolutely rubbish... And now deleting. So disappointing.

  88. Misty C-avatar

My contacts pop up but when I send the email, it's going to a different email address than selected. I addressed this multiple times to Microsoft Outlook and they don't have a fix. This is a security issue. You select the email address that's written exactly as it should be, yet it is being sent to a different (fake) address.

  89. Ediee Diaz-avatar

I had my work email on the app. I quit and no longer have credentials to login. I try to delete the email account but I cannot because there is a banner asking me to log in which is at the bottom of the screen and is covering the settings icon. Maybe don't allow the login banner to cover the settings icon.

  90. ford peterson-avatar

Worst ever! I've had to use the pos android app and it is frustrating beyond belief. No calendar function that works. People are impossible to locate because last, first names on desktop becomes first, last in alphabetical order by first name. Android auto is the absolutely impossible to run while accessing outlook data files.

  91. Ricardo Guzman-avatar

After last update was unable to compose any emails. After several attempts to reset that failed. So I thought best to Uninstaller the app and reload it and see if that might solve the issue. That was even worst. Now unable to set up email. Doesn't do anything after you try to enter your email address to set up....Not Good!!!!!

  92. Shubham Kumar-avatar

One major feature is missing. It has been requested from so long by many users: Why notifications only appear for inbox folder Most of us get thousands of company mails a day. And we create a rule to move important mails (to,cc) to another folder. We actually need to get notifications for that folder, not inbox one. On Windows desktop app, it's easy to setup. But not on mobile.

  93. Green Bricks-avatar

The app designers are so stupid ... (please sign into my other account) message appears right over the bottom search bar and you just cant search it's so frustrating and it just doesn't go away until you sign in to the other account there is no option to delete the account from android app! Microsoft people wake up!

  94. Tim Jordan-avatar

Since the last update I cannot download emails from my providers server and the "Load more messages" link/button is missing from the inbox. I have also found out that emails will only download from the last 30 days if you are lucky. This makes this app next to useless. The reason I gave it two stars is because it seems to work okay with office 365 (what a surprise?) and Yahoo but any other email provider may struggle?

  95. A Google User-avatar

Email just dissapears after tapping notification. "Couldn't open message" now it's gone, nowhere to be found. Lucky it wasn't important but I'm switching none the less. One account only gets about half of all verification mails. Not really happy with it recently, before that it was great.

I am using the Outlook app on a Samsung Note 10+ running Android 10. A few days the Outlook app quit automatically syncing my inbox and providing email notifications. I have to go in and manually refresh my outlook inbox for new emails to show up. I tried my reset/delete my account and have reinstalled the app from the Google Play Store numerous times. Outlook still does notify me for calendar events though. I’ve not changed any settings on my phone and notifications are on for Outlook. This only started happening when the Outlook app was updated 3 days ago.

  97. A Google user-avatar

Using this app is like playing the lottery, sometimes you get to read your email and sometimes it just crashes the app no matter how many times you try to open an email . To put it another way it's TOTALLY USELESS. Its really sad that with the number of apps available worldwide that the worlds largest software company can't get theirs right..

PREVIOUS VERSION "It just works as it should, nice and simple and clear. Love it." It did work ok until the update in 12 June. THIS VERSION Now some of my emails are so big they don't shrunk onto the screen and I have to pan sideways to read them. I'm not happy! Can we go back to the last version please!

  99. ian reynolds-avatar

increasingly frustrating to use as you cant remove addresses from showing in autocomplete, so any single junk mail or phishing scam that ever emailed me shows up under my own name. If i want to fire off a quick link or something that like that for when i get home, i have to scroll and scroll through dozens of phishing scams that have come up over a decade, and frequently can't even find the address I need. Recent edit: can't save attachments! Great!!!!

Outlook has begun freezing and not loading new messages. I have had to uninstall it and reinstall it daily for a couple of weeks. I presumed Microsoft had updated it and eventually they would fix the bugs, but so far they haven't. I turn to the version I can access on my Chrome browser, but I would prefer the app itself to be reliable once again.
